I upgraded from my soundlink II Bose Headphones figured I would give these a try I love my soundlink II wireless headphones never any Bluetooth issues. These cut in out while listening to Audible or music if I received a text message it would create a secondary static feedback for what I was listening. Also the headphones would constantly connect and disconnect. Returned them for a new pair of Soundlink's save yourself 120 dollars and buy them.

Thank you, Bose, for yet again, delivering on a technological work of art that has the same signature, uniquely warm, inviting appeal in it's construction, and rich, almost three-dimensional audio playback, that frankly, many have learned to love, appreciate, and expect from you.

My dad is a bit on the older side and hearing is an issue for him. I got these for him to work with his Samsung TV and he is loving them. It is nice for him to be able to hear the TV without everyone else needing ear plugs - - for that reason alone, these were worth every penny!

    Good for a year.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I rarely write reviews, but these are not worth the money unless you're willing to buy new headphones every 1-2 years. Months 1-9; these are excellent. They charge fast, have excellent sound quality, do a good job of noise cancelling. Months 10-18; the ear cups slowly deteriorate. Every time. you wear them they'll leave bits of black dust on and in your ears. Spend $35 to buy new ones. Months 19-present; every time you push play on your phone or laptop and wonder why the sounds isn't working? Well that's because your QC-35s have randomly turned ON and have connected to your devices... Customer service on their website will automatically lead to a page saying your product is out of warranty. I assume most of the good reviews on the page are from people who have recently purchased these, and they're correct- it's a great product for a short time. But if you want a product that has any longevity, keep shopping.

      Hi John,

I'm sorry to hear of your personal experience with the QC35 II headphones. It's disappointing to learn your usage has not been great for you. Their performance and sound quality should not deteriorate over time.

Ear cushion material deterioration cannot be given a time scale because this will vary greatly on the environment they are used in, the frequency of use, sweat acidity and how the headphones are cared for and stored. For example, my personal headphones have been owned since 2016 and the cushions are only now starting to show slight signs of wear. I use them for a few hours a day, during work, then when I've finished using them, I gently wipe them with a lightly dampened cloth, allow them to fully dry, then store them in the included case.

Our products come with a one-year warranty, should a problem occur outside of this time, we offer non-warranty service which can be obtained by getting in touch with us direct or via the Bose website.

If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Kind regards,

Jeff - Bose Customer Support bose

I bought these a couple of months ago for work and I am not super impressed. I can't get them to connect to my MacBook Pro. The noise cancellation is fair but I expected more for the price. With just the noise cancellation on I can hear everything still but if I have music on at half volume it'll drown out most noise. However, that's the music drowning out the noise, not the headphones technology doing the work. If I walk away from my phone into the adjacent room, the bluetooth cuts out so the range is subpar and frustrating. Also, after about one hour the bluetooth will sometimes randomly stop and I'll have to reconnect. The battery life is definitely not 20 hours and the charging cable is so small that I have to put a bench under the outlet so it doesn't dangle when charging. On the upside they are very comfortable.

    Bad headset

I was so excited to purchase this Bose headset because I've heard nothing but good things from friends and family. I had issues sleeping so I wanted to purchase something I could clearly listen to ASMR with. I've had this product for about 24 hrs and the headset has started screeching a high pitch sound in my ear. I'm very disappointed that a product this expensive has a common screeching issue. I will be returning the product to get my money back. Everything else is awesome but I wish the product wasn't defective.

Hi Vikki, Thank you for taking the time to review the QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Headphones. We're sorry to hear you've been hearing a screeching sound through the headphones. This is definitely not a common issue you have been experiencing and we would recommend checking for any possible blockages in the earcups' ports. Blockages here can cause feedback similar to what you are describing and could be causing this issue. We hope this helps. bose

    TERRIBLE Mac Bluetooth Connectivity

******* MACBOOK USERS BEWARE******* Initially I was very impressed with these headphones. NC was fantastic and audio was great. However, my first pair started cutting audio out every few seconds while watching videos or listening to music on my Mac. I tried everything possible to resolve this issue and it still was there. Replaced them and the new pair did not last 2 hours before the same problem came up. VERY annoying and VERY disappointing from Bose. I will be returning these and getting the Sony WH-1000XM3.

    Just OK

After finding the Sony 1000XM2 headphones very uncomfortable, I was hoping for the best with these. But, alas, I returned them. The QC 35 II's are more comfortable than the Sony yet they, too, were tough to wear for long periods of time with my glasses. The sound was not nearly as good as the Sony headphones and, in fact, they sounded most of the time like there were socks stuffed in them (I checked; there were none). I tried using the Bose headphones with the bluetooth transmitter connected to my TV -- which, since the QC 35 II's don't support aptX resulted in exceedingly annoying lag. Lastly, the QC 35 II were difficult to pair and, especially, reconnect with multiple devices. Compared to the Sony headphones, the Bose had more of a plastic-based feel (like, when flipping the on/off/pairing switch), but I suppose that makes them lighter weight and somewhat more comfortable. I thought these would be the ones...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II, Brad. We're sorry to hear the headphones' sound quality didn't meet your expectations. We greatly appreciate your feedback regarding the long-term comfort of the ear cushions, the build quality, and the Bluetooth connection. This model is engineered primarily for music playback. We completely understand that an audio-video delay would be frustrating, and our engineers are always working to improve our products. Though it appears you have chosen to return the QC35 II, we hope that you consider Bose in the future. Thank you again, and have a great day! Jesse - Bose Support Bose

Good sound quality when it works. Bluetooth connectivity is a constant issue, especially after the latest updates. One minute it connects the next it's gone. Even worse is when it's connected but the sound is skipping (flashback to a scratched CD!). The fact that you pay so much money for a product and get so little customer support is telling.

      Hey there,
I'm glad to hear that you like the sound of the QC35 II's!
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with the connectivity through Bluetooth and will be more than happy to help!
I would recommend that you clear the pairing list on the headphones. You can do this by following the instructions outlined here: https://bose.life/3ynmArB. Once complete, delete the pairing from your source device and connect like a new connection. This should help to stabilize the connection.
      Thanks!

    Practically worthless

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These headphones are very comfortable, but that’s where the positivity ends. The sound is vaguely decent, the noise cancelling is completely ineffective, and, most egregiously, the battery is practically worthless. I purchased these headphones as a gift a few months ago, and the battery now drops from 90% to 30% in the span of a few minutes, with its total lifespan being less than an hour on Bluetooth. In every category—sound quality, noise cancellation, battery life, build quality, etc—these headphones are FAR worse than many others at this price point. You’ll barely notice that you have them on… but that has less to do with comfort and more to do with uselessness. Do not buy.
