We were heading out of town for vacation and my wife wanted a pair of noise canceling headphones. We went to the store and tried them all out. We had previously did research and asked some business traveling friends or their input and at the end of it all we got these Bose. We could not be happier with our purchase. Nice quiet flight with no outside noise. Everyone can appreciate that!!!!

Other reviewers here have talked about the comfort and the features. So I won't repeat any of that. Let's just say I agree with any of the 5 star reviews. But it's time to knock 2 stars off. Here's why: This was my first dive into buying wireless headphones for my mobile devices. Growing up I had always looked up to Bose purely for their great reputation. I had never owned a Bose product myself. My personal opinion of Bose has changed after buying these headphones. Because they won't pay a little extra for the Qualcomm Aptx audio codec chip. Bluetooth has long been plagued with an audio latency problem. Have you ever been watching Netflix with some Bluetooth headphones and noticed the lips are out of sync? Or maybe you noticed it in your car, when you're safely parked watching a YouTube video. Qualcomm released a method of Bluetooth compression that allows for "CD quality" audio to be sent over Bluetooth. Coincidentally that technology also allows for low latency transmission. (its a choice/tradeoff). But since Bose doesn't wanna pay a couple royalties, all of their customers don't get this Bluetooth capability. No Bose nor Beats have this chip. On Qualcomm 's website they have a full list of every product to date that uses the chip. Like I said, I had alway looked to Bose for top end quality, but you don't get that here. Counter argument for the 3.5mm jack: yes it's nice that we still have the option to use 3.5mm for lossless and no-latency audio, but what exactly are we plugging that into?

Very comfortable, and effective. Once you wear one o. A plane, you will never want to travel without it.

These headphones are pretty good. I like the noise canceling on them. I also like that I can have 2 Bluetooth devices connected at the same time. I would prefer a better battery life.

As expected from Bose, these headphones have the very best quality sound and they are so comfortable.

I am cheap by nature but do appreciate high quality items. After 2 other headphone purchases I broke down to buy these. Boy I’m just upset it took me this long. For any traveler I can’t imagine a better pair for the air. With the noice cancellation option I don’t have to turn the volume at max level anymore and the clarity of the audio is top notch. Very happy with the buy. I know they are pricy but with Bose you pay for what you get.

These headsets exceeded my expectations in all facets, noise cancelling, sound quality, and comfort.

Air travel is not what it use to be - crowds, less space, fewer amenities, etc... These headphones provide a bit of much needed escape and respite from the chaos of travel - they are amazing. You can watch your movie or listen to music without having it blasting. Used at home they are an opportunity to drop into a world of seclusion - cut out the background and focus on just what is at hand. Yes, I would recommend these headphones.

These headphones are awesome. My office overlooks a busy noisy street, and these headphones almost completely cancel all the noise, to where it doesn't annoy me anymore. I also have a pair of Thinkpad X1 headphones, and the Bose are much better. The music is also awesome with these Bose 35 II headphones. I bought them during the Black Friday sale and got a great deal.
