Noise Cancelling Earphones

Background noises are NOT my friend! I haven't been able to talk on the phone all of these years but with these earphones I am!!! No noise gets thru and all I hear is the other party talking. They have to talk directly into the receiver and have no noise going on their end but I can hear! I love them!

Having a hearing problem didn't help, with background noises. Especially on long plane trips the constant roaring of the plane and hundreds of other noises. Was one of the best purchases I made and enjoy daily.

I don’t give 5 stars out unless they are above superb quality. Seriously I don’t think that one needs to spend 350$ on Headphones. So I didn’t I got a open box and these are great. Anything more seems overkill for something that sits on your head. These are loud if you want great bass and highs. It’s the mid range that seems to fail. I will try them more with different stream sources and see if they dazzle me more and check back. After having bad luck with the Bose Sport Earbuds (battery goes dead after a week in the case) I’m Leary of Bose head gear.

The sound quality for music is very good and these headphones are the most comfortable that I have tried. However the audio quality on phone calls was not good. There seemed to be a delay on the other end of my phone calls and there was distortion on both ends. I bought these with the intention of using them on conference calls for work but found myself having to switch to my handset more often than not. I returned them and will try to find something else.

However, we see that you had some trouble when using the headphones during phone calls. We would like to explain a bit of the technology behind the microphone integrated into them. We tuned the communication microphones, mainly used for telephone conversations to the human voice frequency range. They automatically adjust the gain (microphone volume) for “low talkers.” In a loud environment where there are voices in the background, it’s possible the microphones will pick up those background voices and bring up the gain. This can send the background voices through to the far end person on a call. You may have heard this too, which is known as sidetone. Though we see that you’ve returned the headphones, we would always hope that you’ll remain a member of the Bose family. We thank you for your feedback and being a loyal Bose customer. The noise cancellation aspect of these headphones makes every flight I'm on an enjoyable experience. Make sure you get the noise cancelling headphones and not the regular headphones. It makes all the difference. I travel a great deal and as soon as I reach my seat I put the headphones on and the craziness of loading a plane disappears.
