Wont say that it cancels out the noise 100% but does work at its best minimizing the background noises to a minimum level. Only issue I observed as soon I got them on my head is the length of the headphones. Overall, I would say go for it !

Not as good on the noise canceling as I thought there would be - maybe that's just me. Sound quality on phone is very good for me and the recipient.
