Like many, I primarily use the noise cancelling feature on flights. I splurged and got the wireless even though my wired are still in great shape and I was seriously disappointed in the noise cancelling feature on the wireless set. Wired pair virtually silent in noise cancelling mode, while it's hard to tell the difference between when the wireless set is in noise cancelling or not. Tried different batteries, still not good. They sound ok when listening to music or movies, but not what I expected from a Bose product or the price. My wireless skull candy's sound WAY better, but they aren't noise cancelling
