I like these headphones for the most part. I have a hearing deficiency in one ear and wanted a headset with balance control. When I bought these headphones at Best Buy the salesman told me that balance control could be achieved by downloading an app, but so far this is not the case. The unit works well with my Ipad and Iphone, but not with my LG Oled tv, which delays the sound about a half second. Bose tells me it's a problem with the tv and LG tells me it's the headphones.

I will admit to much anticipation to receive the Bose Quietcomfort 35 II headphones. I have owned Bose wired earbud headphones which had good sound and quality fit and finish, but pricey. The price of the QC 35 headphones at suggested retail of $350 put this in a Cadillac category for this mainstream consumer, although there are headphones that are even pricier. I have heard that Bose products have a deep sound and highs are muffled, and bass would be exaggerated, and that audiophiles would be better served with other products like a Sennheiser. I discovered the Quietcomfort 35 II headphones are definitely a very fine set of headphones with excellent fit and finish, high quality sound and great features. The QC 35 comes in a really nice package, in a cushioned shell box with the headset folded into a nice shape within the box. The fit and finish is good, the device unfolds and then has plenty of adjustment for my big head, and the fit was snug over my ears. I was concerned before receiving the QC 35 that the headphones would look big on my head. However, I did not feel uncomfortable at all while wearing the device; it felt like a good fit, around the top of my head and over my ears. The device comes with an audio cable for listening to music from smartphone or other device with an audio out cable in case you don't want to use Bluetooth or if Bluetooth is unavailable (such as for an older stereo). In addition, the headset includes a usb charging cable for connecting to a PC; if you want to charge from a wall outlet you will need to add an adapter which we all have lying around in a desk drawer from some other leftover device. The QC 35 is also shown to come with an airline adapter which I might have misplaced when opening the box. I primarily used the QC 35 headphones in the Bluetooth mode, and the provided sound is beautiful and powerful, no matter what type of music you play. The sound is rich, and the volume is strong and more than sufficient, even with Bluetooth which can sometimes be insufficient. Bass response was good with hip hop music and symphony, and I also enjoy music soundtracks which sound really sharp, clear and crisp with these headphones. I am not an audiophile but I was really pleased and I feel the general consumer would feel the same. The QC 35 headphones have rechargeable batteries and the unit came already charged in the box. There are indicators on the device for showing when Bluetooth is connected and the battery indicator. Bose says these headphones will go 20 hours between a charge, and with quick charging the headphones will receive 2 hours of power with a fifteen-minute charge. I have not done that part yet; the device came with 70% power and with a couple of hours use has dropped to about 60 %. On the side of the QC 35 there is an on/off switch, a volume rocker on one side, and on the other side is a button that invokes the Google Assistant. This feature is really great, very good integration with Google with this button. I will need to experiment further with this feature. Once the headphones power up, a pleasant female voice tells you the battery power level, so you are not guessing when it is time to recharge. There is a volume up / down button, with a multi-function button in the center that will control media playback functions or call functions. This multi-function button will require reading and learning the combinations, and likely some practice to put this to memory. I likely won't use all the features to their fullest but hopefully the most common needs will be simple to remember. Time will tell. You can also set noise reduction to high, low and off settings. The high-level noise reduction does an excellent job cutting out the outside noise. I really look forward to using this in my office area which can have a fair amount of conversation noise from meetings within the cubicle spaces. The QC 35 headphones, when paired with a smartphone, utilize a Bose Connect app available from the Android play store or iTunes. This review is based on Android with LG G6. The pairing was painless with the Android LG G6. The online information from Bose about this app is that you use it to access the onboard features of the QC 35, such as auto-off timer, volume control, and battery readings. The app will enable you to easily flip between connections for two different devices. You can also connect two different Bose headphones to one device, such as your smartphone, to share music output such as during a session at the library or the office. Pairing is initiated by holding the on/off button hard over to the right (past the on setting). To turn off the headphones you just flip the on/off switch to the left. I also used the QC 35 headset with my HP Envy Core 7 laptop. This is not the latest and greatest laptop, it is about 3 or more years old, but it has been updated to Windows 10. I have had challenges pairing Bluetooth with two other headphones but had success with those devices. The QC35 paired with the HP Envy with no challenge at all. The sound was great, and I used it to watch a video off Netflix and it was a satisfying experience. By no means is this an exhaustive review performed by a professional, but by a consumer who enjoys technology and sharing his opinion. The QC 35 II headphones are really good, and ultimately justify the significant price tag. If you can get a better price, great, but I feel that a person is truly deserving of great quality sound and this Bose product delivers.
