Hi, thank you for reaching out. It is surprising the ear cups heat up and you have been unable to get noise cancellation working. I would recommend setting up the Bose music app to allow noise cancellation customization and reaching out to our customer support team regarding the heated-up ear cups: https://bose.life/3nTDo5H

Hello, it is possible that the noise cancelling not working as it should is caused by the earcups not being securely attached or not using the best Noise Cancelling settings. You can find a guide for the best Noise Cancelling set up here https://bose.life/3ehBtmR.

    Good but not perfect

These is a very good headset, and sound is great. But: 1. These are too big. I do have small head as a petite person, aways have to look for XS helments for my sports, and ... with the minimized bend, this headset is still to big, it gets uncomfortable on some areas of my ears, and slides off often. If you have small head, or maybe buying for a kid, try them first before buying. 2. Not cancelling voices much. Street noise behind your closed windows - yes, it will block. Airplane engine - it will take off maybe half of that. Baby crying 15 rows away from you - not a chance. The crying sound will be weaker, yes, but you will hear it anyways. And you will hear people talking around. I would prefer to block the voices and keep the street sounds. 3. Finally, the charge. They do perform very long. Really, all good. Except you will not be able to use last 10%of charge, because no matter what, it will stop playing the media and start complaining about low charge. Like it will go off again and again, on top of what you are listening. So annoying, it feels like you car engine shuts when you still have 2 gallons. On the positive side, the sound is really good, not a single earbud can make it. I bought the beige color, and it takes me no effort to keep them clean, they look very beautiful. Sound quality and battery life is stable over 10 month I own them.

Bose Quiet Comfort 45 Wireless Headphones

The Bose – QuietComfort 45 Wireless Noise Cancelling over the Ear Headphones have a truly great sound both for music and telephone. From the moment I turned the headphones on and turned the noise cancelling on it got quiet. I will admit it does not block out all noises. I could hear my wife on her phone and the TV playing. Even adjusting the headset on my ears, I could still hear it until I left the room. I love the quality of material and the fact that they are light on my head. There was no discomfort after wearing for 2 hours. All the controls worked with just a slight touch of the button. There was no noticeable difference transitioning for music to phone and back. This is the sound you expect from Bose. Switching to the aware mode and it’s like you’re not even wearing the headset, you can hear everything around you. The app is ok, and functional. Would have liked to have seen a better thought-out Interface. Now the best part. If you are a gamer or watch a lot of videos on your PC. The Bose – Quite Comfort 45 will hook up to your PC with out the use of the app. In the app you can switch back and forth between the phone and PC. I would recommend the Bose – Quiet Comfort 45 Wireless Noise Cancelling over the Ear Headphones to family and friends.

      Hello Camilla,

It's very unusual that the microphone stopped working on your headphones. Have you tried unpairing the headphones and established a new connection to see if this is just a pairing corruption. In addition, it would be a good idea to try pairing to another device to see if the problem continues. Still having issues? Please get in touch with our support team at https://bose.life/3RMX5df.

Best in class for comfort & ANC; features missing

I’ve had previous iterations of these headphones as well as probably the main competitor (who will remain nameless), plus a few other less expensive brands. These Bose headphones are, at least in my experience, the most comfortable to wear for long periods of time and offer best in class noise cancelling (though I’m realizing more and more that even ANC can be in the eye (actually ear) of the beholder and one’s perception of the quality of ANC can change as one ages. Regardless, for these 50-ish year old ears, I love the Bose. Now on to the title of my review, in particular, ‘features missing.’ I hope this is not misleading because I’m actually touting that as something good (and, hence, the 5 star review). It seems Bose has simplified these headphones down so that there are not many options to choose from, such as customizing the level of ANC or EQ. Maybe for the younger user, these may be viewed as issues with the Bose headphones but, again, for someone of my age, I actually appreciate not having to (and not being able to) fiddle with multiple controls and settings in an endless endeavor to tweak the sound.

      Hello,
We're sorry to hear that you're unable to get connected to your TV. Some TVs only let you connect a Bluetooth device (i.e. a smartphone) to play through the TV speakers. Be sure the TV you are trying to connect is able to send the TV's sound to Bluetooth speakers and headphones.
