Lightweight and the noise reduction is so good all I can hear is the music. Making coffee or running the vacuum, I set it to 'quiet' and the background noise is gone. If I need to pay attention, the 'aware' setting lets me get a sense of what is happening around me without interfering with my listening. Charging was quick and the controls are well placed, a very nice head set. Paired up quickly and seamlessly with my phone, laptop, and TV. I am very happy with these.

I expected to be dissapointed when I got them as a gift. When I put them on and listened for the first time I was blown away. Best quality sound and extremely comfortable. These headphones are in a class of their own.

I was surprised at just how quiet these make it. I spend an hour wearing these during lunch and thought a a wind storm was inside the building when I took them off. I could still hear a hit of things around me and that is a good thing. Total silence is weird. The app allows you to switch it over to hear things around you very clearly. They stayed connected well too.

at first it seemed like they were losing battery quicker than my bose qc 35 ii headphones did, but honestly even if that is the case they still last a super long time. the design and feel make up for that as well :) amazing sound quality and noise cancelling

The Bose QuietComfort 45 Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones are a great set of headphones! I am a previous owner of the Bose QuietComfort 15 Wired headphones. I have enjoyed the 15's for many years and they still work great, but I am really excited to have the new 45's for the wireless feature and all the improvements made over the years. Following are the pros and cons I found in testing out these headphones. Pros: - I have to start with the sound quality. I have tested these headphones out with a variety of genres and types of music - loud and soft, female and male singers, acoustic, instrumental, and hard rock. Everything I played sounds incredible. I am very pleased with the sound quality. The bass response is great and they are very nicely balanced. Some noise cancelling headphones don't sound as good with active noise cancelling turned on, but I couldn't tell the difference in the sound whether the noise cancelling feature was turned on or not. They just sound great all around. - The next most important feature is the noise cancelling technology. This is another area where Bose really shines. The noise cancellation is incredible, as I expected it would be. Even better than my old QC15's. It is simple to use, as there is one button on the ear cup to switch between Quiet or Aware mode. I haven't flown since getting these, but I am confident they will block out all the unwanted airplane noise. I have tested them standing next to a loud furnace and a TV and people talking. With Quiet on, I couldn't hear any of it. You just hear the music. I also like the Aware feature. When in Aware mode, they are still very quiet and block out most noise, but you can at least hear if something is going on around you. If someone was talking to you or there are announcements on a plane, for example, you can hear enough to know you need to pause the music and listen. While I will mostly listen in Quiet mode, I can see where Aware will come in handy. - These headphones are also very comfortable. First, I don't know how they manage to make such a quality set of headphones so light. I've tried a lot of headphones, and the Bose QuietComfort 45's are the lightest I've ever tried. Plus they a have well-cushioned set of ear cups and headband. I have worn these headphones all day long for work, switching between video meetings and music and they remained comfortable all day long. While they are extremely light for over-the-ear headphones, they still appear and feel very well-made and durable. The design and the way they fold is fantastic. - They ae extremely easy and intuitive to use. You just download the Bose Music App and easily connect to Bluetooth, or you can connect directly to your phone with the simple push of a pairing button. There are 4 other buttons on the earcups. On one side you have a multifunction button that allows you to play/pause music or calls, skip forward or backwards tracks, raise and lower volumes, and access your device's voice assistant. The other earcup has a button used to switch between noise cancellation and aware mode, or mute calls. The location and feel of the buttons make them very easy to use. - Phone calls also sound great with these headphones. I have used them on several WebEx and Zoom meetings and the sound is very clear and the other participants can hear me clearly also. Again, the on-earcup buttons make it easy to answer, hang up, mute, change volume, answer a second call, combine calls, etc. - The Bose Music App is also a nice feature to use with these headphones. Besides providing an easy way to pair via Bluetooth, it provides useful product tips for all features of the headphones, allows you to use the app to switch between devices (sources), access many of the features that can also be done via the earcup buttons, shows the battery percentage, provides access to a number of settings and the ability to set some preferences, provides answers to common questions, and allows you to name the headphones. Overall it is a useful app. - Another great feature of these headphones is how compact the carrying case is that they fold into. I loved this feature on my older Bose headphones, but they have managed to make the case even more compact. The design of how the headphones fold up allow them to fold into a nice leather case that is only 8.25" x 5.5" x 2.25" in size. The case protects them well and has a pocket for cords too. The compact size makes them great for packing in carry-on luggage, carrying with you to work, sticking in a briefcase, etc. - The battery life on these headphones is stated to be 24 hours, which is incredible. I have not used them for that long at one time, but I have used them for two full work days before recharging and they still had over 30% battery life left. - Comes with a USB-C cord for charging and another nice feature is that they come with a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable to plug it into audio devices. It is nice they include this cable as it allows you to plug it into an airplane system or any other device. If you do happen to run out of battery, then you can still use them when plugged in with this cord. Cons: There is really not much I can come up with here, except I wish the 12" USB-C charging cable was a little longer. It is plenty long if you plug into your computer, but if you plug it into a charging block and then into a wall outlet, you have to put something under it as it is not long enough to reach the floor. Overall I am very excited about these headphones! They are going to serve me well for many years to come! I would definitely recommend them.

Keep it short and simple these headphones are amazing, the noise canceling is freaking insane. The main thing I dislike about these headphones would be the stock audio, it feels like the treble on the headphones is turned up to the highest it can possibly go and the bass just isnt where it should be. If your into the high treble and low bass than these are 100% the headphones for you. If youre like me and listen to a lot rap and hiphop, youre definitly going to need to EQ these headphones, I tried attaching a photo of my spotify EQ but it wont let me, what I did was go to the equalizer option in the settings and turn on lower treble than rasied the 60hz about a 1/4th above the middle line, and rasied the 150hz just a touch and finally lowerd the 400hz just by a touch.I think this dramtically increases the sound and performance of the headphones. The last gripe I have isnt about the headphones themselves but about the app, the app feels like its lacking behind the headphones. There is no built in EQ unlike the bose 700’s, there isnt a way to lower the noise cancelling its either turned on or on transparency mode again unlike the bose 700’s which give you rhe option of how powerful you want the noise Canceling to be, It feels like bose purposly did this to try and make you spend the extra $100 and upgrade to the 700’s but other than its very easy to navigate.

Good on fundamentals, but minor annoyances add up

Pros: - Good sound quality and noise cancellation - Comfortable fit Cons: - Only two modes: quiet (noise cancelling) and aware (amplifies outside sounds). There is no mode that has both noise-canceling and outside noise amplification disabled. - Always defaults to quiet mode when powering on. I would prefer if it could remember my last chosen mode. - Switching between quiet and aware mode can be slow and the button press to switch sometimes doesn't register. - Sound randomly cuts out for about half a second when simultaneously connected to more than one device (about once every 3 minutes in my estimation).

      Hello,

It's great to hear you enjoyed the fit of the headphones along with the sound quality and noise cancellation offered.

I'm sorry to hear you had issues with switching between modes, and that you've experienced audio drop outs when connected to multiple devices at the same time. That's not normal behaviour and shouldn't happen. I'd recommend checking the firmware is up to date via the Bose Music app, and try unpairing and re-pairing the headphones to your device.
