Amazing sound and quality like you'd expect from Bose. Removing one star because just like the QC35's, these have a hard time switching over from music to phone when I get a phone call. I have to manually change the audio device each time. Otherwise, they are comfy like the QC35's and I find them more comfortable to wear than my husband's Sony WH-1000XM4 pair.

BOSE QC45 - BLACK (Not Perfect, but very Good!)

I have very pleased with these headphones so far. They do an adequate job of noise canceling ambient sound (I usually use light music to mask out the 'world'). Particular's I would note are: 1) the USB charging cable is VERY short (12" US). It is also not USB-C compliant (which most higher end chargers now are). 2) The product color choices that I recall are: Black, White, Grey [which are almost never in stock because they are the optimum choice]; so white (?) nope...unless you like to clean them constantly or you just don't care how they appear. Black (mine) are traditional and standard appearance, however I find myself wiping them down to remove head and ear oils which all humans secrete. We just do. I don't like 'greasy' headphones, even if it my own 'grease.' There are other (typically higher priced) comparable NC_headphones in the market. These are in the 'mid-range' price wise. They do charge quickly but could be improved upon with a better, higher speed USB pathway. Other reviewers have commented that when in 'Quiet' mode, they have often heard more depth and underlying tracks in music; previously unknown via just normal speaker playback mode. I can attest to this. I am still enjoying a full 'wall of sound' and deeper depth of familiar songs when listening with this Bose headset. I own several other Bose products; and the brand and quality was a consideration for this purchase. The audible 'toggle' between active (noise-canceling mode) and no noise-canceling mode is delivered to the listener by a female robot-like voice that tells you (upon the push of the related headset button on the left earpiece) if you are in 'AWARE' or 'QUIET' selected mode. The volume (UP -or- DOWN controls are on the right side earpiece), and it takes a bit of practice to master if you have big man fingers (lol). As far as prolonged wearing and comfort; that was another reason I chose this model, as I can very comfortably wear them without removing them for any breaks, for up to 5 hours at a time (ad hoc). They are probably the most comfortable headphones I've had on in many years. The On/Off Bluetooth switch is smartly placed so as to not accidentally disconnect your wireless connection without truly meaning to do so. That switch is located on the upper outside Right earpiece. It is 'spring-loaded' and does not click in or off...it just shifts (manually). When wearing, if you receive a vox call, text message, email, or other notification, they are exceptional at letting the listener know of any outside notifications without spoiling the ambience or mood. In reading previous product reviews, when pairing to devices; many complained about Bose not providing any type of equalization tool. Well...perhaps Bose listened to those and when I very quickly paired the headphones to my Apple iPhone SE - 3rd Gen, I was pleasantly surprised to see and have EQ tools at my discretion and easy ability to change lows, mids, and high ranges to my liking for whatever type of playback I wanted (music, apps, audio books, etc.) Some have commented on the lack of FULL BASS with these headphones, but I am happy with that as well (via tweaking in the EQ sliding adjustment mode on my iPhone). I did also read somewhere that Bose designed these headphones specifically more for iPhones than Androids. To this I cannot confirm or deny, as I have not paired them with my older Android phone (yet). All-in-all; I would recommend them as a 'BUY' and yes, I would purchase them again. Make sure you register them with Bose for warranty coverage and any issues you may have as sometimes bad product just rolls off the line and you happen to get those. Bose has always been easy to work with and not blow me off with product maintenance and repairs, etc. These are NOT cheap headphones and do not subject them to water or liquid intrusion or you'll be wearing a padded set of ear-muffs. Mine were: BOSE QC45 - BLACK @ $348.74 (and top me that is actually quite an 'expensive' purchase). Enjoy them! I continue to do so daily.

Bought this as a gift for my girlfriend because she’s been wanting some headphones in general. Heard her talk about it once and decided to get them for her. She fell in love instantly, didn’t really understand how since they seemed like regular headphones but woah. Let me tell you! These headphones are really good quality from the way it looks to how it sounds. Amazing work and quality all around. Definitely will be buying myself somevery soon!

    Downgrade from QC 35 ii

I bought these to replace a pair of Bose QC 35 ii headphones, which I had owned since 2017 before recently losing them. I thought this would be an upgrade, but so far they are making me miss the quality of my QC 35 ii's, and I am considering returning them. Pros 1. Sound Quality - The sound quality and clarity is superb, as with most Bose products. They sound slightly more powerful than the previous model. 2. Comfort - They feel almost indistinguishable compared to the previous model, which is a good thing. These are probably the most comfortable ANC headphones you can buy in my opinion. I wore the QC 35 ii's often in excess of 8+ hours per day, and usually forgot that I even had them on. These feel every bit as good so far. 3. ANC - The active noise cancellation seems to be slightly better than the previous model, but unfortunately you can't adjust the ANC level like you could on the previous model. Overall it does a really great job at cancelling out nuisance sounds and making you feel like you're in your own world when you have them on. Cons 1. Connectivity Issues - This is by far the biggest issue for me. The sound keeps randomly cutting out for a few seconds, and this seems to happen for almost every couple minutes. This is happening on all of my devices with or without the Bose Music App installed. I've been a Bose fan for years and absolutely loved the previous model, but this seems to be a huge big step back. I don't seem to be alone in this either, as I have seen reports of other people experiencing the same issue. This is really a shame for the price point of these headphones, and this was never an issue for me with the QC 35 ii's. 2. Build Quality - Materials... Although these feel slightly lighter than the 35 ii's, overall they feel like a much more cheaply made product. The padding on the headband is now a pleather/leather material compared to the Alcantara material used on the previous model. Although this doesn't negatively impact comfort, it does make the headphones feel less premium. Also, the outer shell of the ear cups are now plastic compared to metal on the 35 ii's. The buttons... The ANC mode button doesn't register my clicks every time. This is extremely annoying, and was never an issue on the 35 ii's. Also, the pause/volume buttons don't have consistent click feedback. For example, I can easily tell when I press the volume down or pause button, but when I click the volume up button, it feels like the button is stuck, which throws you off since it feels totally different. This by it self isn't a deal breaker, and I do realize this might just be a quality issue with the particular headphones I received, but it adds to the overall feeling of an inferior product. The QC 35 ii's felt like they were premium and indestructible, where as the QC 45's feel more like a cheaper pair of headphones that probably won't last as long. In Conclusion If you're thinking about buying these, I would seriously consider buying the QC 35 ii's, as the major drawbacks of this new model outweigh the hardly noticeable improvements of the QC 45's.

      Hey there,
I'm glad to hear that you have so many Pros for our new QC45 headphones!
I'm sorry that you seem to have had a few issues with them since you purchased. In regards to the build materials, the QC35 II's also have a plastic outer shell, the same as those that can be found on the QC45's.
To help get the connectivity issues resolved, I have included some great troubleshooting steps here: https://bose.life/3oXBgLy, which will help create a more stable Bluetooth connection.
      Thanks!

Good quality, sturdy, comfortable, easy to use. No issues with the noise cancelling. Sony has better noise-cancelling and better sound, but they had lots of problems. Sturdier than Skull Candy.

I’m the kind of person who needs total silence to function, whether I’m at work or at the gym. These Bose headphones have genuinely been a lifesaver. They’re comfortable, block out noise beautifully, and the battery lasts for a long time. I couldn’t be happier with them!
