Originally I got these to listen to music on the go and at the gym, but these have become my main everyday headphones while at my desk or on the go!

It is very nice headphone, and I love it. One thing is that I had to update bluetooth driver for my laptop, but other than that it works great.

    My New Favorite Headphones!

I love a good pair of headphones, so I was super excited to get the Bose QuietComfort 45. My spouse asked me when does a person have enough headphones… I mean, airpods II, Powerbeats pro, Addidas RPT -01, Beats Studio, Rocat gaming headphones ect… my answer… NEVER! They all have their own niche and job in my world and I use them all! But… the Bose 45’s are my new crown jewel!!! Just AMAZING! First off, when I got the box, I thought there might be a mistake in the order. The box seemed too small for a full size flag ship over the ear headphone to fit into such a small box. I opened the box and I saw the super sleek and stylish case. The case is quality all the way around. The case is rectangular which is the perfect shape that fits into a backpack, luggage, travel bag or desk drawer nicely (unlike the egg case of others…I’m looking at you Beats). Functionality is very important to me as the 45’s will be my new go to for work and travel, so it needs to be functional and look sleek and professional and Bose nailed it. I unzipped the case and I actually said, “wow”. I got the black set and they look so sleek and sexy in the case…a perfect fit with an extra foam piece that supports them as they lay inside and keeps them from moving around. The silver “Bose” logo on the cups are classy and understated but there is no mistaking that these are a pair of Bose. I was also impressed with how lightweight they are as I put them on. These are the most comfortable over the ear headphones I have ever worn hands down. They sit securely and snug but don’t feel tight. I really didn’t feel any pressure anywhere but also did not feel like they would fall off. The material on the cups and headband are premium, super soft and very very comfortable. I downloaded the app and began to sync the headphones to my iPhone but the headphones were dead! Not to worry. I googled how long it takes to charge the 45’s and read that a 15 minute charge gives me 3 hours! That’s really an awesome feature. Rapid USB C charging is awesome and I’m glad they went that way with these. After 10 minutes I had plenty of juice to get me going. The headphones synced quickly and I played around with the app. The app is really strait forward and basic…clean. There is no EQ settings which I’m not entirely sure how I fell about that. I have other headphones that allow for that but I never mess with it. When it comes down to it. I reach for the headphones and put them on and go! I’m there for what the head phones bring me…music, podcasts movies. I’m not there to piddle with the headphones internal sound profiles. Anyway, the things the app gives you is some “tips” that tell you about the buttons, it lets you toggle the “aware” mode and noise cancelling ect. All the things you can do with the app you can also do on the headphones them selves without the app. And the more time I spend with these amazing headphones the more I actually like that the functions are onboard with the headphones and not tied to the app only. The buttons are tactile, I can feel when I am on the center button that summons siri and the volume up and down. The buttons are super fast and responsive. I also like that I can pair it to my phone and laptop simultaneously!! Now I picked my first song to listen to… I am embarrassed to say… Taylor Swift – Cardigan (I just discovered this song) I have listened to this on all my headphones and Bose Quietcomfort 45’s blew me away. So balanced with the highs and midtones and the lowes. I heard backing tracks in the song that I didn’t notice before… Then something dawned on me…I am only hearing the music…nothing else ( I am in a busy office environment). It was like being in the studio with Swift. I mean it really was peaceful. Just me and the music and nothing else. I have listened to other noise cancelling (and I am not an audiophile to be sure) but I do know my way around headphones and I know what I was experiencing. Bose really has the noise cancelling locked in and it is world class. I took the phones off and on a few times and was truly amazed how silence descended on me and I was transported to the music. Just Wonderful. I wanted to push the bass a bit and went with Polo G’s Rapstar and Nipsey’s Racks in the Middle and while the mids and highs were phenomenal the bass wasn’t quite where I like it for rap and hip hop. That is personal preference to be sure and the noise canceling outweighs the lighter base in my opinion. After being mesmerized by the noise canceling, I toggled in the “aware” mode and it toggled quickly and effectively between the two modes. The aware mode is really nice because the silence can be disorienting a little in certain contexts like walking near a busy roadway. I want to hear the cars! I wanted to find the noisiest place at work to try the noise canceling limits and we have a full size gym with treadmills, tvs and weights clanking. I went at the most busy time and it sounds like a circus. I got on a treadmill and started walking. It was surreal to hear the noise disappear as I put the headphones on. No tv’s, no treadmill motor… I then listened to the quietest thing I listen to which is a science podcast and it was truly amazing and really enjoyable. I could hear the conversation so warm and clear it really added to the enjoyment tremendously. Podcasts are amazing on here!!! This brings me to a feature that is lacking (and maybe not practical ) but it is not sweat or water/splash proof! I have a pair of high-end headphones that are IPX4 which I will have to continue to use for heavy runs outside or stick with powerbeat pros. But like I said earlier…I have different headphones for different jobs. So that’s ok. I wish these did have some protection for sweat though. But the 45’s are more of a lifestyle type job for me. I plan to use them while I work on multimedia and isolation at work, or when I just want to escape and chill out. I also was very impressed with the phone call capability! You won’t miss a beat when someone calls you! Bravo Bose! I really love the 45’s! You can’t go wrong with these world class headphones! I highly recommend.

Just bought these headphones after wanting them for a while. They are as advertised though noise cancelling not 100%. The packaging also gives a bit more room to cram extra cables while traveling. Would recommend
