Best in price for unparalleled quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pair has impeccable sound quality for its price. I haven't felt many pairs that just melt over my head this smoothly in years. It's also able to pair to two devices so I can swap between audio on my phone to my pc seemlessly and without any input from me, it just plays on its own when audio plays on the source I want to hear it from. Anothet great thing is that it has pretty low latency so it's great for gaming. In fact it has lower latency than most gaming bluetooth headsets which I found impressive. Having a custom in-app equalizer is invaluable and has made my experience so much better. The battery life is incredible too, able to listen and game all day and still not running out of charge. These fit somewhat snugly too, and they don't fall out with normal movement. My own nitpick is the ear pads aren't great and can be a bit uncomfortable if you have larger ears, so it's recommended to replace them with 3rd party ear cups. Overall a fantastic experience.

Excellent Headphones!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had these headphones for about a year and still love them! Great audio quality, I've tried Airpods and Beats but Bose is unmatched. The noise cancelling is great for what I need it. Planning to try them on a plane soon but I don't expect them to be fully noise cancelling. They drown out office and regular home noises. They hold a great charge, they also charge very quick. I love that I can have bluetooth connected to my work computer and my phone at the same time, and it switches seamlessly between music on my phone and a call on my laptop. I've also had experience with other headphone pads peeling but these have zero sign of any wear and tear after almost daily use.

Excellent Quality Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love these headphones. The price made me hesitate at first but it was well worth it. I work in a fairly busy office and there are sometimes noisy children there, so I mostly purchased them for the noise cancelling. It works so well that I can actually focus on my work even when there's a lot of activity going on around me. The fact that I can pair two devices to it at a time (for example, two phones) and play music from one while still keeping the ability to answer phone calls with the other is a mega plus. They are also extremely comfortable. The only real downside is that you can't charge them and use them at the same time. Luckily, the battery last me for several days so that's not much of an issue. Style-wise they are a little bulky, but you get that part with over-the-noggin headphones anyway. Overall, I am very pleased with these headphones!

A very balanced headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Excellent noise cancellation Comfortable fit Long battery life Compact and lightweight Easy to use Cons: Sound quality is not bass heavy No support for aptX or other high-quality codecs No touch controls Overall, I would give the Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones 4 out of 5 stars. They are excellent noise cancelling headphones that are comfortable to wear and decent battery life. However, the sound quality is focussed on vocals and not bass heavy - which I personally like but its very subjective. I bought my headphones open box from Best Buy for a significant discount. The headphones were in perfect condition and I have had no problems with them. I would definitely recommend buying open box headphones if you are looking for a good deal. Here are some additional thoughts on the Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones: The noise cancellation is the best feature of these headphones. It is very effective at blocking out ambient noise, making them ideal for use in noisy environments, such as on airplanes or in busy streets. The fit of the headphones is also very good. They are not too tight or too loose, and they do not put too much pressure on my ears. I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. The call quality is excellent (I returned Sony XM5 as they have echo problem) The headphones are compact and lightweight, making them easy to transport. I can easily put them in my backpack or carry-on bag when I travel. The headphones are easy to use. The controls are located on the ear cups and are easy to find and use.

Comfortable, with exceptional noise cancellation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: Overall, the Bose QC 45 is solid pair of noise-cancelling headphones that will make most buyers very happy for years. It does ANC supremely well, but I think it falls short in other categories compared to similarly priced headphones. Initial impression. Wow the case is small. I am pretty impressed that Bose managed to fit full size Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) headphones in such a small case, enabled by nicely designed folding hinges. The headphones feel very comfortable. I definitely notice that they look smaller on my head then other high end headphones. Features. The ANC is certainly the best feature of these headphones. There is also an app that works well to establish and manage connections, but it really doesn’t do much more. The headphone has a dedicated button to activate the “aware” feature so that you can hear your surroundings. You can also connect to two devices simultaneously, and choose which one to listen to. These headphones manage all your Bluetooth devices nicely, with the slide button able to cycle through your Bluetooth devices until you hear the correct one. The guide provides a good explanation on how this feature works. Unfortunately, I have to say that I was very disappointed about the lack of features. I expected to find an equalizer in the app, but there was none. These headphones do not pause music automatically when you remove them. It seems like this has become a standard feature on listening devices. There is no option for automatically activating awareness when speaking, or to program behavior for sound and awareness based on location. I think that headphones at this price point should leverage technology to improve use experience. Don’t get me wrong, these headphones are fantastic, but they will not be my “go-to” headphones because I have been spoiled by the features from another brand of headphones. Buttons. The prominent button on the right side turns the headphones on and off. I like this button. It’s simple and unambiguous. There are three more buttons on the right side, which control volume, play/stop, and skip. They also answer calls and activate the voice assistant. I dislike these buttons very much. It takes me a second to find them, and then I need to feel for which one I want to press, and then I am still trying to figure out if I actually pressed it because there is almost no tactile feedback. Muscle memory and leading with the thumb to find the buttons will make reaching for the buttons easier over time, but the buttons should really be better differentiated to quickly feel which one to use. The left side of the headphones has one button that activates the awareness feature so that you can hear your surroundings. I have the same comment on this button; not so easy to find, and not enough tactile feedback. Once you press it, the aware feature does come on really fast and works well. Comfort. I wore these for a good 12 hours in one day while on a long business trip. They are by far the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I even slept with them on the plane for several hours. The pressure on the ears is adequate to maximize noise isolation, while still providing optimal comfort. Sound. These headphones provide crisp and clear sounds, with exceptional highs and mids. However, I felt that the lows were lacking. I listened to several music genres with both the Bose headphones and with my other headphones in the same price range, and I easily noticed the difference in the bass, and I preferred the music from the other headphones because of the better lows. To compensate for the lack of lows, I now change the iPhone equalizer to “bass booster” when using the Bose headphones. While the noise cancellation feature on these is outstanding, I think the ANC performance is comparable to my other headphones, with the other pair performing better in some cases, perhaps because they fit tighter on my ears. Battery life. These headphones advertise 24 hours of continuous play. I haven’t tested that, but I can say that I used them for 12 nearly-consecutive hours and battery life didn’t cross below 50%. I am really impressed with how long these headphones can go. Things I like: - Noise cancellation is outstanding - These are the most comfortable headphones I own - Battery life is exceptional - The awareness feature activates very quickly when the button is pushed - Easy to use with streamlined buttons and operation, no extra features to complicate usage - They fold into the smallest storage case I have seen for full-size ANC headphones - Easy to toggle between Bluetooth devices - Easy activation of voice assistants (like Siri) Things I don’t like: - When folded, some plastic parts of the headphones touch other plastic parts. Overtime, this will cause scratching. The headphones came with some padding to separate the plastic parts. Am I supposed to keep using this loose padding? Why not integrate the padding in the case like a mold? - Besides the “on” button, the buttons are not great for me… they are hard to find, they are hard to differentiate quickly, and they provide no tactile feedback so I don’t know if am pressing them or not - I think the sound of these headphones lack lows - The lack of technology features was very disappointing for me because it’s a missed opportunity to leverage available technology to improve the user experience, maximize convenience, and turn a headset into a smart accessory. Maybe the beauty of these headphones is their simplicity, and shedding all the fluff… This will no-doubt be ideal for some, but for me, a pair of headphones isn’t just a pair of headphones anymore; it’s a smart interface for the world around us. - I am not impressed with the voice chosen for prompts (turning on/off, and aware/ANC). It sounds like a robot, not at all natural, and of low-quality audio. Although, I did notice that it is able to read fairly accurately, i.e. my name and Bluetooth devices. Overall, this is a solid pair of ANC headphones. I think they make for ideal travel headphones because they fold into a small case, they are light, battery life is exceptional, ANC performs very well to drown out travel noise, and they are comfortable enough to wear continuously for 12+ hours. Nevertheless, these lack some things that are important to me, so my go-to pair of headphones for 90% of my usage will remain another pair. I would give these 4.25 stars.

Posted .Hello! Thanks for leaving your thoughts on the new QC45 headphones. I am so glad that you like so many aspects of the new design, such as the lightweight feel and the easy activation of the voice assistants. Did you know that in the design, glass-filled nylon reinforces the headband to protect against falls and maintain its shape and the custom cast metal in each pivot point is built with a cast-metal hinge, so they’ll stay strong and durable?
At Bose, we love to hear our customers feedback, so we can look to improve our products in the future. Thank you for giving such detailed feedback. I will be sure to pass it onto the development team. In the meantime, we have some great steps here https://bose.life/2ZIF35l to increase the bass on the headphones.
Do reach out to us if you would like to discuss anything further, we would love to hear from you.

Bose QC45 is perfect for me - YMMV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here is why I love my QC45’s: Outstanding noise isolation, excellent balanced sound rendering, simple push button controls, great comfort, excellent design and storage within the included case. You can compare them to the Sony or others, and find limits already mentioned by others (no equalizer, not as much bass punch are most common comments). I tried both. I chose Bose. I am partially deaf. My right ear has profound hearing loss mid to high frequency. I use a hearing aid in my left ear. These headphones fit over my aid with no problem, no feedback. The balanced sound is great for me. I get plenty of bass…too much overwhelms my hearing. I also get excellent kids and highs, where I am weak. Now my wife also tried these with her perfect hearing. She loves the sound so it’s not just for hearing impaired folks! I also love using the headset controls. Well positioned, easy to reach and manage. Just the options needed. No tactile controls (which I always tend to accidentally touch too often). Everyone should try out all options at Best Buy and make your decision. All ears are not equal. I love my Bose!

Excellent audio and great for big ears
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I specifically bought these for long flights since I can't wear my earbuds for more than 45 minutes and I have a big head and ears. These QC 45's are very comfortable over my ears for extended listening periods. I recently traveled on a 4 hour flight and easily wore these for 3+ hours. I only took them off to nap. The noise cancelling feature reduces a significant amount of external noise from the plane and inside the cabin. The audio quality is befitting a Bose product. I have tinnitus and these helped to offset the ringing in my ears so I could enjoy listening to music, movies, etc. I have also been able to alternate between my phone and laptop without any issues. Definitely worth the price, especially if they are on sale.

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these headphones. I listen to a wide range of music, but the deciding factor for me is how well headphones do with heavy instrumentals. It picks up even the faintest underlying layers that really makes listening to music (or even audio books!) an experience. Also as someone who gets sensory overload, one thing that helps is covering my ears, so the quiet mode is perfect, even if I don't have music on. Even the aware mode makes a difference. I also switch between devices if I'm at work, and it's really easy to switch with these headphones, in that you don't have to disconnect and reconnect (my other Bluetooth does). The battery life is great, and they're comfortable to wear for a long period of time. For the price, it's worth the splurge.

Good quality and comfort
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent quality sound, excellent noise cancellation, battery life adequate. Comfortable to wear. I just wish they would go louder, that is the only dark spot for me and the reason I took away a star. It's plenty load for most, but I work in loud environments and I don't have as sensitive hearing as most any longer.

Bose edged out the "others" in clarity...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the QC35 headphones and it was time to upgrade. I tried the QC45, Sennheiser Momentum 4, Apple AirPods Pro and the Sony latest 5 over-the-head and across those 4, the Bose did the best job of checking the box for comfort, sound quality and portability. The Sony and Sennheisers had noticeably better bass, but even using the apps to adjust the sound, the Bose had better clarity. My wife even heard the difference and she's not an audiophile by any stretch. I fly a lot and the portable case, the lightweight form factor, the comfort over long period (I flew with the AirPods Max for 1 HR and my ears were definitely in discomfort), the Bose were just a clear winner if clarity and sound quality is your priority over volume and bass. Several of the apps for the other headphones had better/more features as well, but sound was the main factor in me staying with the QC45.

Exceptional
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who had never own noise canceling headphones before. Wow. These really surpassed my expectations. Battery life is amazing, sound quality leaves very little to be desired, comfort is supreme. I can wear these for hours on end! Connection is with ease. Although some users may be put off by the additional need to download an app, I find it just a part of technology now. Upon connection you will immediately be immersed in silence followed by a feminine "animal crossing" voice confirming the devices you have connected. I brought these on my last flight and thankfully did not have to endure the maximum punishment of an upset baby for 5 hours to and from. User caution: The noise canceling works so well that I have inadvertently annoyed my husband. I can barely hear him even if he is talking right besides me. You can toggle between quiet and aware to avoid these potential issues. Great job Bose!

Best in class noise cancelling headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these to use with an apple tv so I could sleep while fiance continues to watch TV in the other room silently. I'm short, pairs quickly with a solid Bluetooth connection. Sound quality is as good as you can get over Bluetooth. Wide sound stage, deep, clean bass. Excellent clarity. Noise cancelling is best in class. I usually use the quiet comfort earbuds 2, active noise cancelling true wireless, since they are more compact and the case fits in your pocket, but if I didn't care about messing up my hair and I was going to use them for a long flight or more than an hour or two, I'd much prefer these for the comfort alone. Highly recommended.

Love My Headphones!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never experienced comfortable over the ear headphones. These are so nice, the noise cancelling is intense, like your ears are in a vacuum. The only thing I was hoping for more of was that there would be some back ground noise cancelling through the mic. If you are in a meeting and music is playing or chatting is happening in the background the mic will pick it up. Also if you are not use to the noise cancelling the first couple times of using them might be awkward when using because you can't really hear yourself talking when in a meeting (not a bad thing) just a heads up. These headphones easily connect to more than one device so you never have to disconnect your devices and reconnect.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best over the head headphones I’ve owned. The clarity is unmatched. The noise cancellation is superb. You really can tell a difference between the aware and unaware option. The battery life can last for days on a single charge while using all day. I can connect to more than one device at a time and go between them without any problems. If you’re debating between 2 headphones, choose these. You won’t be disappointed.

The best Bose over ear headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Bose headphones are really wonderful in every way. I love the choice of color, the sound is amazing and crisp, as Bose added an equalizer to the app to personalize your sound. No touch controls is a plus for me (Yay), as I prefer a simpler button layout. They are extremely light and can be worn for long periods of time without fatigue. The battery life and standby time has been very good. These headphones can be connected to up to eight devices. Through the Bose music app you are able to fully customize your listening experience. To top off these perfect headphones, they come with a nice case which could easily fit in a bag for travel. 5 stars from an audiophile!

Great with some caveats
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are my first ever ANC headphones and I'm blown away how well these work at isolating noise. I work in a building with a loud HVAC and machinery and it silences nearly all of that. As long as the sound is constant, the ANC works perfectly, whereas sudden loud noises its ineffective. Out of the box, the bass is way too strong. I had to turn down the bass in any device I use this in just get it to "normal" levels. I read complaints about the low volume levels but I've not had any issues. At max volume they are louder or as loud as any of my other wired headphones. My only issues are with the comically short (6 inch) charge cable. This is pretty much useless if you have a cluttered desk. I have a 6 foot USB-C cable but the headphones do not work while they are charging. Even with the wired audio cable plugged in, the headphones can't be used while charging. Also I don't know if this is intended or a bug, but the headphones will not charge above 90 percent no matter how long I charge them. I use them 8 hours a day and they are very comfortable but can get warm. Get them on a sale if possible as full price for these are bit much.
