Block out the Noise and Feel the Music

I am transitioning from over-the-ear headphones to earbuds. Of all the ones that I have tried, I feel these earbuds are the best. The fit is perfect for my ears. I can wear them comfortable for several hours. The noise canceling is top notch. Use them on the plane and was able to enjoy the music with little background noise. The sound is well balanced. I like bass and through the app, I was able to enhance the bass to my liking. I have not really played around with the other features so, I cannot comment on them. I have taken a few calls and those on the other end can hear me clearly. I use these at the gym, so they are good for working out. I do make sure that I clear them after each use, hoping to prolong their life. The battery life is great as well. These are a bit pricey, but if you can afford, I definitely recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

I have had these for about 2 months. As others have said there are some connection issues but it seemed to have work itself out or i just don't notice. I cant think of any other negative quality about these headphones. I mow about 20 yards and my 4 acre property and these are in my ears the entire time. That means 1. They stay in well. 2. They are comfortable 3. The sound quality is great and 4. They actively drown out sound amazingly. The technology in them to be able to drown out noise is amazing. I can barely hear my mower. So far they are very durable and since they are in my truck a lot they are in high heat often. The battery is great too. I chose these over the over the ear style because I can wear a hat easily, they look nicer and I had some over the ear style and they got water damaged once and sun damaged another time. I am hard on things and these have held up.

Pros Sound Quality 10/10 ANC 10/10 Fitting/Comfort 10/10 Cons Bluetooth Connectivity 5/10, slow to connect and at times does not connect with Apple devices, Windows PC Desktop, and Laptop. I have to reset or pair the device to connect. With Airpod Pro and Airpod Pro 2nd Gen, got no issue connecting with Windows base devices and of course Apple devices. Recommendation: Bose QC II earbuds and Airpod Pro 2nd Gen are at the same level. Depends on your preference but for me, I decided to have them both use it alternately so as not to develop tolerance on both devices.

I would have to say bose make some of the best noise canceling earbuds. The setup was easy and flawless. The sound quality is some of the best i have heard from recent earbuds. Bose keeps stepping up their game each time when they come out with new buds. The battery life is great the comfort factor is top notch. Other buds would fall out constantly having to adjust them to stay in. I haven't had to adjust these once so they would stay in. No ear soreness from long use. Call quality is great any calls i take using them everyone can hear me clearly and vice versa. I would highly recommend these to anyone wanting to get a bang for their buck purchase. Thank you bose for another great product. And thank you best buy for fast shipment. Your my goto for great electronics, service, and all around great experience.

After owning over a year, sound quality has been exceptional with ANC being a major upgrade from previous headphones owned and top notch in the industry. Connectivity has been the main issue having to remove from bluetooth devices, hard reset, then reconnect for audio to come through. Sound is crisp and clear but sometimes does not reach the level of volume desired. I enjoy these headphones very much but would not recommend due to the clumsy app required and i should not have to fight connection at times for the premium price paid.

I recently purchased the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, and I have to say, I am absolutely blown away by their performance. As an avid music lover and a frequent traveler, I was seeking the perfect blend of top-notch audio quality and noise-canceling capabilities. These earbuds have not disappointed, and I can't help but share my excitement. Sound Quality (5/5): The audio quality of these earbuds is nothing short of exceptional. The sound is rich, well-balanced, and truly immersive. Whether I'm listening to my favorite music, enjoying podcasts, or making calls, the clarity and depth of the audio are truly impressive. The bass is deep, mids are clear, and highs are crisp. Bose has truly mastered the art of audio reproduction. Noise Cancellation (5/5): What sets the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II apart from the competition is their industry-leading noise cancellation. Whether I'm on a noisy plane, in a bustling coffee shop, or just trying to find some peace and quiet at home, these earbuds excel in blocking out external noise. It's like stepping into a soundproof room, and it makes a world of difference in my daily life. Comfort and Fit (5/5): Bose has paid attention to every detail, and it shows in the design and comfort of these earbuds. I've worn them for extended periods without any discomfort, and they stay securely in place even during physical activities. Battery Life (5/5): The battery life is impressive as well. With noise cancellation on, I can easily get up to 6 hours of playback, and the charging case provides additional juice for a total of 18 hours. Even on long flights, these earbuds keep the music going without any worries. App and Customization (5/5): The Bose Music app is user-friendly and allows for easy customization of the earbuds' settings, including adjusting the noise cancellation level, setting up touch controls, and checking battery status. It's a handy addition that enhances the overall experience. Build Quality and Design (5/5): The earbuds have a premium feel to them, and the case is not only stylish but also sturdy. They feel like they're built to last. The touch-sensitive controls are intuitive and responsive. In conclusion, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are a prime example of Bose's dedication to delivering top-tier audio and noise-canceling performance. They have become an integral part of my daily routine, whether I'm working, commuting, or just relaxing. While the price tag may be on the higher side, the quality and experience they provide are worth every penny. If you're in the market for true wireless noise-canceling earbuds, I wholeheartedly recommend the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II. They've set a new standard in their category, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Purchased these after breaking my case on the 1st gen Bose QC earbuds. Thinking these would be an improvement and boy was i wrong. Sound, fit and ANC were great. Call quality, connecting and durability sucks. I stuck with them because of the multiple connection features after installing the latest firmware update was installed thinking the connectivity issues would be resolved but unfortunately it didn't. The final straw was when the right earbud volume would not broadcast higher than 10%. Bose totally dropped the ball on the 2nd gen QC earbuds.

They sound great, they feel comfortable, and the battery last. The rubber ear fittings seem to move when putting them in and taking them out. Not a big issue just more of an inconvenience. They sometimes have issues connecting after removing them from the case. Just have to put them back in the case and take them back out.

The Worst Pair of Flagship Earbuds on the Market

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These earbuds are quite possibly the worst set of earbuds I've ever owned. The sound quality and battery life are exceptional, not to mention the ANC which is really good (for the most part), but that's IT. This review is going to be a bit of a rant, so bear with me. Reliability and upkeep for these earbuds is utter garbage. I've owned these earbuds for about 2 years at the time of this review, and I've used them just about every day-- so keep that in mind. However, that being said, it's still insane how many issues I've had over the span of using this product that should NOT have happened given the $400 I paid for these earbuds when they first launched. 1. The "normal" earbud tips that come installed on the earbuds (and are best suited for my ears) cracked at the point where they connect to the earbud after a year of use. I didn't play around with the earbud tips at all, since the normal ones felt fine, however they still somehow cracked after a year of use. I'm not forceful in putting the earbuds in my ears, nor was I twisting them in such a way where it could crack. For $400, this should not be a problem with the earbuds, since the connection points themselves should be higher quality. This is more minor, as the "large" earbud tips are still fine, but not as good for my fit. 2. These earbuds constantly have connection issues. When they first launched, it was atrocious. I had to constantly reset the earbuds to get them to connect to my laptop or phone, since they'd connect up for calls but not regular audio. This has since been fixed for the most part, however the connection issues still happen. Let me put this into perspective for you: for the entire 2 YEARS this Bose product has been out to market, they've only released 2 UPDATES for this product addressing these concerns. They have since stopped updating it (to my knowledge) and some of the connection issues still remain. Heck, even on the newer products, they're still struggling, but that's besides the point. ANYWAYS, for $400, this should not be an issue on a flagship set of earbuds. 3. The build quality on these earbuds is sub-par on a good day. The left earbud (which has been used FAR less than my right earbud), is still like-new, with the only part falling off being the little mesh filter that keeps the earwax/debris out of the speaker canal itself when I tried to clean the earbuds. The right earbud, after JUST 2 years of use, is basically completely destroyed. If you look at the attached picture, you'll see that somehow, someway, the speaker part of the earbud and the backplate with the touch controls separated, because the adhesive itself didn't hold. Again, I have not abused these earbuds, I'm quite gentle with using them, but they somehow still managed to break over the span of 2 years. I don't think I need to speak any further on this issue, the picture says it all, but again. $400, this shouldn't be an issue. Moving on. 4. Maintaining these earbuds is a pain in the you-know-what. Once earwax gets into the mesh filter of the earbuds, there's basically no way to get it out. Bose Support recommends you clean it with a "dry cotton swab" to try and push the debris out of the mesh, but this is effectively the same as trying to put out a forest fire by blowing on it. You'll either push the debris further into the speaker canal, or it'll do nothing. Try to clean it with alcohol? Nope, the mesh itself will fall off. The Bose engineers really need to re-evaluate how this could potentially make their product harder to maintain. $400 dollars... yeah you get the point moving on. 5. Possibly the most annoying thing, because of point 4, the ANC on the right earbud doesn't work as it should. The earwax built up in the mesh affects the ANC performance to the point where the right earbud has substantially worse ANC than the left. The left sounds as it should-- cancelling out ambient noise with ease and making it very quiet. The right? I can hear people clearly, and the outside relatively clearly, despite it sounding somewhat muffled. Unacceptable for $400. In conclusion, I'll be real. I understand these earbuds are NOWHERE NEAR $400 currently. But, even with that being said, and disregarding my point about the price I paid, I believe that these earbuds are some of the worst pieces of tech on the market right now. You're better off saving up for the Sony WF-1000XM5s, or just going for a cheaper pair of ANC earbuds. I will not be buying Bose again for headphones or earbuds.

Thank you very much for your review of the QuietComfort Earbuds II!

I'm happy to hear that you've been enjoying the sound quality, battery life and ANC (most of the time) of your earbuds. I am sorry though to hear that the earbud tips cracked along the way. This is rare, but in cases of damage to the eartips, replacement sizes can be ordered and fitted for you.

I can also appreciate that the connection issues to your laptop and phone must be annoying. If you contact your local Bose support team and discuss this issue with them, the team will be able to pinpoint the issue by determining what is causing the poor connection. For instance, carrying a phone in your back pocket can cause unwanted body-block interference, so moving the phone to a side pocket can clear the issue up.

As for the right earbud becoming destroyed after 2 years, this is very surprising to see, as this should not happen as part of normal everyday use. In rare cases when it does happen, I would again advise contacting our support team for servicing of your earbuds. The same applies if wax has caused a buildup that may be affecting the performance of the noise cancellation in one ear.

Our customer support team can be contacted via the following link, if you still require further assistance: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US

Replacing my AirPods Pro and gave these a try. The music quality is better. More bass. The noise cancellation is better. The fit it better. I had a problem with AirPods not staying in place. While running or biking I would constantly need to push them back in place. I even tried aftermarket foam tips and tried all sizes. Bose quiet comfort ii solved that. They stay firmly in place. The aware mode will is ok if sitting still - it is a mode that lets sound in front of you through but tries to filter area noise. Best if talking to someone that you are facing. Transparency mode is ok but not quite as good as apple in that you can tell that the sound is slightly different than when you pull the headphone out. I have had phone calls with people while walking my dog in the quiet neighborhood and get feedback that it is kind of noisy. I need to do a bit more research on what was causing the noise. Sounded good on my end for phone call. Both AirPods and quiet comfort have not addressed wind very well. E.g. riding a bike or hiking up a windy trail will get the white noise and popping coming through. Bose is better than AirPods in cancelling wind noise. For me, I would recommend the Bose over AirPods due to fit quality, sound quality ( I listen to a lot of music and pod casts while exercising) and noise cancellation. Room for improvement in dealing with wind. Maybe some improvements on how the microphone picks up area noises during calls.

These are by far the best noise cancelling earbuds with the highest quality sound money can buy. They are much smaller and WAY more normal looking than the original quietcomforts. The noise cancelling is twice as good as the original's too. I mainly use them at work around extremely loud industrial machines, and they block out almost 70-80% of that. On top of that, I am able to listen to music and podcasts at work with only 4 notches of volume, so im not damaging my hearing. They also sit securely in the ear. The carrying case is also nice and sleek, so it easily fits in pockets now. There are some things I wish were better. Sometimes the earbuds will randomly disconnect or cause a double audio for no reason. It could be interference from the metal tanks at my work, but this happens with podcasts every once in a while. On top of that, you need to physically choose the earbuds when answering a call on iPhone, but I think that's an apple thing. The biggest drawback is the comfortability all earbuds can be uncomfortable with prolonged use, but I feel like my ears really had to adjust to these ones. For the first week or so they made my ears a little sore after 2hrs of use, but now they only hurt after 3-4 hours.

Bose to me has always been synonymous with the top end of audio, running side by side, or even ahead of the competition. These earbuds absolutely blew me away. I put them in one at a time and it was like being submersed in a sensory deprivation tank - no outside noise AT ALL. The earbuds sensed that they were inserted and made a noise indicating they were "alive" upon insertion. I couldn't hear the fan, I couldn't hear anyone talking right outside my office, I couldn't hear the FM radio playing behind me - all noise was gone. No hint of white noise to cover it was heard either. I installed the Bose Music app on my phone which gives EQ control plus sent an update to the earbuds. NOTE - THE APP MUST BE KEPT OPEN AND IN FOCUS WHILE THE UPDATE IS RUNNING, OTHERWISE IT WILL FAIL AND HAVE TO START AGAIN. The sound quality absolutely blew me away - WOW - nothing I've heard compares to this! I'm seeing roughly 5-6 hours runtime , with additional after recharging the buds in the included charging case. Yeah, they aren't cheap, but worth absolutely every penny - these are THE earbuds to have!

The good - these buds have the absolute best noise cancelling of any I've ever tried - just be careful, it's easy for people to inadvertently sneak up on you. Sound quality and range is also excellent - deep bass, clear highs and vocals. Reasonably good EQ adjustments. Battery life is adequate, but definitely not best in class by any means - I'd still consider it average or better. They fit my ears very well, and don't fall out or come loose easily. The not-so-good - the lack of a wireless charging case given the price point is disappointing. Pretty much every other set in the same price range includes one. The touch control on the earbuds is a little inconsistent and too sensitive - you can't even adjust a bud in your ear without accidentally pausing your music half the time. They are also sometimes a little buggy, with the two earbuds losing sync on occasion, which is more of an annoyance than anything but should be looked into. Bluetooth range is not fantastic. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase, even at the price point of this set.

I upgraded from the QuietComfort Earbuds, as the QC II were supposed to be the top of the line. The sound quality was better, they also fit more comfortably in my ears. The negatives are what others had mentioned in their reviews. At first they kept disconnecting every time I removed them from my ears, putting them back into the case, I have an Android. It did, however resolve itself eventually and stayed connected after a few days. These did connect just about immediately, the originals take a few seconds to connect when taken out of the case, they always did. I did not like the new shape of the case and you could not tell how low the case battery was, which are pros for the original. I also had issues with removing the earbuds out of the case, they are very smooth, very difficult to grip. Once I figured out the angle to grip them at and especially with my long fingernails, it just was not worth the extra price for me. I ended up returning the QC II, purchasing the original QuietComfort Earbuds again.

I love these earbuds. They sound great and stay in my ears while I'm walking, but they do feel like they're going to come out when I speed up. I press them in often which puts the music on hold or plays the next song. Very annoying. But the problems that are most frequent are the earbuds not coming out of the case easily, the earbuds not going into the case all of the way, therefore rendering them useless until they are charged again (this usually will happen to one of the buds so that you're only listening to one bud, and the best of all is that the quality of phone calls is awful. I have been told time and time again that the person on the other end of the phone hears everything! One thing I forgot is that the connectivity isn't consistent. I have had to replace them twice because of this issue. So the sound is great, but I found many problems, too. I think that I'm going to try the new Sonys and compare.

These headphones are my 2nd different brand and these are a keeper. My first set was Apple Pro 2nd gen, they were fantastic in almost every option except comfort. After a couple hours my left ear started aching, These were my second choice, I had always purchased the Bose sport lanyard style which unfortunatley they discontinued. The Quiet comfort II are extremely comfortable and have excellent sound and noise canceling. I did have a little bit of a problem getting them to sync to my Iphone but after the update the seem to be working well. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is no multi point connection and no wireless charging case. For the amount of money they cost those options sh. After reading the reviews on the Ultra it was still missing these options and not worth the 80 increse in price.

Overall very impressed with them, I will say after wearing them for some time they tend to fatigue the ears, and it might only be me but wanted to put that out there, Otherwise the ANC is great and blocks out a lot of noise happening around me. The ambient mode is also really good and is my preferred mode when I don't mind having outside noise come by or I know I need to be hearing for people calling me. My worry with these was they were going to make my ears feel plugged and they do not at all they make a nice seal and the rest is handled by the ANC Sound quality is superb, I am also very pleased to say the bass out of the box for these is stellar as its very punchy but the Bose Music app does allow you to change the EQ of it and make it a bit less punchy. The touch controls are also really nice and respond even when it's a light tap which I know can be seen as a good and a bad thing. They do have volume controls on the earbuds, you swipe either up or down on either one and it just works. haven't had too many non responsive taps. I used AirPods 3rd generation before these but I think I might of found a good solid replacement that can also provide me with great ANC when needed.

I would recommend this to a friend
