The noise cancellation is top notch, when they work properly. Countless pairing issues, they reset while using them frequently, if they aren’t seated in the case perfectly they won’t charge. Oh and the touch controls are just nonsense.

I'm happy you like the noise cancellation of your QuietComfort Earbuds II, Terry! The earbuds do need to sit in the case correctly to charge, however this should be a simple case of dropping them gently into the case. If you're experiencing issues, try resetting your earbuds manually - this may also fix the reset loop and pairing issues. If all else fails, please contact our support team, so we can also help you get used to the touch controls. Regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

Unfortunately for me this does not live up to it's name or even the price. Listening to media is nice and loud, but talking on the phone it sounds low and people confirm it to be that way when I ask them. I'm almost to the point of returning them of they don't update these.

I'm sorry to hear you're not entirely satisfied with your QuietComfort Earbuds II, though you do enjoy listening to different media with them. For optimal mic performance on calls, ensure your earbuds are angled with the Bose logo pointing at your mouth/chin. Also make sure that any headgear you're wearing isn't blocking the mic holes. If issues persist, please contact our support team, so we can take a closer look at what's happening: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Comfortable and has good noise cancelation but they are often reconnecting to my phone when charging in the case. Also often exposure to loud noises will mess up the microphone and people won't hear u as good during calls. Already happened to the 2 pairs i got. Second pair started making popping sounds and stopped working after riding with my car windows down.

      Hi James,

I'm happy that you enjoy how comfortable the earbuds are, and find the noise cancelling good.
To stop the earbuds from connecting to your phone while inside the case charge. Please ensure that the stability bands are correctly fitted to the earbuds following our guide here (https://bose.life/3rD2Stu). If they are not fitted correctly they may sit too high in the case when charging.

I'd also suggest following the guide here(https://bose.life/472rpax) for help with the noise cancelling not responding correctly.

You can reach out to us as well (https://bose.life/contact) as we'd love to help you.

      Hi Kevin,

Thanks for sharing your experience with the QC Earbuds II. Connectivity issues certainly shouldn't be happening. Have you tried troubleshooting the connection by resetting the earbuds or checking for firmware updates? Sometimes a simple software fix can resolve these issues. You can find useful troubleshooting steps on this page: https://bose.life/47OjChg

If you've already tried that and are still having issues, please feel free to get in touch with us via https://bose.life/3ET4mCs.

These ear buds do not have a very good reception range. With my old ear buds, I could put my phone in one location an do yard work all over my yard without loosing connection. With the Bose, if I get more than 20 to 30 feet away from my phone and bend over to pick something up, I loose connection. All other aspects of the Bose ear buds are good

Thanks for your review, Poppy! The QuietComfort Earbuds II have a Bluetooth range of up to 9m (30ft). If you find that your signal is dropping when you do yard work, I would recommend putting the phone closer to you, or carrying it with you, which should strengthen the signal. If issues persist, our customer support team will be on hand to help you. Regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

Best in class ANC, big improvement over 1st gen.

These are top tier earbuds from Bose that are just shy of being the absolute best on the market. I still have them a 5/5 rating for their best-in-class ANC and stellar, adjustable, audio quality. But they are missing some aspects that would have taken them over the edge. I’ll get the negatives out of the way first. At this price point, there is no excuse for the case to not support Qi charging. That’s something that $100 earbuds support. Bose could have done better. Second, you can’t use these independently. The right earbud feeds the left and is the only one that can be used by itself. This isn’t 2010 anymore Bose, get with it. Bose has said a firmware update is in the works, but never buy tech based on future promises. I can live with those two negatives though. The fit of these earbuds are great. No skipping, they stay snuggly put and I can wear them for hours on end without issues. I have to take them out for charging before my ears get tired of them. The sound quality is also excellent. There’s a 3-band EQ you can adjust to make them sound how you want. I like the typical v-shaped curve so mine are tuned for that. The ANC of the QC earbuds II is better than anything on the market from Apple, Sony, B&O, M&D, B&W, Jabra, Samsung, Google, Soundcore, or any other company. Bose retook their top spot as ANC leaders. These even do a better job than the QC45 headphones. Bose also improved their audio awareness, these are almost as natural as the AirPods Pro 2 and better than every other pair of earbuds out there. Lastly, Bose improved the connectivity of these compared to the previous generation. I don’t know what happened, but the first gen were the worst earbuds I had ever used. They constantly skipped, disconnected, and experienced audio stuttering. Not these. I’ve used them in a crowded gym, at the beach, in a packed stadium, and in a big city. They do skip, but the same amount as the AirPods Pro 2 did with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I’ll hear a small, audible skip about once every 2 weeks with these (I’ve heard 2 total), that’s a huge improvement from the hourly skipping I experienced with the first generation (even after exchanging them for different ones and pairing to different devices). Bose is onto something with three, they would have been perfect had they added those two missing aspects. These earbuds are for anyone that wants something smaller than the terrible first generation with the absolute best ANC you can buy, and solid sound quality.

Ridiculous noise canceling, very good audio quality. I wish the app provided greater eq flexability. While most people might give a higher rating, I would reserve 5 stars for the Sony XM4’s due to greater battery life, wireless charging in the case, better app and superb sound quality. As far as noise canceling goes, holy crap! Bose really dialed it up. It would be a great choice for air travel and other noisy environments.

As usual, Bose sound quality is amazing. The issues are with the connectivity and noise cancellation. Continually having to reset/reconnect, then eventually quit working all together. The original (first generation) Bose QuietComfort Earbuds were the best!

Hello JakeH, We are happy to hear you enjoy the amazing sound quality of the QuietComfort Earbuds II.
If you are having issues with them staying connected, Try clearing the Bluetooth device list on the product itself and removing them from the phone,
With the earbuds in the charging case and the case open, press and hold the button on the back of the case for 15 seconds. Wait until the earbud's status light blinks white twice and then slowly blinks blue.
If you run into any issues, please reach out to support and we’ll be happy to help!
