Great earbuds but Bose needs to fix app

Okay, so these headphones are great no question and have pretty good sound quality, however not 5 stars great. There are a few features that knock them down a notch. First the Bose app... It blows, half the time it does not connect or can't find the earbuds even when they are already connected to my phone and I'm listening to music. I've tried everything to fix this issue and so far the only thing that works is taking them off and put them back in the case, close the app (sometimes it doesn't seem to work for me without wifi). Take them back out and put them in the ear and open the app, this works maybe 60% of the time. Given the fact that you NEED the app to be able to use the available features this is completely unacceptable for a $300 pair of earbuds, Bose needs to get their crap together and fix this app, this is a premium product the app should be no different. The other issue or just annoyance is the anc...sometimes it seems that the buds don't act together when talking during music, that I'll have one side adjust and not the other, this causes a pretty odd audio sensation, kinda feels like one ear is being pressurized while the other is not. I have gotten used to it by now, but it's still a strange. Another annoyance is the lack of wireless charging and flimsy case lid, not a make or break but with all other premium earbuds having wireless charging and durable case it feels they are a bit behind on this. All this aside these are great earbuds, they stay locked in your ear, they sound great (when you can get the app to work), look great, overall you will be happy with them.

The BEST Bluetooth Earphones On The Market!!

I spent months researching to determine if any other earphones could beat these out after hearing many people rave about them. Heck even Charlie Puth made a Tik Tok promoting them! I could not find anything that could possibly persuade me from getting these. From the moment I put them in my ears, it was like I was hearing music for the first time again! Everything is so clean, bass is powerful and very much present, and you can truly hear every instrument and sound in the song you’re listening to! As I’ve said in the title, these are without a doubt the BEST Bluetooth ear buds on the market! Not to mention they actually fit my ears and I can barely tell I’m wearing them! Yes it’s $300 but they go on sale frequently so whenever you see them at $259.99, GRAB THEM! Best purchase I have made so far this year!

I was constantly having trouble with my airpods for work meetings. So I researched and found the Bose QuietComfort earbud II had good reviews. I bought a pair and they have lived up to the hype. The first impression is they do last longer than my airpods before it needs recharging. It also has a better noise cancellation feature and I am happy with how it keeps out all the background noise and talking in my house - something the airpods were not quiet good enough for. The fit was great too, I took them out on my morning jogs and they stayed securely in place. The quality of sound for music also is a step up to the airpods, I can hear bass and treble much more clearly.

I have never liked earbuds, but these Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are the exception! They are lightweight. The silicon earcups form fit themselves to the insides of my ears so they achieve the perfect fit everytime I use them. They have an extra little "fin" that fits under the large cartilage swirl in the top of my ear. That helps them stay in place and fit snugly. Even though the shape of my ear canals are not the same, that is not a problem for these earbuds. I get a perfect fit every time I use them. The noise cancelling ability is excellent. The sound from these earbuds is superb. There is rich, deep base, and crystal clear midtones and highs. I can't praise them highly enough. I was skeptical, but they won me over and then some.

The buds fit in you ear and seals it comfortably so the high and low pass sounds great. In normal use, short use, the buds won't fall off, but if your exercising, it does fall out. The contrals are lacking and has less features than cheaper chinese brand I bought 3 years ago. It doesn't support wireless charging so I can't just drop it on my charging pad. The touch pause can't be disabled so everytime I adjust the buds, it will pause what I'm playing. There isn't an indicator that shows me how much battery I have left on the case at a glance, and the app won't show anything until it's paired. Pairing is sometimes a miss, and if the buds time out, there's no way to wake it up unless you put it back in the case. It's sad that a brand that I bought for a hundred less has better features than this.

I'm glad you like the fit and comfort of your QuietComfort Earbuds II!

A wireless charging case is available separately. The quickest way to check the battery level is to insert the buds into your ear - you'll hear a prompt. You can also use the Bose app to check. The app features an Equalizer for adjusting basses, mids and trebles as well, plus "Modes" that you can set up in order to quickly switch between your favorite noise-cancelling settings.

If your earbuds aren't always pairing, try rebooting your smartphone, as this can stabilise things. With some practice, you'll find you can adjust your earbuds without accidentally touching the touch controls. If when exercising you find the earbuds are falling out, make sure you've tried the different eartip and stability band combinations that we provide, as well as the Earbud Seal Test in the Bose app, to make sure you're getting the best fit.

I hope this information helps! Our support team will also be on hand to provide any further assistance if needed: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US.

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Pros: 1. Top notch sound 2. ANC is best in class 3. Smaller size of Buds (almost 30%) and Case (almost 40%) as compared to it's predecessoer 4. Vastly improved voice calling 5. Good fit in the ear due to 2 Piece Fit kit system with separate ear tips and stability band as compared to StayEar wing tips in it's predecessor Cons: 1. Pricey 2. No wireless charging of case (at this price point - bummer) 3. Left bud is a slave of right one, cannot use independently if right one is in the case 4. No multipoint Bluetooth yet 5. No aptX (uses AAC & SBC codecs)

    Want to love them, but.....

When they work they are amazing, but boy its hard to love. Pros: Amazing Sound Great ANC Decent Range Can Be Used Individually Price Is On Point With AirPods Cons: No Way To Have Two Devices Connected At Once Constant Connection Issues Switch Between Devices Is Bad They Seem To Pop Quite a Bit I want to love these, but its hard. Have had CONSTANT Connection Issues. I need to completely forget them from my device, then reset them, and then repair them. In the 4 months I have had them, I have done this 6 times. When going from one call to another quickly, I am noticing the devices even though connected to my phone, they don't transmit audio. When using one earbud notice a lot of popping as if ANC is kicking in and out. As far as the app, it's not great, just tells you basic info. For the good stuff: Battery life is pretty good. When they work, can go thru my entire work day without worrying. The range is pretty good too. Audio / Sound quality is amazing, have not had one person tell me I sound muffled, far, or with a lot of background noise. Tried the same place with my airpod pros and the opposite was said. When using on an airplane, no issues with background noise either, ANC is pretty darn good. Would I recommend, idk, I think if you only have one device I think these are great.

Tried both QC and Ultra earbuds. I ended up keeping the QC as I was not interested in the other features of the Ultra. Sound are identical and both had intermittent bluetooth issues. I have them paired with an iPhone 14 Pro. ANC is superior than my Airpods Pro 2. Fit is perfect. Battery life as expected.

I am hoping the issues with these disconnecting gets fixed by software. If i didnt knkw any better I would guess that apple is doing it on purpose because Bose is eroding thei Airpod marketshare. Anywya i have other older bose hearohones that do not have this problem. Otherwise they are still the best BASS and noise cancelling that money can buy.

I really am enjoying these new headphones. The best part is the noice cancelling. It really cancels 99% or noice. I have used them for zoom meeting and going to the gym. They really help me toon out any noice and focus. The only downside is that it only connect to one device at a time. But I can live with that because the battery life is pretty long and the case is really convenient.

Hands down. Of all brands I've tried, Bose is one who has never let me down. Most efficient noise canceling, it's amazing! I love the way you increase and decrease volume. The option to remove noise cancelation while using is impressive as well. It's not something I had on any other ear devices. Only thing I do wish is that the ear buds would connect to more than one device at the same time like all my other Bose devices. The clarity of sound is beautiful and the base is perfect. I love that I have an equalizer on the app. It's proven I can go quite far from my device without disconnecting. As stated approximately that 30 ft. range. No disconnection problems at all. Overall very satisfied with my new ear buds! Love them and I recommend them!

With their exceptional sound quality, comfortable fit, and impressive noise-canceling capabilities, they provide an immersive listening experience. The touch controls and reliable Bluetooth connection add to their convenience, while the long battery life and quick charging feature keep the music going. I bought these after researching reviews, much like you're doing now. After swapping out the size modifiers, they fit great. The app makes things easy and can even test if you have a good fit in place. The touch controls work great and the charge seems to hold as I don't use them for long periods of time. The active noise reduction is really good and drowns out a powerful fan at work. The only thing I wish this had was multi-point Bluetooth. On a rare occasion, the Bluetooth will disconnect between sessions but it's easy to reconnect. If you have some disposable income, I recommend these.

The sound is awesome like always and the size reduction and the ear-holder make them more comfortable when wearing them for long periods. It is nice that you can use either one without needing to take the right side out of the box like the previous version. The slimmer case is also a plus, but I miss the wireless charging (no longer an option). To me, it is not 5 stars because they are missing the wireless charging and I do not have 100% noise cancelation like my wife's airpods do.

These earbuds are the quietest noose cancelling taht I’ve ever had. Thinner than the previous generation. Only thing Bose needs to work on is making them a bit louder. Case is smaller than before but no wireless charging.

Sound quality is good as you would expect from Bose. The noise canceling is pretty awesome. They are light weight and stay in feel. They do have some connectivity issues at times; not often. I would highly suggest a different set of buds for working out as I got an annoying static in first two pair after working out. I have not sweated in this pair and the are working fine.

These are my wifes ear buds. I try to steal them as often as possible because of how superior they are to my Gen 2 JBL ear buds! Wanna block out most ofnthe ambient noise of other human beings? These do the trick! Wanna make sure the sirens coming from outside ypur home as society slowly crumbles ans burns into a dystopian nightmare?? Well Bose can do that for you, you'll have a smile on your face and a tune in your head while you hammer away at menial tasks like dishes, homework, taxes, and yelling out the top answer while watching family feud re-runs with your senile grandmother. Yes I assure you these ear buds are the real deal, I wish I had more holes just so I'd have an excuse to buy more of these! P.s. I seriously can't remember the last time we evwn had to charge them the battery lasts so long.
