Not what a flagship pair of earbuds should be

I had high hopes for the QC earbuds. Bose's StayHear tips are usually the only ones that comfortably fit my ears without issues. I initially had a pair of QC earbuds and exchanged them, twice, when I experienced a bug: the left earbud would dominate when the volume was lower than 50%, the right earbud would dominate at volumes above 50%, and they would be equal when the volume was at 50%. I reset each pair of earbuds multiple times, but the bug came back. I returned my third pair of earbuds and decided to wait until Bose worked on some of the bugs. I tried these again and they still aren't what they should be, even for their $199 sale price. Their comfort and fit are fine, I didn't have any issues wearing them all day. I wish they were smaller, so they didn't jiggle around whenever I walked, but I was fine with that as the earbuds generally felt light. The only time I could tell I was wearing them was when I walked. Their audio quality is good, I wish the EQ was a bit better (more than just bass, mid, and treble) but I'll take what I can get. Their ANC was top notch though. I had people standing in my office without me hearing them. I think these have the best ANC of any pair of wireless earbuds I have tried, and that's saying a lot. The charging case could be smaller, but it does feature USB-C and Qi charging. My main complaint, and why these are getting two stars, is that they're buggy. Bose cheaped out on the Bluetooth so the right earbud feeds the left. This type of guest/host setup is indicative of old and/or cheap Bluetooth. A $199+ pair of wireless earbuds should connect independently, not like this. It means you can't use just the left earbud without taking the right one out of the case. This isn't 2015 and Bose should have done better. Additionally, these earbuds have connectivity issues. They skip when my phone is in my front left pocket, mainly the left earbud. It's as if the right earbud either loses connection with the left or it focuses on connecting to my phone and loses the left. It happened way too many times when I was just in my house. I walked down a crowded beach and they were unusable around all the other 2.4Ghz devices. Other modern earbuds I have aren't this bad. The earbuds themselves are buggy. The app isn't the best experience and I lost track of how many times the app couldn't find the earbuds. It also took the earbuds too long to re-connect to my devices after taking them off for a moment and putting them back in. Lastly, due to their size, these aren't earbuds you can just plop in and out of your ears. It takes time to fully insert each earbud and you must be careful. There were too many times when the round ear tip didn't make a seal with my outer ear canal and the sound quality (and ANC) drastically decreased because of that. I'm usually a big fan of Bose's headphones and earbuds but, for whatever reason, they've been playing catchup the last few years and still can't compete with other companies. They either skimp out on the features (like no EQ with the QC45 headphones), use cheap/outdated tech, or have buggy firmware that takes years to iron out (like the QC35/35II). If a $150 pair of earbuds from another company can stay connected to my phone without issues and not act buggy, a $200+ pair of ANC earbuds from Bose should be able to. I'm now using earbuds from a different company. They're smaller, lighter, don't have the connectivity or firmware issues of these, and they sound the same. Their ANC isn't as good, that's where Bose takes the case, but I'd rather have a pair of solid earbuds with decent ANC (that can also easily fit in my pocket) than use these. Bose really needs to update these with newer Bluetooth and focus on trimming them down. Maybe I will give them a go in another 3-4 years when Bose updates these. I really enjoyed their QuietComfort line back before Bluetooth was common in headphones/earbuds, they just haven't seemed to caught up in the push to wireless.

Excellent bluetooth wireless buds! I was torn between getting these and the Beats Powerbeats Pro. I ended up buying both to compare the two items. There is no comparison in sound quality. The Bose are exponentially better. The Beats do have the better bass (which they are known for), but everything else is so muddy. The Bose has the all-round, crystal clear audio that I am accustomed to. They fit great and are super comfy.

These earbuds are great! I've purchased others in the past, usually less expensive. Some have worked okay but my major problem has always been keeping them in my ears. Constantly falling out is very frustrating when trying to go on my daily walks. These stay in!! I've even tried shaking my head vigorously and still there! The sound quality is great and having phone conversations crisp and clear. Highly recommend.

I love these headphones. I needed some noise canceling heaphones that would not fall out of my ear (ear canal too big for buds). These are perfect. Great for working out, work calls, and they are light that I forget they are in my ear. Only thing I wish would be more controls on the headset such as forward, back using one headset.

    Best Noise Cancelling Earbuds

I have been waiting for the next generation of earbuds from Bose. I was surprised that they were announced and then released shortly after the announcement. I planned on waiting for reviews before purchasing them. However, after reading first impressions from other consumers, I purchased them. When I put the earbuds in my ears for the first time, I thought I had gone deaf. I was really surprised at how well the noise cancelling works with these earbuds. It is on par with the noise cancelling from the Bose 700 headphones. It is far better than the noise cancelling from the Airpod Pros and Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds. Audio is fantastic. Earbuds present the audio with great balance without sacrificing the 3 areas of audio, bass, mids and treble. If you are looking for a heavy emphasis on bass, you won't find it with these earbuds. Bass is well represented but isn't overpowered. The only knock against these earbuds is the price. There are many earbuds on the market that have an equivalent sound reproduction but cost less (typically around $200). The extra cost could only be justified with the excellent noise cancellation. If you don't care about the noise cancelling feature, then you could look at the Bose Sport Earbuds. I don't have experience with them, but it appears that sound just as good as the QC Earbuds.

    Balancing Sound with Comfort

The sound and noise cancelling is everything expected of Bose and does not disappoint. The battery life and case provide power for the day. The ability to pair with one device at a time makes it clunky to switch between then unlike with other Bose devices. The comfort is above average just not amazing.

I had the older generation of that that were good but these are even better. They are the only ones that do not fall out of my ears and are actually comfortable for extended use. These have been great on my long work flights for canceling out noise and lasting the whole flight.

Best ever! These stay in your ears really well. Sweat and all! I always have issues with other earbuds hurting my ears after a short time, but definitely not these! Very comfortable. They are truly noice canceling!! I can not hear any outside noise when I am at the gym! The battery lasts a very long time as well. I would definitely recommend spending the money and buying these.

Easily the best nose canceling feature of all the true wireless buds I've tried. Extremely comfortable and not as heavy as I was anticipating due to their size. Took them running, jumping jacks, burpies... no problem. Only three minor issues I have is you can't switch voice automation to Google, only Bixby, and they do not auto disconnect when I put them in the changing case like the older model. Amazing quality though!

The sound quality and noise cancellation feature is probably is good as it gets with ear buds. You definitely need traditional headphones to beat these. The battery life is exceptional. My ears don’t agree with hard plastic earbuds and these are super sleek, soft, and comfortable. I thought they might not stay securely in my ear but they do. Cost is high but the quality commands it.

Better fit than newer QC II model.

Worked very well for 2 years. Larger than newer models BUT were much better at staying in ears. New QC II model pops out when chewing, yawning, moving even after trying different tip and band sizes. Also, audio on QC II is good but sometimes does a brief warble thing and Bluetooth pairing sometime fails. So, if you can still buy this model instead of QC II, I would. I might see if I can trade in toward the even newer Ultra model and see if the smaller size and weight makes them less likely to want to tumble out. Wish the newer, smaller, lighter models had the ability to attach tips in the older format with the little wings which seem to really help keep them in place.

After doing about a month of research, I finally landed upon these. Admittedly, I bought Airpods Pro first but was unamused. I decided to make the jump to these, and they were well worth the money. I've had them for a few weeks now and have virtually no complaints. The noise cancellation is perfect and I like that you can create different modes (work/school/gym) for different levels of noise cancellation. Also, the fit is perfect. For people with awkward shaped ears like myself, it felt like they molded to my ear which was pleasing. The wing isnt removable but the flexible material makes you forget it's even there. As far as battery life, I have a pretty demanding job so I don't use them constantly, but I would say I use them for about 1-2 hours a day and have only had to charge them once since I purchased them, so 10/10 on the battery life - though if you use them more you may have a different experience. They've got tons of cool features - like you change the volume by sliding your finger up/down on them, and tapping to switch modes. Overall I am happy with the purchase and feel like it was well worth the money!

I use these mainly at work and they are great ! Typical Bose sound quality (AWESOME ) Being to adjust the noise cancelling to you what you choose is a nice feature. Sound quality when answering calls is better on both ends compared to the Quiet Comfort Sport. All feature seem relatively easy to use and the battery seems to hold up well. Setup was also a piece of cake
