Truly the epitome of noise canceling wireless

You know you're in for a treat when you put the headphones in and the initial startup sound knocks your socks off. It's just so full and rich hearing those initial tones that it just goes to show that Bose wanted to make sure they got everything right this time around. My initial impression came from the case which has a push button latch. This is a little added benefit that reflects their dedication to the quality of the whole as it makes sure your earbuds stay in the case, make it easier to transport, and just gives it an additional surety that it's obvious they didn't skimp out on anything even down to the case design. Noise cancelling is the major draw for these and it works WELL. I walked into my son's room and could easily hear him as if I didn't have the earbuds in (albeit you know you're listening to it through the earbuds as it removes a bit of the vibration you innately feel from someone speaking). Turning it on immediately cut off his game sounds, his keyboard sounds, but still allowed his voice to come through clearly but at a reduced volume. This is probably a safety/ease of use function so someone doesn't have to hit you with a nerf brick to get your attention after they've been screaming your name for the last 20 minutes. I loved the fact that it could differentiate though. Sound quality is on the upper end of the spectrum of earbuds. I felt like the sound was rich and full and the only thing I was missing was the lower base notes in things like Promises by Nero but you don't often find headphones under $500 that reproduce those. In the end, these are the headphones I'll carry around for commutes, airplane travel, etc...

I have not been able to use these ear buds to talk on the phone due to loud backgeound noise heard by people I'm talking too. I was constantly told the noise was too loud. The Noise Cancelation feature is only for me, not the only person. Terrible.

These where the worst sounding headphones ive used in years. Very muddy sounding, the touch controls are super limited and they stick way to far out of my ears. They're very uncomfortable to the point I was in pain after 45 minutes.

      Hi Steven.
Thank you for posting. Sorry to hear that you are facing issues with the earbuds. It's possible that a sharp, high-pitched sound could trigger the noise cancelling to feedback or chirp/squeak for a short moment. Additionally, chewing chips, ice etc. creates sound in the ear canal. The ANC system in return may detect this as feedback/squealing and lower the noise cancelling to stop the feedback very quickly. Turning off In-Ear detection may prevent this. https://bose.life/3EuWjvk. with the static noise, please reset the earbuds and the source. https://bose.life/3gp4fGB. If you have future questions, just reach out to us here. https://bose.life/3BzXXfd. We would love to help.

Thank you for your review, I am glad you enjoyed the earbuds. It is surprising that you have experienced muffled and crackling sounds. A crackling sound can be caused when the earbuds are used in very noisy environments. I would recommend checking the ear tip fit and making sure that the earbuds are up to date. You can manually update the earbuds via btu.bose.com.

This earbud only works if your right ear is out. For aa much as i paid for it i would expect them to be better than that. Most earbuds theses days (and much cheaper) allow you to listen through either side.

Hi, the QuietComfort Earbuds play audio through both earbuds. The right earbud holds the microphone array, so will be required when making phone calls. However, you can use either bud alone if you prefer listening to music this way. If you're not experiencing this, please try the troubleshooting at https://bose.life/3xU7qdF, or reach out to us at https://bose.life/38Q1vZs so we can put things right. It took me a little trial and error to figure how to best place these in my ears, but once I figured that out, WOW! The sound is so crisp and with just the right amount of bass. They might be the best sounding wireless earbuds I've had and they could be better sounding than any wired ones I've had too. These earbuds also have some unique features: - The app is intuitive with tips and tricks and customizable settings. - One custom setting is the ability to pick what shortcut you want to enable for touching the left earbud. Current choices are "Hear Battery level" and "Skip Forward" I say current choices because with software, it seems they could always add more features to pick from with an update. - For Noise canceling you can set three levels in favorites to cycle through when you double tap the left earbud. - The earbuds have in-ear detection that you can turn on and off and customize. The default is for auto play/pause but you can also turn on auto answer call. - The case is your charger and I appreciate that it has the USB-C connection so that you can easily replace the cord if needed. One thing the earbuds are lacking (that I have not found so I could be wrong) is the ability to increase or decrease the volume by tapping an earbud. You can press and hold the right earbud to access voice control on your phone and tell your phone to turn them down, but for me I have my phone packed away while biking and would like to be able to tap the earbuds to turn up or down. I apologize if this features is available and I haven't found it. If its not available, I think this could easily be an option added with a software update as I mentioned previously. Overall I really like these earbuds as another quality product from Bose and would highly recommend them.
