Great pair of cans great sound and quality.best anc on the market

I have started to become a hoarder of over the ear headphones. I have roughly 6 pair and these are in the running for my favorite pair. For reference, I am comparing these to my Marshall, Skullcandy and Heavys over the ear cans. While they do not have the bass of the Skullcandy nor the full midrange of the Marshall and Heavys, they are some of the best all around sounding headphones I have heard. Pairing was super easy and the app even tells you it is keeping the best connection going. I have used the EQ along side my 3rd party app and the sound is nothing shy of incredible. The NC is the best out of all of them, and it is not even close. They are light, they sound fantastic and the range is phenomenal. I can walk from one side to the other side of my house with zero connection issues, even through walls. They fold up nicely, do not fatigue you on longer sessions. I even prefer to use these on phone calls over speakerphone. Callers report a nice clear sound and I have zero problems hearing the other side and the volume is only at 80% These headphones, again, are fantastic! Great job Bose!

These are the next evolution of their mid tiered Active noise cancelling over the ear headphones from Bose. They are a step down from the Ultras they sell. They are built fine but an obvious downgrade. They do now offer that immersive sound they have with the Ultra 's which is nice to have if you're into that. I personally don't care for it but at least it's an option for you now if you don't want to spend the money for the ultra's. In terms of the specs you'll get around 20 hours or more of battery life, better sound and some new sound modes as well. The cushions feel different and slightly more comfortable than the last generation as well which is good to see. As far as compared to other products in the market I think these do compete especially at the lower price. The Active noise cancelling isn't the very top but close enough that if you rather save a few dollars these are well worth the cost. If you want the absolute best sound quality these again are competitive if you look at what you pay and what you get out of them

Pre-release review of the Generation 2, Quietcomfort noise canceling headphones by Bose. At the time my review headphones arrived, there was very limited information available from Bose as to the upgrades and improvements made to differentiate the Generation 2 model from the Generation 1. The outer cardboard box provided product images, minimal information and the usual legal disclaimers. The inner box was equally stark. Printed inside the lid was the setup link for internet as well as the ubiquitous QR code for mobile link. Printed inside the second lid was an IKEA-esk pictograph of the headphones and explanation of the controls layout. Easy to understand and the buttons are easy to access while wearing. The headphones are enclosed in a nice, slim, zippered carrying case. Inside, in the lid pocket was a very thin and flimsy 3.5 mm phono plug to USB C cable, measuring 40.5 inches, as well as a 16 inch male to male USB C to USB C cable. Both will need to be upgraded for long-term use but work for initial testing and setup. The headphones themselves are very well made, light, weighing just over 8 ounces and extremely comfortable. The earcups are soft and sized to just fit over the ears and the headband is nicely padded for comfort. It looks like Bose has taken the best features from the original Quietcomfort and the Quietcomfort Ultra headphones to create the Generation 2 model. They work well for extended listening sessions. Using the QR code allowed me to sign-in/create a Bose account, set up the headphones and access the app that controls the headphone features. I encountered no issues getting things to pair with my phone or getting the app functions to work correctly. The immersion demo was impressive. Noise canceling was fantastic and very apparent. I was in a room with multiple people talking and two cooling fans running and the noise from all virtually disappeared when I activated the feature. Scrolling through the app, it appears that you can tailor the amount of noise canceling that you want and save it as a default. Very nice. Overall, this is a very impressive set of noise canceling headphones, light weight, and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Sound is full and evenly balanced, without the excessive bass or tinny treble that some other headphones are plagued with. Definitely worth considering if in the market for a new set off headphones.

These updated Bose QuietComfort headphones are without a doubt the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of using. I tend to have comfort issues when it comes to over ear headphones, leading me to prefer ear buds instead. But I have put these Bose QuietComfort headphones to the test with workouts, walks, mowing the lawn, quiet desk work, even laying in bed and watching a movie and I have yet to have a situation where the headphones are uncomfortable or move a lot on their own. I’m so glad they stay in place, don’t squeeze my ears or head too tight causing pressure in any specific spots, and they also do not cause my ears or head to sweat. As expected from the Bose reputation, these headphones sound incredible. They sound warm, crisp and clear, the base is impressive as well and even on heavy base songs it still sounds clear and not muddy. I have also been impressed with the adjustable noise cancelling capabilities. I really put these to the test on the riding lawn mower and barely heard the mower, so I was able to play my music at a lower volume than I normally do which I’m sure my ears appreciate. I attend several IndyCar races a year and always struggle to be able to hear my headphones playing track radio communications over the noise of the cars but I’m so excited to be able to use these at the track in the future. I’ve also noticed the battery life is even better than I expected, I realized I’ve only had to give them a boost once since having them despite putting them through a lot of use lately, that will be great for travel. I truly am excited to have found a pair of over ear headphones that I actually love using, it has been a long time coming and I’m even surprised it was Bose who was able to convert me to a headphone girl. I highly recommend these to anyone who regularly listens to music, appreciates the quality of music, as well as lives an active lifestyle as these are ready for it.

These headphones are really amazing in terms of audio quality. I like how much bass there is but it may be even slightly too much, it's very punchy but it's in a good way. I like how small the carrying case is and that it comes with a 3.5mm jack and a USB-C to USB-C cable which is nice to plug directly into a device and hear lossless audio. The app is easy to use and the new immersion audio is really really nice. I like that you can select different immersion modes like off, still, or motion. This Spatial Audio is one of the most impressive features of these headphones it is a world of difference compared to just stereo sound. The noise cancellation is amazing as well and you can change it to different modes like quiet, aware, immersion, cinema, or even create your own mode from the app. You can change the EQ to four different options Bass Boost, Bass Reducer, Treble Boost, and Treble Reducer but I like to keep mine at the default flat. You can change the shortcut button on the left ear cup to cycle immersive audio options for still, motion, and off, access your voice assistant or use it with Spotify. Battery life has been great and it's even better if you use the USB-C cable with it and my device charged the headphones while I was using it that was pretty cool. Only thing I would change is having better tech features like head positioning or if you take your headphones off it automatically turns off the audio or some aware function if you hold your hand to one side of the headphones to let sound in. I would also prefer all metal headbands for more durability. These are very amazing though and I would recommend these upgraded Gen 2 Quietcomfort headphones.

These QC (not ULTRA) is an interesting animal. These second generation headphones are great and if remove the price, it's almost the perfect headset. What it has is one of the best ANC in the market today. In putting them on, it's like walking into a soundproof room. Pretty weird, but in a good way. These come boxed minimally which I do like and come in a great sturdy case. You do fold these a bit and the overall case is a good size for your carry on bags when traveling. These come with a USB C to 3.5mm jack but you need to turn on the headphones to actually use the cords. Not a dealbreaker but it is what it is. Also comes with the typical USB C to USB C to charge. The charging is pretty dang fast. I had it 80 out of the box and plugged it into my computer and it charged in like 15 to 20 minutes. To get the most of of these, I do suggest to download the Bose app from your app store. Once you bluetooth connect and pair, open the app and connect it and you are on your way to some pretty cool features besides the ANC. What it does have is one of the best ANC you can get. Also it has physical buttons. The on/off/bluetooth pairing slider which used to be on the side is now moved to a more non discrete under side of the headphone so you no longer see it in plain view. The other physical buttons are the function button which, at default, changes the modes from immersive, quiet and normal. Immersive and quiet modes are pretty much the same ANC functions. The only difference being the immersive tracks your head movements and directs the sounds at certain angles, which is pretty cool. The other physical buttons are the play and pause and volume up and down. No touchpads here, which I personally prefer. The only things I do not like is that these do not offer the auto off when taking them off. And my main thing is that the cups do not lay flat on my shoulders with the cups down. The cups have to facing outwards, which is awkward. A lot of headphones nowdays are this way, there are some exceptions like my Sony XM6's, which are my bar to set the standard by. While the ANC edges out on the Bose, overall, I prefer the Sony's because of the EQ system. It's much more detailed and I get to tweak it even more than the Bose EQ. Which is ok, but personally is not enough. When not putting the price in question, would I recommend it? Yes! However, with the price, I want to say even the mid tier Sony's a comparable, except for the ANC department, Bose has the title of best in show in my opinion. But with overall sound the Bose is good, but is a bit muddy when the bass is beyond a certain setting and when lowering the bass, the entire sound stage becomes less rich. This is where a more detailed EQ setting would work, but unfortunatly I am limited there app wise. That is why it's a 4 star rating. This may be the perfect headset for many people, but this is not like pizza, not everyone will like it.

These Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones are incredible. They're comfortable, they sound great and the noise cancelling is second to none. When you open the box, there's a QR code to link to the app if you need to download it. I already had it from previous Bose headphones and earbuds, so it opened up. It paired to the headset and and really needs no customization. It walked through some instructions and gave the choice for what I want the multi purpose button to do. I chose to scroll through the listening modes. I chose quiet as the default and as my title says, the noise cancelling is the best. Bose always has the best noise cancellation. It makes the sound so much better when there's less ambient sound. The ear cups are large enough to fit most ears, I'd say. I have bigger ears and they fit inside well. They're very comfortable and they stay comfortable for a long time. I tested the immersive mode and it's very good. I listen in still or motion always. After I adjusted the equalizer to my liking, the immersive modes make it even better. I have had a lot of excellent headphones and these rise to the top. The sound is there with any of them, but I think the noise cancelling pushes it slightly ahead of the others, especially for at home or quiet time listening. Any time you need to block out the world, these are the best. I would recommend them to anyone.

Context: I'm no audiophile, but I do seem to be a "headphone/earbud-phile" and am in possession of and/or tested several sets that I can now compare & contrast. My test environments are generally either during periods of activity (sometimes indoor, sometime outdoor) and in my current 50% work from home and 50% in the office environments. As far as over the ear ANC headphones go, the Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) are definitely the best I've used! They're lighter and noticeably more comfortable than either of the other name brand pairs that I have. I just got done testing the ANC on the constant HVAC hum behind me all day long and the Bose also most effectively cancel the drone. Also of note- in my home office, most everything is hard-wired. The Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) allow me to both connect to my docking station AND charge the headphones at the same time with one cord. My other pairs run audio with a 3.5 to 3.5 cord and also require use a USB-C to USB-C charger. Back to not being an audiophile- both music and audiobooks/podcasts sound great on the Bose. via the Bose app, EQ settings are available to personalize and the aware/quiet/immersion settings provide a variety of listening modes to suit whatever environment or use case may be needed

These are Bose headphones. Bose is one of the most storied names in high-fidelity audio and has been for decades. I therefore expected a high-quality experience with these, and I was not disappointed. To me, the two features that matter with any pair of over-the-ear headphones are sound quality and comfort, and these headphones meet and exceed these expectations. These are really some of the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever worn. You barely know that they’re there. As far as sound quality? Tops. The noise-cancelling feature, which I use all the time with any pair of headphones that offers it, is top notch. The sound itself is superb, with a rich bass and crisp high notes. I could have these on all day and never tire of them. Controls are simple. Pair the phones by Bluetooth, and then controls are for volume level and noise-cancelling mode selection. There is also an app available for these headphones, but it doesn’t give you much more control over them than just using the buttons on the phones themselves. Plus, I find it much easier to simply reach up to the buttons and make an adjustment than to pull out my phone, load the app, and make the adjustments. Highly recommended.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones 2nd Gen does what Bose does best; that is, cancel ambient noises for quiet comfort. I was amazed by how much ambient noise that it blocked out just by putting it on even before turning it on or having it connected to an audio source. Once turned on and listening to music at a moderately low volume, all I heard was blissful music. When my wife calling me while I had the headphones on, I couldn't even hear her until she came over and startled me by tapping me on my shoulder. When I looked up, all I saw was her lips moving and the only sound was music through the heaphones. I wouldn't have expected this much noise cancellation given the sleek profile of this over the ear headphone. Other Bose noise canceling headphones as well as other brands that I have were really huge and bulky and were not as good in canceling noise as this QuietComfort 2nd Gen. Speaking of music, this is one area that the QuietComfort 2nd Gen be a bit weak on. The treble and midrange were good but the bass didn't come across that well. The drum tracks on the songs that I was listening to were a bid low and muddy. I tried to played around with the equalizer on the app that can be downloaded but still really couldn't get much improvement by upping the bass. It was just louder muddy bass. I am by no means an audiophile but I just wanted a bit stronger bass from this headphone; so, your personal preferences may find this headphome to be perfectly fine in the bass department. Took and made a few phone calls using the QuietComfort and worked really well. The noise cancellation of ambient noise made it easy to hear the other person and the other side had no problem hearing me speak either.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) Review -Going forward in reverse- Bose has a strong history of providing quality audio gear for years now. I know there are several, but I would always rank Bose near the top of the heap when it comes down to the quality of the sound in their headphones. For the last few years I have been using other premium headphones, but when I came across the Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) I had to try these out to see how in 2026, they compare to other headphones of similar quality in the $300+ premium category. How did they do? Well….there is good news and bad news. Let's start with the good, shall we? Audio/Software I am happy to report that as far as audio is concerned, the sound these headphones produce is great! I personally have nothing but praise for the actual audio and options the Bose app gives you for options in how that sound will be. For example, there are several modes you can use for different scenarios (bus, library, movie etc.). There is also a mode where the audio will continue to sound as it is right in front of you, even when turning your head. I’m not sure what I would really use that for, but it's interesting. I have included some pictures to show the app in action. Lastly, I have synced these headphones up to multiple sources and they connect immediately. They can connect to 2 different sources at the same time as well. There is only 1 negative here and that is the lack of directions when setting up for the first time was slightly infuriating to go through. The only direction hinted at is printed on the box the headphones came in and not very good at that. I don't think it would have hurt them to spend just a bit more time being more thorough for new users. Hardware The last few days with them, starting with my initial reaction taking them out of the carry case, I feel Bose has taken steps backwards in the hardware department. The case itself seems fine to carry and store them, though I would have preferred just a bit more room and not so snug as putting them back in there was trial and error. Why? Well unfortunately Bose has decided to go with a design that incorporates hinges to fold and twist to fit into the case itself. While I can understand that they wanted to give room for different angles for comfort for different styles of users, this leads to the headset feeling very wonky and not very sturdy to hold. There is a nice cushion for the ears, though not very strong at all. Behind that is hard plastic that gives off a cheap vibe for the $350+ that these cost. Another thing that caught me off guard was the controls on the headset are all physical buttons and a switch, no swiping here at all. For the price Bose is selling these for, I was expecting something more modern. Don’t get me wrong, they work just fine. I can see a portion of people who would prefer this, so take it or leave it on your personal preference. For connections, Bose included two wires: a male to male type-C & a 3.5 mm headjack to type-C adapter. I have never seen this adapter ever included in headphones before. As it turns out, I watched some movies with them as an adapter and they worked well. With this adapter, I was able to plug the headjack into the monitor I’m using (speakerless) and the Type-C into the headphones. This worked out and was able to still get great sound out of the phones. Conclusion While Bose continues to excel in the audio department, they seemed to take steps back in the hardware department unfortunately. Staying with physical buttons and hinges that make them feel overall cheaply made, especially for the price Bose is asking for with the MSRP. I have to say that for 2026, Bose seems to be going forward in reverse. I hope that they will work on a sturdier build for their next quiet comfort headphones. I am giving them a 3/5 score out of 5 as there are better options for the price point.

Decent noise cancelling, though I think past models were better. I don’t notice a huge difference between immersion and quiet modes though. I was able to listen to audio at a medium volume with minimal to no breakthrough of ambient noise in the room (home theater setup) Power button is integrated with the Bluetooth switch and not obviously marked. The sound clarity and range is phenomenal. Comparing these to my Bowers Wilkins home speakers with subwoofer these headphones demonstrated better bass range or at least more pronounced and that says a lot as my home system is not weak. They are comfortable, but I dislike that the onboard controls are not intuitive. You need to read the manual or rely heavily on the Bose app in my opinion. There are some customizable noise canceling options in the app, but I did not find them helpful or useful. Bluetooth connectivity was fairly simple, but does require adding to the Bose app on your smart device prior to pairing. For reference, I tested sound with Evanescence-My Immortal, Metallica-One, and Seether -Nobody Praying for me. I could clearly hear the men speaking in the combat zone for One as well as noting the guitar highs and drum/bass lows. My immortal features Amy Lee’s broad vocal range and Seether shows some good mids.
