A very poor showing for Bose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are nice when they work properly, but unfortunately "when they work properly" is a big problem. For starters, every time you put these in your ears THEY YELL AT YOU TO TELL YOU THE BATTERY LEVEL! Yes, it is max volume, it doesn't save a previous volume setting or let you configure it, and it waits until it senses that it is in your ear so it can yell at you. In addition, I have no idea why Bose has made yet another app for these earbuds instead of using one of their already existing apps. This new app is worse than the others I've used in the past, and leaving the app installed after you set the earbuds up can cause frequent connectivity drops. Speaking of connectivity drops, they also have a battery saving feature that is horribly buggy. One or the other earbud will fairly regularly go into power saving mode while using them. (It's a constant issue with the app installed, less frequent, but still often when it is not installed) Sometimes a gesture will wake it back up, other times you have to put both earbuds back in the case and pull them back out. Either way, it's really annoying. The worst part is, even if they do put out a firmware update to fix the power save issue, I would never know because the app is the only way to update the firmware, and the app causes additional issue. Bottom line: skip these. The sound is pretty good, and the battery life is better than other models, but the constant frustration of using them outweighs the good things.

DO NOT LOSE YOUR BUDS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from the Galaxy family and was expected to get blown away. Unfortunately, the equalizer isn't as easy and intuitive as the Sony connect apps. However, the noise cancelling is TOP NOTCH. The package comes with wings for an extra secure fit to make sure the buds do not budge. Sadly, the oval shape of the ear tips does cause some pressure and pain after long periods of usage. Also, do not lose your buds. The QCE app that Bose directs you to use does not have any GPS tracking or even shows the last BlueTooth connection. It streamlines the set up to make using your buds faster and easier but gets rid of something that I consider a basic and necessary feature. You are basically on your own if your buds are not connected to the phone. Good luck finding them.

Great Sound but Poor Connectivity
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The noise cancelling and sound quality are superb on these earbuds. Noise cancelling blocks out pretty much the surrounding environment and I really enjoy the quality of sound these put out. However, the major downside to these earbuds are the connectivity and phone call quality. The earbuds sometimes would not connect to my phone when I place them in my ear. They wouldn’t even turn on. Almost all the time they would turn off when I have them in my ear. Occasionally they would reconnect but most of the time I would have to take them out of my ear, put them back in their case, and back in my ear. And the cycle would happen every so often. Phone calls with these earbuds are also very poor. The other person will have a very hard time hearing you if you use these during a call. They say they hear a lot of background noise and hardly your voice. They only work well if you’re in a very quiet environment and you’re talking with an elevated voice. I really wish Bose would address the issues but until then, I may look for a different product.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The earplugs have great sound. HOWEVER like all BOSE earplugs they have an inherent DEFECT where after some months the Right plug loses volume or any sound at all. This is known to Bose and widely discussed on the internet. I always buy the Warranty which I always use and Best Buy always honors it. I have bought Many dozens of Bose earbuds mostly from Best Buy. Since I understand Best Buy keeps the cost of the warranty, it shouldn’t care about Bose’s deliberate ignorance of the Defect. If Best Buy has to pay Bose then it should say something. That said, I have spent hours talking to Bose and nothing acknowledged or done. I doubt anyone will read thisButif someone does go on AI and ask about this defect and whether Bose is aware of it

Posted .Hello Mark, we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention and thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to know you enjoy the remarkable sound quality of our Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, and we value having loyal customers like you.
We’re very sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with one of the earbuds. While our QuietComfort Earbuds are designed to deliver outstanding audio performance, there are several factors that can affect functionality. For example, if the stability band is not aligned correctly, the earbud may not fit properly in the case, which can prevent it from working. Additionally, if the charging pins have been damaged due to a fall, the connection between the charging unit and the earbuds may be lost, causing charging issues.
To help resolve this, we recommend reviewing our troubleshooting guide through this link: https://bit.ly/4qNQLTm which provides detailed steps to address these concerns. We hope this helps improve your experience and allows you to continue enjoying the most out of your Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. If the issue continues even after following the troubleshooting guide, please contact our customer support team through this link:https://bose.life/contactus They’ll be more than happy to provide further assistance and discuss available service options. Not up to standards.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is great when it’s quiet in the room. The noise cancelling is fair at best when playing music. When on a call it’s airy. Connectivity: better not move past 30 feet from your phone . Controls are minimal from the earbuds and anything can change a setting by brushing up against the earbud. They are not magnetic and will roll everywhere not staying together like other brands. I am disappointed by this model in comparison to other Bose products that I’ve had in the past.

Posted .Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear you're enjoying the sound quality! We'd love the chance to help improve your experience with the QuietComfort Earbuds. Just a quick note, the Bluetooth range of the QuietComfort Earbuds is up to 30 feet (9 meters), but this can be affected by things like walls, interference, or other devices.
As for the touch controls, you can easily manage them through the Bose app:
1. Open the app and connect your earbuds.
2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
3. Go to Settings > Shortcuts > Touch Controls.
From there, you can toggle them on or off, or even set up voice control.

Seek Better Value Elsewhere
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They sound alright and they fit well enough, but I’ve been largely unimpressed with them compared to their price point. My biggest complaints are the battery life on both the earbuds and the case. I get about 5 hrs on the earbuds and maybe 3 full charges for my earbuds in the case before I have to charge that too, which I’ve had cheaper earbuds of various brands out perform. If you want to be able to use these for phone calls as well, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. My wife has told me I’m near impossible to understand while using these to speak.

Pairing Issues Tanks the "Affordable" Option
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh man, when put next to Bose's Ultra model these just don't compare. I expected a slight difference in noise cancellation and sound quality--which I think there was--but the pairing/connectivity issues were really the reason these were not worth keeping. They are a decent option if you are looking for something more affordable within the Bose family... but I feel like there has to be a model under a different brand that skips over the pairing issues and has comparable sound in a similar price range. I will be going for to the QuietComfort Ultra (2nd gen) next.

We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad to know you’ve noticed how effective the earbuds are at shutting out noise, they’re designed to consistently block distractions so you can focus on what matters most.
To get the best feel, we recommend toggling between Quiet Mode (for full noise cancellation) and Aware Mode (to let in some of your surroundings). As for the connection issue, it may be due to the earbuds not being in proper pairing mode or other setup factors. Not impressed at all
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got them brand new. Left earbud would not always connect and I would have to turn it off and on again, sometimes several times. It was really annoying to switch between modes (you cycle between noise canceling, aware, and off). Gestures overall are a bit clunky— either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. Not impressed, especially for the price. I ended up returning them two weeks later to get something better.

Dont Get if Mostly Used Outside
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, the good parts… Sound is amazing, customizable EQ, ability to customize 8 (4 per ear) touch conteols. However, the bad is unfortunately too negative (for me). Everytime i use them, the audio cuts/chops/skips at least twice within the first 10 min of use. Touch controls are finicky—it often fails to register the correct number of taps; volume cannot be controlled eith a finger slide like on the Sport Earbuds. Also like the Sport, the case has no “pairing mode” button, so any disconnects require putting them back innthe case to reset. And the worst - wind interference. Quiet (noise cancel) mode is completely unusable outside; any wind creates loud, persistent, inexcusable crackling aounds. Aware Mode is slightly btter, but still awful. Off(?) mode us the onlt one even tolerable while using outsife. I want to like these, but the price is nowhere close to being justified considering the flaws.

Posted .I'm happy to hear you like the sound and customisable EQ options of your QuietComfort Earbuds! If you find that audio playback is skipping, one quick thing to try is rebooting your mobile device, which can clear up such problems. While the touch controls can be a little unfamiliar to begin with, you should get used to them with use. As for windy environments, I would suggest using Off mode temporarily here, which may also be useful for hearing other sounds around you clearly. I hope this information is useful! Many issues!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two sets one for me and one for my wife. She has had no issues. I tend to only wear one at a time. So that I can hear my wife talking to me lol when we’re sitting next to each other. I believe this causes them to not be in sync. Going on 3 months I cannot get the right side to sync up. The magnets to the case do not work on the right side. This is my first bose earpods. I have always bought apple air pods and never had these issues. I also like the sounds from the apple air pods. So Im a little disappointed and wish that I had stuck with the apple airpods.

Posted .Hi Being50, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that you’ve been dealing with syncing issues and trouble with the right earbud connecting properly. That definitely shouldn’t be happening, especially after just a few months of use.
Wearing just one earbud at a time should work smoothly, so we appreciate you letting us know that your experience has been different. It sounds like the right earbud may not be making a proper connection in the case, and that can affect both charging and syncing. We definitely know how that must feel, especially when your wife’s pair is working perfectly, and we’d really like to help get things back on track for you.

Great while they lasted
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had these headphones for 2 months before the case stopped working on me. When i put the headphones back in the case they wouldn’t disconnect from my phone so i had to constantly turn my Bluetooth on and off which was inconvenient for my other devices. If you are looking to get these, i would strongly suggest paying a little extra to get the warranty. Im glad i did. They were good headphones but for $150 they for sure need to last longer than 2 months

Gotta pass on them
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I loved these earbuds however as soon as I went outside to wear them the WIND NOISE was unbearable. They fit great and didn’t fall out and didn’t hurt my ears but man the noise from the wind was so tough. Even with changing the setting to immersive or quite/aware mode. Nothing helped it. So unless you’re sitting inside wearing them don’t get these. You can’t use them outside at all unless maybe it’s a perfectly still sunny day.
