    Bose Absolutely Ruined Them

Bought these because I already had a pair that I liked and it was time to upgrade. All the things I loved about these headphones, the voice prompt stating battery levels, what device they were paired to and the soft tones, have now been removed by Bose, replaced by harsh tones and no way to find out where the headphones are connected. Basically removing the reasons I liked them in the first place. I am now here on Best Buy seeing if I can trade them in for Bowers and Wilkins headphones like I bought my husband. I used my Bose everywhere, every day to help drown out noises that irritated me and to watch things on my laptop, tablet and even the tv. Until I can find out how to get rid of these, I am using the B&W ones since it still has nice tones and a voice (British too!) to tell me what I need to know, which is very important. Our household is now a NO BOSE household, while before this, we both have had a few sets of Bose products. DO NOT BUY!

Product is Great… Best Buy Sucks

Again.. Product is fantastic. However Best Buy wouldn’t price match when on their own site the price lowered. The answer that they gave me was because I bought it online and traded in an old pair I wasn’t eligible for price match. Whatever.. And then I tried writing a review for a garbage Gamesir G7 Pro and how they knew it had issues. They wouldn’t let me write the review. And the last straw. They really don’t identify their 3rd party sellers and how awful most of them are. You can’t even purchase a protection plan on most of the goods sold through them. Best Buy has gotten cheap and shady and I’m thankful I never have to choose them as a retailer again.

Honestly prefer the gen 1 sound profile and the anc was already good so the slight improvement isn’t worth the upgrade if you currently have gen 1

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen). It’s totally valid to feel that way, many users grow attached to the sound signature of their original gear, and if the improvements in ANC and audio tuning don’t feel significant to you, sticking with Gen 1 makes sense. Your feedback is valuable and helps us understand what matters most to listeners like you. Terrible product, its mindblowing all these people didnt catch a huge flaw with these. Gen 1 uses full power anc on quiet mode and immersion modes(not aware mode), but gen 2 uses adaptive(which gen 1 supposedly uses, but uses it right anyway)which means changing at all times, but these people dont notice because the anc is still at 50 perecnt and the music is loud enough so they dont know its lowering your anc at all times and making it so i hear backgound noise all the time. Stick with gen 1 unless u dont care about anc stability. To check this put on quiet mode and then quickly play a song at medium volume, then quickly pause and listen to the anc change, no way to change this. Dumbest pair of headphones i ever bought, super bummed.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your thoughts. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) are obsessively engineered with our best noise cancellation and spatialized audio for immersive listening. They make every note expand, every piece of dialogue hit harder, and every melody feel more spacious. You can also adjust the noise cancellation of the headphones using the Bose app. If you’re having difficulties making adjustments, you can check out this helpful guide: https://bose.life/4pLOYOH

As someone who was upgrading from the First gen. I'm actually disappointed in some ways how this is a downgrade. First off the ear cuffs were somehow more uncomfortable than the last model and I was starting to feel pain around the ear and in turn, was starting to get a headaches from wearing it, and what makes it even worst is that I bought 3rd party replacements for the ear cushions on the gen 1 and that gave me a better cushion than the new ones. And because I'm upgrading from the previous version, there is no one to justify paying again over 450 dollars for a worst version of headphones in terms of comfort. And the fact that the Gen 2 should not even be called gen 2, this a gen 1.5 upgrade that's somehow charging the price of a new version. Deeply disappointed this time around.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Kevin! We’re really sorry to hear the comfort didn’t meet your expectations. Both the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and the 2nd generation model use the same ear cushion material. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we’d love the chance to help make things right.
