Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the excellent sound quality, exceptional battery life, and overall comfort of these headphones. While users appreciate the lightweight design and reliable connectivity, some have noted minor challenges regarding the button layout and the effectiveness of the active noise cancellation. Additionally, a few individuals mentioned that the fit can feel slightly loose and that the ear cups may retain heat during extended use.

They sound amazing! The latest update addressed my concerns of always announcing which devices are connected. The battery lasts long and the app is easy to use. My only complaint is the automatic head detection. If you're laying down, it'll pause the music/video. I had to turn it off. Otherwise, they're great. If you're coming from Airpods, these can only connect to 2 devices at a time, so you'll have to manually reconnect each time you use a device that isn't one of the last 2 you used.

The Bose Ultra 2 is a massive win. The noise cancellation is terrifyingly good—it completely deletes the world around you. Sound quality is rich and detailed. They are also the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever owned; I can wear them all day without any ear fatigue. The build quality feels sturdy and high-end. Highly recommended for frequent travelers or day users. Already purchased this for my brother as well and he also loves them so much.

The headphones were in great condition when I received them. The sound is on the balanced side with slight emphasis on the bass but is it perfect for me. As the name suggests they are super comfortable and ANC is amazing. If I had to say anything negative it would only be they are not made for the gym, a small sacrifice for comfort the clamp force is not strong enough for heavy lifting.

Honestly I’d say these are almost 5 star. I really love how comfortable they are and love the color. I was debating between these and Apple. I already have the Quiet Comfort Ear Buds and LOVE those but wanted something that also wasn’t in my ear for a little different effect for how the sound feels. I just wish it had an addition 1-2 buttons for changing modes on the other side and would have preferred maybe a button for sounds rather than a touch slider as it’s not the most efficient as changing volume I prefer to change volume from my phone.

They are so comfortable on my head, sound quality is great, with the app you are able to tune the equalizer to your taste which I really love, the 4 different listening modes each have their own different use cases. Although I wish the noise canceling was slightly better.

I was debating between Sony and Bose, I went into Best Buy to try both headphones and Bose was the clear winner for me. Great sound, great noise cancellation, clear audio and comfortable to wear.

Great anc and sound. In my experience, it blocks out more noise than the Sony XM6. Battery life is great and comfort is unmatched.

I was very excited when I was finally able to save up for these headphone. I have been a bose customer for a a few years. Bose headphones were my go to headphones until they weren't. After falling in love with my Sony XM5, I wanted to see what the hype was about with the Ultra Gen 2 headphone. I ended up saving money and buying them. I ended up returning them in less then 24 hours. The sound quality was great, the ANC were not. I always test headphones with my box fan in my room. I coukd still hear my box fan with ANC on. It just muted it. With all the hype, I had hope Bose ANC would have came a lot further by 2026. My Sony XM5 ANC is 100x better. Maybe I got a bad pair, but this is why I left Bose and went to Sony before.

Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear that you found the sound quality of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) to be great.

That said, we're sorry to learn that the noise cancellation performance did not meet your expectations and that your experience led you to return the headphones within such a short period. We understand how disappointing that can be, especially after saving up for a purchase and being excited to try a product that you've heard so much about.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) feature our most advanced noise cancellation technology and immersive spatial audio experience, along with next-generation ActiveSense technology designed to help smooth sudden spikes in environmental noise. Additionally, the Bose app allows users to create custom listening modes and adjust the level of noise cancellation to match their personal preferences and listening environments.

We understand that you've already returned the headphones. However, should you decide to give Bose another opportunity in the future, we've included a helpful guide that provides tips for optimizing noise cancellation performance and getting the most out of the available ANC settings.  https://bose.life/4pcyLmf

Thank you again for your honest feedback. Comments like yours help us better understand our customers' experiences and identify areas where we can continue to improve. We appreciate the opportunity to hear your perspective and hope to have the chance to restore your confidence in Bose in the future.

Great sound quality. Little loose on the head. If you wear glasses it tends push the sides of the glasses into your head. If the headphones were redesigned to give space for glasses that would be really nice. Also a slightly tighter fit. It also disconnects from my iPhone when someone calls me I have to manually select that I want to use my headphones or it will default to using my phone. I would say the sound quality is great. I tried Sonos headphones and was very disappointed after owning and using these Bose headphones. I would say they are overpriced for sure but everything is. The QC and QCU series 1 are a good option if on sale.

After returning the previous supposedly open box, excellent pair of these headphones at Best Buy I was able to find another good deal on open box on Bose ultra comfort, headphones, GEN two. I went to the store to pick them up since I had them delivered to the store, and had the customer service lady opened them up with me to inspect them to make sure that the item matched the label description, which was open box excellent. Big difference from the other headphones the cables were there, they weren’t open, and the headphone pads had nowhere whatsoever. I decided to return them only because I had just purchased the new AirPods Pro 3 buds that have an improved noise, cancellation and other improvements over the GEN two AirPods Pro. I know they are not on the same level as Bose or Sony or Apple’s headphones, but decided to wait and maybe pick up a better deal when Black Friday or cyber Monday rolls around.

I use these everyday to help manage my TBI induced tinnitus. The ANC function works very well. The build quality is quite good and they come with a carrying case that takes the worry out of traveling with them. Could you get the same features from a different manufacturer? Probably. Would they be any better? Maybe. One thing is for sure, they could be a lot worse. My old headphones claimed to have noise cancelling and they were even close to these. I realize the Sony's get better reviews but I did not like the design and they didn't seem as well made. I will admit the ANC did seem noticeablely better but I couldn't get past the fit and finish.

I love them! I went to find gym headphones and found these. They will not be used for the gym but instead for everything else. The sound quality is amazing. The fit is perfect for me and I love the modes and immersive audio options. I like that it stops whatever Im listening to when i move them off my ear and that they automatically switch between my phone and computer without any extra work.

I have been a fan of Bose and Bose headsets and even worked to get them into the army inventory for armored vehicle crewman helmets. This is the best ever. It is intuitive and effective. I can put them in and have telecon in Dulles airport as well as where them on the plan for both entertainment and hearing protection (and to drown out crying babies).
