Disappointed

So i decided to buy the newer model, but when in quiet a mood right side have static noise and battery life is horrible. Very disappointed and no longer a bose fan.

Posted .I'm so sorry to hear of your disappointment with your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds! While the battery performance is 6 hours with Immersive Audio off, and 4 hours with Immersive Audio on, don't forget that the charging case will supply up to a further 18 hours of charge, keeping your earbuds nicely topped up. As for the "static noise" you mentioned, in some quiet environments you may be able to hear a faint digital audio artifact. This happens when noise cancelling is on high and you're not listening to music. This sound should be faint in volume, and it is normal. I hope this information helps! Ignore the BOSE Responses , the left ear is faulty

The issue is the left earbud. Bose is pasting a cookie cutter response which does not have to do with this product. Its a known issue and instead of saying its a badly engineered product they have you go through hoops to no avail. When its quiet you hear the static, digital sound only in the left ear. Check online in other forums as well.

Also, there is a high-pitched squeak in the ear, which is unacceptable and damaging to hearing. In addition, the battery warning voice and sounding system is very annoying.

If you feel the noise cancelling isn't working as it should be, then make sure "ActiveSense" is turned off in the app. This setting activates noise cancelling, but only whenever any loud noises near you are detected. You can also turn off the battery voice prompts in the app, by going to Settings > Preferences and then selecting the "Voice Prompts" option. As for the high-pitched squeak you mentioned, we'd like to take a closer look at that, to see if it's expected behavior or not. Great sound, not great microphone for the cost

Regarding your concern about using a single earbud, we understand the importance of flexibility. This is why the earbuds Ultra can be used independently for both listening to music and Phone Calls. For optimal Noise Cancellation, we do however recommend using both buds.

Defective ear buds

I'm not even touching my headphones/ears and its changing. I'm not sure why it does this. Also, there is a cracking noise in one earbud that makes it seem defective. This started within the 1st month of using them and It comes and goes during my workouts. I'm really disappointed.

Static and not great service

When they did arrive the did not work. They had a lot of static on both ears. I reached out to Best Buy for replacements. I was told I would have them in 1 day. I returned the bad ones and it’s been well over a week and still no replacements. Best Buy has been extremely challenging at best to deal.
