Older models are better
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too finnicky, the headphones are bulky and not ergonomic with the ear canal. Dont wear a hat with them or your music will constantly shut off or switch. Dont touch them or your music will shut off, and you better put them in right because they cant sense properly when theyre in youe ear, overall a big mess..

Posted .Hi.
Thank you for posting. If you do not want to accidentally stop your music, you can disable the shortcuts on the earbuds. Please refer to this page. https://bose.life/473AIqs. Also, there is an In-ear detection feature that uses sensors to identify when you’re wearing the earbuds. You can automatically play/pause audio, answer phone calls (if enabled), and adjust noise cancellation (QC Earbuds only) by inserting or removing an earbud. If you require further assistance, please reach out to us here. https://bose.life/3BgUIIU. We would love to help.

Stunning sound that is now my new go-to earbud!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose hit the ball out of the park this time with their new Ultra Earbuds! I have a thing for higher-end earbuds and have amassed quite the collection of brands. In the past, I found Bose to be be too bass heavy with their earbuds and headphones, while their noise isolation has always been at the very top. I have enjoyed my existing Bose products but resorted to another brand for my everyday go-to pair. Well I think that has now changed with the introduction of these new Ultra earbuds. They come packaged with several sizes of oval silicone ear tips and stability bands so you can fine tune your fit. I found the large size fits best with my ears. I doubled checked their fit using the Earbud Seal Test in the connected Bose Music App. They fit neatly in their black charging case and there is also a USB A to USB C charge cable included that you'll need. The case does NOT offer cordless charging, which I thought was a bit odd for such premium of a product. The earbuds are a black gloss with a brushed metal touch panel that juts out a bit more than most compact earbuds out there, but that really isn't an issue. It gives me more touch surface where I can play, pause, fast forward, rewind and change the volume. If you long press the touch panel, you can switch the noise cancelling modes and The Bose Music app allows you the opportunity to customize those modes. What sets the Ultra apart from its predecessor is that Bose has introduced their version of spatial audio. It's called Immersion mode and it makes all your music have much more depth. It's quite impressive and my music sounds fantastic with this activated. In the app, you can select to have the sounds play from a fixed point or from a moving point, depending on where your head is turned. These earbuds also offer world-class noise cancellation. I couldn't believe how powerful the NC is in such a small earbud. In Quiet mode, music plays in typical stereo, and then there's Immersion mode that I just mentioned. It also allows sound pass through in Aware mode. There is a custom equalizer in the app that allows you to fine tune the earbuds to your specific taste. I was able to cut down the typically overly strong Bose bass and now they sound just right. I've yet to test them with wind noise and plan on taking them on a bike ride shortly. I hope their incredible NC also helps in this department. They are IPX4 water resistant so I should be fine using them for biking or other sporting activities. I believe the battery life is stated to be around 6 hours in regular mode, or 4 hours in Immersion mode. The case also stores enough to allows 3 additional full charges and theres a quick charge that gives 2 hours of play time with just a 20 minute charge. These earbuds are built with Bluetooth 5.3, giving you about 30 feet of wireless range. These new Ultra buds are also Google Fast Pair capable in case you use that. So far, Im very impressed with these Ultra earbuds and I am really enjoying how the Immersion mode expands the depth of my songs. They're comfortable, fit well and I'm looking forward to putting them through their paces with my morning walks and weekend biking trips. I can honestly say they have now replaced my go-to favorite earbuds. Well done, Bose!

Best noise cancelling ear buds I've ever tried
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always enjoyed Bose products. This pair of ear buds is a big improvement over my older Bose ear buds. I am really liking the new design. The double insulated ear bud is something new that I have never seen before. There is the typical tip that goes into your ear canal, then there is a larger piece of rubber that seals off the outside part of the ear bud. There are multiple sizes for both, but they fit me perfectly right out of the box. The ear bud plays a tone and tests the fit by playing the tone every time you insert them. I have used them in the office to listen to music while I work. I only keep one in my left ear and answer the phone with a headset on my left. I do put it back in the charging case during my lunch, but I think it would make it through the day without any trouble on a single charge. The range is probably the best of any ear buds I’ve ever used. I can walk out into our shop and leave my phone at my desk. The range in our building is probably close to 100’. If you have the Bose app on your smartphone you can make changes through the app. The modes you can change either by press and holding the earbud until you hear the next mode. There is Quiet, Aware & Immersion. If you use Aware, you can hear everything going on around you. The microphones allow you to hear everything around you. The other 2 modes are different levels of noise cancelling. The app allows you to see the state of charge for each earbud, change sources or adjust the EQ among other things. The EQ options are Bass Boost, Bass Reducer, Treble Boost or Treble Reducer. There is also a slider for Bass, Mid and Treble that you can adjust. There is an immersive audio setting that allows you to set it to still, motion or off. This adds depth to your music. If you play still and turn your head it sounds like the music changes where it is coming from. It is kind of a cool effect. There is a shortcut function that allows you to change the shortcut between cycling through modes, change immersive audio or access your voice assistant. There are a bunch of other things on the app, but those are the main things. I am very impressed with the noise cancelling function of these ear buds. When out walking along the road, I can barely hear vehicles driving by. I use them when mowing the lawn. I can hear my push lawnmower, but it is very quiet. Today while mowing the lawn my wife was yelling behind me not realizing I had my noise cancelling earphones on. I couldn’t hear her at all. The sound quality is excellent. My only minor complaint is that the touch controls are not perfect. Sometimes it takes me a couple of tries to pause the music or answer a call. Playing music generally works fine, but there is a 2-3 second delay from the time I press play. I have gotten used to that. The volume up and down works very well. I can adjust it up or down a little bit at a time.

They do exist! They fit, they really fit!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: These earbuds are amazing! They sound great, have the best noise cancellation I've ever heard, and they actually fit my ears and stay in, even during vigorous activity. Plus, they have fantastic battery life. The only downside is the design, which is a bit dated for 2023. The charging case also seems cheap and doesn't have wireless charging. Detailed Review: I've tried a lot of different earbuds in my time, but I've always had to buy custom tips to get them to stay in my ears. My current earbuds are held in place by the tips alone, and it's a terrible experience. I've even had to resort to using two different pairs of earbuds, one for everyday use and one for physical activity. That all changed when I got these Bose earbuds. They fit perfectly! They stay in my ears without any custom tips, and they sound amazing. The noise cancellation is also top-notch, and I can even pipe in ambient noise if I want to. I've used these earbuds on both my Android and iPhone, and the experience has been great. The only thing is that you can't pair them to both devices at the same time using just Bluetooth. You have to use the Bose Music app on your iPhone to set them up first. Once they're set up, you can pair them with other devices, but you'll need to use the iPhone app to manage the connection. What I mean by this is, you can't just pair them to any device once they've been associated with the Bose Music app. Once you add a new source (pairing them to another device) then they work like any old Bluetooth connection. As for build quality, the earbuds themselves seem great, but the case is a bit flimsy. It's made of plastic and has a rattle if you tap on it. Luckily the case can be purchased separately so if they do brake I'm not out of luck. The earbuds themselves also have a bit of an old-fashioned design. But none of that really matters, because these earbuds are simply amazing. Overall, I'm extremely happy with these Bose earbuds. They have everything I'm looking for in a pair of earbuds: great sound, noise cancellation, and a comfortable fit.
