I previously had the Apple AirPod Pro's and moved to these. Pros: The spectrum of frequencies you can hear with the Bose is definitely noticeable, especially in the low end. The noise cancelation is serious. Overall fitment is better than any other earbud I've tried - I think this is partly due to the outer rubber strip/ring that essentially helps seal off your inner ear from your ear drum. Battery life is amazing so far. Micro USB to charge. Cons: It doesn't appear that the single tap and double tap features for both the L and R ear bud have as much configurability as the Air Pods; can't program the L bud to go back to the previous song with a double tap from my understanding. The Bose Music app is just ok. My iPhone does occasionally have troubles connecting via bluetooth to the headphones.

Hello Hugo, if the standard sets of ear tips and stability bands that come with the earbuds do not fit well, I recommend that you check out the alternate sized ear tip kit that provides an extra small and extra large set of ear tips and stability bands. Great earbuds. Sound is very clear and bass is amazing. They are comfortable and stay in place. I have to say that visually they look dated. Also sound is very low when on calls, I don't know why is that.

Insane Sound, Great Design, Flimsy Case Lid

Is this product worth $300? No. Is this one of the best sounding earbuds on the market? YES! Very dynamic sound with clean frequencies that are well balanced. Gotta love Bose. Do they fit good? Yes. They grip in my ear with a silicone gusset that fits into the ear around the opening AND it has wings, I need the wings since I wear them everywhere. They are also lightweight, sleek and inline the ear and head, lots of control options by touching the bud and the app allows you to further customize your sound. But….the headphone case has a similar lid and hinge to the airpods. I have put my airpods case through a lot and it is still sturdy. On this case the plastic lid is flimsy and the hinge is not very broad and feels week when i put a little stress on it. Even if i can charge the buds without the top of the case, this flaw alone makes these buds not worth it for me.

Bose has outdone themselves here with this new ultra QuietComfort earbud! I have owned many high-end earbuds from different manufacturers all in the 250 – 350-dollar range. I have to say, with clarity, that these are the best of the best and better than the previous iteration of Bose QuietComfort earbuds. Unboxing this product showed minimalistic packaging which I certainly appreciated. Inside the packaging are the earbuds in the charging case, quick start guide and very short usb-c cable to charge. Fitting these earbuds to my own ear size was simple – I tried all three sizes included but the medium size that are installed on arrival were the best and most comfortable. Getting these up and running was a breeze and while there are numerous ways to get these connected to the phone, I chose to do it through the Bose music app as recommended. I simply scanned the QR code inside the packaging and it gets you to the app set up. All in all, it took about 3 minutes to get them connected and once connected, there is a simple tutorial on how to use the various features. Operating the earbuds is extremely simple from volume control (swipe up or down on the unit), play /pause (single tap) skipping forward to the next track (double tap), previous track (triple tap) etc. Answering phone calls that come in – single tap to answer, double tap to end I chose a shortcut for each earbud which operates by a simple single long tap– the left earbud set to cycle through the noise cancel modes (Quiet, Aware, Immersion or custom setting)– the right earbud cycles though the Immersive Audio modes (Still, Motion, Off). Noice cancellation – simply unbelievable! For full noise cancellation I like the NC set to Immersion with the Immersive audio set to Motion. I can then listen to music in Immersive Audio with the benefit of full noise cancellation. When I need to be able to hear my surroundings, I long press my left earbud to set noise cancellation to Aware. Simply works beautifully. Sound – Again – just amazing. I took a few hours to set my own equalizer settings that I personally like. Out of the box, the sound is wonderful but a bit base heavy for my taste. Through the app, one can dial in the sound to their own personal preference. This of course will be different for everyone, but I am confident everyone should be able to get the sound they desire. Battery – Just about exactly what Bose stated they would be – 4 hours if listening with Immersive Audio – 6 hours if this is toggled off. Recharging was adequate and you can get to 50% in 20 minutes or so, full charge about 50 minutes. The case holds 3 extra charges. The case cannot charge wirelessly (unless you buy the $50 wireless charging case cover) but does have USB-C. Immersive Audio – An industry first! When set to Motion - Audio sounds like it is coming from two stereo speakers in front of you that follow the movements of your head (Use for the most consistent experience. Best for when you are doing activities that require you to frequently turn your head or look down). When set to Still - Audio sounds like it's coming from two stereo speakers in front of you that stay where they are when you move your head (Use for the most realistic and powerful experience. Best for when you're stationary). When set to Off - Audio sounds like it's coming from your earbuds (Use when you want a classic listening experience or want to conserve battery life). I personally like Immersive Audio On – either Motion or Still – yes uses more battery but it sounds amazing! In short – these are simply superb and definitely worth the dollar amount if it fits your budget. My only negative – at this price point, the case should be capable of wireless charging. You will not be disappointed by this offering from Bose.

If you love music, you'll love Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. They are the best wireless earbuds for blocking out the noise and immersing yourself in the sound. They use amazing technology to make your music sound more real and natural, and to fit your ears perfectly. You can listen for hours without worrying about the battery, and you can control everything with the Bose Music app. These earbuds will make you feel like you're in a concert hall, even if you're in a crowded bus. And here's a joke for you: What do you call a fish that wears earbuds? A pod-cast.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds make the seventeenth pair of headphones in my collection. I seem to collect headphones like some people collect shoes. I only started this madness two years ago. I think I might have a problem. Unlike every other electronic device in my possession for some reason headphones take the most abuse from me. My primary use case for them is to accompany me out on my daily workout runs. And I sweat. A lot. So getting drenched in sweat or getting soaked from a pop up rain storm, or falling out of my ear (ALL THE TIME) and rolling into the muck at the side of the trail, or falling out and bouncing on asphalt just seems to be the norm. It is annoying. Some take the abuse amazingly well, others break quickly. So let me share a few thoughts about what Bose has done well with the latest iteration of their flagship in-ear product. The earbuds are oddly shaped making it frustrating to get them in and out of the charging case. There’s only one good position for your thumb and index finger to grip them and it takes a lot of trial and error to sort that out. Putting them back in the case is equally annoying but the diminutive size is also the biggest appeal of these things. It’s kind of mind blowing how this much audio fidelity is possible in a device this small. In my opinion no one does noise cancellation better than Bose. Pilots, Nascar Pit crews, football coaches…. If you’re in a loud environment and you need noise cancellation, Bose is the device you’ll find all of these professionals wearing. To attempt to shrink down those massive over-the-ear headsets into something tiny that fits in your pocket is a work of modern engineering. And these earbuds do an amazing job at it! That is, if the tips fit in your ear canal. Bose includes small, medium, and large tips to choose from including three additional outer ring bands that work to close the seal in your ears. Once you’ve sorted out which tips and outer ring band works for your ears, head over to the Bose app for the ear-tip fit test. Each time you put on the earbuds you’ll get a startup chime and its worth checking out the immersive audio demo so you know what settings to use for that feature. I paired these to my Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and to my Google Android Pixel 6a and everything just works well and sounds amazing. Call quality on both listening and being understood on the other end of the line was excellent on both devices and I really have no complaints. If you are looking for today’s top-of-the-line earbud experience with noise cancellation this bud is for you.

    Another amazing, high-quality Bose product

The Bose - QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are another great, quality product in the long line of high-quality products from Bose. Upon opening the package, you will discover many different ear tips and stability bands are included to help you find just the right fit for your ears. The medium ear tips and small stability bands are installed by default and these actually ended up fitting me perfectly so I didn’t even need to change them but the fact that 3 different sizes for both the ear tips and stability bands are included is a pretty nice feature. Initial setup was really simple: just download and install the Bose Music app and then allow the app to search for nearby devices to add. Once it found the nearby Ultra earbuds, it quickly connected and took me through a setup process which was easy to follow. One of the cool parts of this process was the ability to run a test to make sure I had an optimal seal in my ears so I could experience the truly amazing active noise cancellation Bose QuietComfort earbuds are known for. The wide variety of tips and stability bands also makes wearing the earbuds for extended periods of time quite comfortable and I have not noticed any discomfort when wearing them for multiple hours at a time. Once everything was properly setup, I certainly was not disappointed. The sound is nice and crisp and the noise cancellation is unparalleled and this is all before even making use of the various customizations that can be made via the Bose Music app. One of the other things I really like about these Ultra earbuds are the touch controls which can be used on either earbud. Swiping up or down on the earbud to control the volume is really handy and I especially like the ability to turn the noise cancelling mode on and off by simply long pressing on either earbud. There is an additional listening mode called “Immersive Audio” which is supposed to make you feel surrounded by whatever you are listening to but I prefer just the standard stereo audio. Others may enjoy this feature more though and it certainly is not a negative that they included this new feature. The only slight downside I can come up with is the microphone quality when using the earbuds for phone calls. I was told my voice seemed to echo a little bit as if I was in the bathroom but it was still plenty clear enough for the person on the other end to understand what I was saying so this isn’t all that big of an issue. Overall, the Bose - QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are great, high-quality earbuds and I highly recommend them!

What an experience, I was impressed with my last earbuds, however I would be blown away by the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra ones. It really has many more things that I wanted desperately from my earbuds. Easy fit & mods, stays in the ears snuggly. Straight out of the box these Bluetooth Ear buds fit well over my ears. Although made for an IOS phone it is so good that it. ran its own app on the android phone to self install, went to the Play Store, installed the Play Store app, and then installed the app to run the Earbuds. And to my surprise, I was ready to rock'n'roll. The first thing that impressed me the most about the bose is its simplicity & functionality. With one tap you can set all the features that you need if you do it correctly. One swipe you can raise the volume and lower the volume. Physical Controls are remarkable. Something I did not see in any other earbuds. There are three general settings. Immersion. Quiet. Aware. These settings are all unique. Immersion. Locks in the depth of music when played. Quiet Silences the the world around you. And aware lets you hear whats going on in the outside world while playing tunes. The app can adjust the equalizers on all these modes and you could also get spatial features on immersion, although the special features are out of my realm. The built in noise cancellation feature is remarkable. The quality of sound is exceptional. And Immerson makes you feel like you have subwoofers in your ears. While listening to tunes. My phone rang. And I was able to pick it up with one tap on the earbuds so it can handle more than one Bluetooth request and prioritize phone calls on the phone and from the laptop (although win11 and the built in Phone link app may be involved) A feature that does have a problem is linked to my laptop computer getting it back to the Android Smartphone requires that I have to turn off one of the devices, which is a surefire way of getting it to work properly or go through a rigmarole of removing it from the laptops list. And reinstalling it causing disruptions to the phone, sometimes turning off one of the earbuds.

    Noise Canceling Done Right

Noise canceling without the hiss. Comfort for long sessions of use. Great EQ settings in the app. Loud bootup noise and bad sounding settings voice. I’ve been using the same noise canceling earbuds for 2-3 years and these Bose earbuds solve all of the problems I’ve experienced with those. I was astonished by the noise canceling quality the first time I put these into my ears and the noise from my PC tower faded away like someone changing a volume slider. For a second I thought my computer had turned off entirely. Absent was the background hiss of the noise canceling counter noise and replaced was a comfortable silence and muffled sounds from immediately around me. The buds come with several sizes of both earbuds and sealing rings that mesh with the area around your ear hole. The app performs a “seal test” in which it plays a sound that measures the amount of noise escaping from the around the ear. After three hours of use, my ears would be sore removing my old earphones. Now, it wasn’t painful at all thanks to the small form factor of the Bose earbuds. They also don’t climb up into the ear, but instead hang down, removing another pressure point. It does play a VOOM startup noise when first inserting them into your ears which is startling if you aren’t expecting it. And changing the settings from quiet, aware, and immersion triggers a low quality robot voice to tell you which setting you’ve selected. I wonder when we’ll get away from that sounding so bad. 9/10 product for these little quirks, but I won’t be going back to my old earbuds.

I've purchased numerous earbuds. For the price I honestly expected more. I've used them for gaming on my laptop, and with the different modes it makes the game hard to hear, and squad mates have trouble hearing your coms. They are comfortable, even though i still find earbuds irritating after long periods of wear. I do like the pass through mode, which is a life saver in the construction industry. The sound quality is good, but i feel like my JBLs were equal in sound and a lot cheaper. I guess I just expected more being they are twice as much as every comparable ear bud.

The name Bose is synonymous with quality. These earbuds definitely live up to the Bose name and reputation. I opened the packaging with high expectations. The case feels like quality. The buds fit in the case great with a strong magnet. Sometimes I have a tough time removing the bugs from the case. That's my only very minor complaint. The sound quality is phenomenal as to be expected from Bose. They have very rich sound with extremely clear treble and deep deep base. The noise cancelling is very good. The setting where you can hear ambient noise didn't sound like you are listening in a bucket. The music in that setting is beautiful and still very clear AND you can still hear everything else around me. The fit is perfect. My ears never got sore and they felt perfect. The ear tips that come on the buds were perfect size for my ears. It's almost like these were made just for me. Bose has surpassed my expectations with these fantastic earbuds. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone interested in them.

I love my Apple AirPods. They offer amazing technology and more features than Bose. HOWEVER, I find myself using the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds more. First, the sound is way better than the AirPods. Secondly, the fit is supreme. I never worry that these will fall out of my ears. IMPORTANT: Bose just added an update offering multi-point connection. Whichever device I pick up, my Bose earbuds are connected. Don’t know why they didn’t include multi-point from the beginning, but I’m glad to have the convenience now. You won’t be disappointed with these.

Overall, these are fine, but I'm not overly impressed... The Good: The audio quality is phenomenal. I've never used in-ear headphones with such good sound. The noise-cancelling is also very good. The spatial audio capability also adds a depth to the sound quality which is really nice. Battery life is as advertised. The Not-so-good: I have tended to have a problem with in-ear headphones staying in my ears. This is even more-so with these headphones. If I'm not moving at all (such as sitting at my desk), they'll stay in place for about 45 minutes or so before they start to spontaneously fall out of my ears. If I'm moving around, even just walking, this is cut down to about 10 minutes. While the sound quality and noise-cancelling is great, it's only great if they stay firmly in place. Any shift in position makes this drop off very quickly. It is nice that there are touch controls on the headphones, but with how easily they fall out, I end up pausing or skipping tracks every time I need to push an earpiece back into place. Price Comparison: If you don't have any issues with ear-buds falling out, these are as good as you're going to find. If you do have issues, you can do far better elsewhere. I've found the light-weight LG Tone Free to be good for exercise with very serviceable noise-cancelling. If you're looking for in-home use, you'll do better with high-end over-ear headphones at a similar price. If you're looking for this form factor, I actually had better results with Sony's 700 series of ear-buds because they are lighter and stay in place better for my ears.

Great comeback for Bose with Ultra

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Day one: My new Samsung 2 left side died on me, and i had a decision to make. Bose were my prior ones, and they were awful when talking on the phone, i could barely hear people and they could barely hear me. So anything else was irrelevant. The Samsung earbuds 2 just gave me peace of mind with this because thier main function is to talk to people with decent AKG sound. The new ultra were on the expensive side and i was on the ropes specially when 7 % of the reviews were 1 star and for $ 250 plus you do not want to see that. One mayor problem that i read was connection issues, stiĺl I was such a prior Bose fan that I could not help myself. So i open the box in the store to be ready and give them back if I had too. Downloaded thier app and 3 minutes later they were custom tuned for me and visible on my Samsung Ultra. No issues at all ! So lets fire them up, opened my music app and tested the mids and highs with Opera ( Andrea Bocelli) the sound was crisp and crystal clear at low as well as higher volumes. Not surprise because this is Bose strongest area. Then came the bass test ( which Bose tends to fall short). Clicked on Rush because Niel on Drums and Getty Lee on bass guitar puts any earbuds to sweat. To my surprise i heard little to no destortion on higher volumes. The more I heard the more satisfied I was. Im thinking this is too good to be true, so i went in a little dirtier with early Metalica Master of Puppets, and these Bose Ultra was holding their own. Look, Bose will always refine its output thats just who they are. That started this with their 901 speakers with the factory igualiser whose main function was to tame whatever you were listening to. Looking for anything else but a refine sound, look elsewhere. Bose is Bose. Now noise canceling, Bose perfection need i say more. My final Best Buy store test was to call my wife to make sure the two-way communication was spot on and to my delight surpass my Samsung 2, which are custom made for their phones. So I spent more money than i wanted, even with insurance covering a big part of it, but on day one, I love my new Bose Ultra. Hope they last. I highly recommend (for now, day one) if this is your price point.

Summary: Ever since I got these in the mail, they've gone everywhere with me; these are my new favorite item! One of the best features is the noise cancelling. I've only experience in one other head phone that truly worked. If you travel via planes, you will need a set of these for those flights with loud kids or crying babies. The sound quality is excellent, crisp treble and deep bass. The combination of noise cancelling and excellent sound creates a true audiophile experience. I'd HIGHLY recommend these to anyone looking to spend just a bit more for superior sounding earphones. In the Box: Bose QuietComfort Ultra True Wireless Noise Cancelling headphones Charging Case USB-C charging cables User Manuals 2 additional sets of silicone tips and seal Setup: Setting these up to pair with your phone was very easy with the Bose app. I didn't try pairing with only Bluetooth. Once I downloaded the app it was easily and quickly paired with my phone. Use: One of the first and noticeable things you'll find with these earbuds are the noise cancelling almost drowns out all exterior noise. It's one of the true noise canceling earbuds that I've use. some other brands will claim "noise cancelling" but they work poorly and do not match the quality of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra. If you're in an enjoinment that you'll need to hear a phone or coworker call for you, I would not suggest putting on both left and right earbuds. They will drown almost all exterior noise. I noticed when using only one it will allow you to hear the exterior noise from both side but once you put on both earbud be prepared to hear almost nothing. Besides the great noise cancelling, the audio is superior to many other brands out in the market. The treble was clean and crisp, I could clearly hear the vocals and high instruments. The bass was deep but not still clean. I think these are one of the best set of earbuds I've own in the past 5 years and I've owned quite a few and more so the wireless earbuds.

I would recommend this to a friend
