If you're seeking reliability and comfort

As an avid Apple user, I've relied on every iteration of AirPods, from the original to the latest AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, for my daily gym sessions and travel needs. However, I encountered a persistent issue with the AirPods Pro—they just wouldn't stay put during meetings, workouts, and especially travel. I needed a solution that offered both compactness and exceptional sound quality with noise cancellation. After experimenting with various options, I discovered the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, and they've been a game-changer. Thanks to their innovative silicon wing design, once these headphones are snugly in place, they stay put no matter what. Plus, they're remarkably comfortable even during extended use. These headphones have become my ultimate travel essential, completely replacing my AirPods Pro. If you're seeking reliability, comfort, and top-notch sound, look no further than the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones.

The box is nice and small, well packaged, you get a USB-C to USB-A charge cable, 3 ear tips sizes, 3 stability bands, charge case, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. You twist lock the Earbuds in your ears to secure them and this is a great thing. You swipe up on either earbuds or swipe down to lower the volume, tap to pause/resume audio answer a call, double tap to skip next or end/decline a call, triple tap to skip back. Download the Bose music app to control/fine tune the noise canceling, base, or eq. The not so great about the charge case is no wireless charging, not a deal breaker but an inconvenience. The Base on the Earbuds is outstanding. Call clarity is great but at the loudest you may crave for a little more, not a deal breaker. Driving with the windows down the other party can hear all the wind noise (as with all Earbuds I have used) but your ability to hear the other party is perfect. Music is just perfect, you can adjust the EQ in the Bose music app to your liking and plenty of volume. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are lightweight, great sound, and fit well in the ear. Plenty of battery.

    Bose for the win

In my professional opinion, this product would have received a 5-star rating due to its exceptional sound quality and noise cancellation capabilities. However, the outdated casing design and lack of wireless connectivity are significant drawbacks. It is surprising that this feature is still absent, given the current technological advancements. Despite these shortcomings, Bose continues to produce some of the best noise-canceling earbuds on the market, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.

The Best Noise Cancellation and Comfort

I have several brands of earbuds and over the ear headphones and I have always found Bose to provide the best combination of noise cancellation and comfort. The Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Earbuds do not disappoint. In the box you get the earbuds, charging/storage case, a usb-a to usb-c charging cable and a "Fit KIt" which includes 3 sizes of ear tips and stability bands. I already had the Bose app installed on my phone. As soon as I opened the case the earbuds connected to my Pixel phone and to the Bose app. The first thing I did was try on the various ear tips and stability bands until I found the perfect combination. The earbuds are smaller and lighter than previous models. The Bose app provides numerous settings for customization. There are 3 modes. Quiet (highest level of noise cancellation), Aware (allowing in outside sounds) and Immersion (spacial sound). Equalizer settings include Bass Boost, Bass Reducer, Treble Boost and Treble Reducer. Shortcuts can be set on both left and right earbuds. You can cycle through Modes, change Immersive sound settings, switch connection between 2 devices or activate voice assistant. Tap the earbuds to play or pause audio. Taking out 1 earbud will also pause audio and stop noise cancellation in the other earbud so that you can hear conversation. Double tap for next track and triple tap for previous track. Sliding your finger up and down controls volume. You can also tap to answer a call, tap again to answer a second call and put the first caller on hold, and double tap to end the call. So far, in daily use, I have found the comfort and noise cancellation to be outstanding. The sound for voices in music, video and phone calls is very clear and natural sounding. Music has a lot of bass which I tone down using the equalizer. Immersive sound makes the music appear to be coming from all directions. But keep in mind that it does drain the battery faster. Bose states up to 6 hours per charge, but only 4 hours with immersive sound. The case holds enough power to fully recharge the earbuds 3 times. Now I do have a couple of gripes. My Pixel phone and the Bose app both show remaining power in each earbud but does not show the power remaining in the charging case. Every other brand shows that, but the Bose only has a light that turns amber when you need to charge. This is not very helpful. Also, all previous models of Bose headphones and earbuds told you exactly how much power remained as soon as you turned them on. these earbuds only tell you that the power is full or low. Overall, I am very happy with the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds. Great noise cancellation, excellent comfort, full rich sound, ease of operation and variety of customization. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Thanks for your review, Rolando! The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds use both passive and active noise reduction technologies; the active part is achieved via the mics producing a cancellation signal. Our support team will always be happy to help you achieve the ideal sound for you. Regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

I previously had the Apple AirPod Pro's and moved to these. Pros: The spectrum of frequencies you can hear with the Bose is definitely noticeable, especially in the low end. The noise cancelation is serious. Overall fitment is better than any other earbud I've tried - I think this is partly due to the outer rubber strip/ring that essentially helps seal off your inner ear from your ear drum. Battery life is amazing so far. Micro USB to charge. Cons: It doesn't appear that the single tap and double tap features for both the L and R ear bud have as much configurability as the Air Pods; can't program the L bud to go back to the previous song with a double tap from my understanding. The Bose Music app is just ok. My iPhone does occasionally have troubles connecting via bluetooth to the headphones.

Hello Hugo, if the standard sets of ear tips and stability bands that come with the earbuds do not fit well, I recommend that you check out the alternate sized ear tip kit that provides an extra small and extra large set of ear tips and stability bands.
