I have these earbuds and thought they would be better than AirPod pros, but I was incorrect. They don’t fit in my ear very well even after trying all sizes. They make random noises and stutter a lot when listening to music. The noise cancellation is not any better then AirPods especially since it will not fit I. The ear good. Immersion settings are kinda cool though.

Thanks for reviewing the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds! I'm happy to hear you like the different Immersion modes, however I'm sorry to hear about the poor fit in your ear. If the standard eartip sizes don't fit, you could try the alternate XS or XL sizes that are sold separately. As for the strange noises and stuttering connection, I would suggest rebooting your connected mobile device, and if that doesn't help, please contact your local support team for troubleshooting assistance. Hi Mario, I'm glad to hear you like using your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds at the gym or in the park! It can occur that the earbuds won't block out 100% of very loud noises (e.g. a blower or mower); however, they should still reduce this noise considerably. I'd recommend making sure that you have the right eartip and stability band combination, as a secure fit is crucial to good noise canceling. If our support team can help with this, e.g. via the alternate eartip (XS, XL) and stability band (0, 4) sizes that we have available, then get in touch with us here: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. This product is an absolute sham with no quality control. I am on my fourth pair of these earbuds (Bose will replace them if they turn defective). I keep them clean, no accidents or mishaps, and every pair has gone silent in one ear after a few weeks without fail. It's so incredibly frustrating and absolutely absurd that earbuds this expensive are so unreliable. I expect I will be sending back pair #4 as well when they inevitably fail. Additionally, the app is garbage and the earbuds will routinely fail to connect to your device or suddenly disconnect in the middle of use. Do not buy these, no matter what accolades they say they have. Buy something better, ideally not from Bose.

      Hi there,

It is very odd for the same issue to repeat itself in multiple pairs of earbuds. Please make sure that the stability bands are correct seated on the earbuds: https://bose.life/40TI2oU
This will make sure that the earbuds turn off and charge correctly when placed inside the case. Which will improve connection reliability.
Please also make sure when cleaning the earbuds you follow our guide here: https://bose.life/3AC4Ajy

Of course we'd be happy to keep providing support, so please do reach out: https://bose.life/contact

The noise canceling is almost nonexistent. The loudest it will go before distortion is so low that you can carry on a normal conversation with no problem. In my opinion, these earbuds are NOT worth the money by any means.

I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment with your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, Steve! Unless the earbuds are used at extreme volumes, the sound you're hearing should be crisp and clear. Try rebooting your mobile device, to see if that helps. As for the noise cancelling, make sure you're in "Quiet" mode, and try disabling "ActiveSense" in the Bose app as well; this can be done by going to the home screen, then tapping Modes > Aware Settings. If you require further assistance, our support team will be happy to help. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

We are happy to hear that you find the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds great for gym use. By design, the Open Earbuds don’t block out the world or have noise-cancelling. They do, however, have an automatic volume control feature, available in the Bose Music app, that helps you hear your music evenly as your environment changes from quiet to loud and back.

    Terrific Bose Quality Earbuds

With the Bose QuietComfort Ultra, Bose lives up to their reputation for high-quality sound devices. The sound quality is unparalleled when I compare it to the last 5 or 10 earbuds I've owned. It Is clear, crisp, and has amazing bass (how sweet the sound). My first impression after listening to them was that I didn't want to take them off, I loved the sound. As per the 'quiet' part of the name, it may refer to noise canceling, which lets you enjoy the sound even at lower volumes without hearing the outside world. In a parking lot just a couple hundred feet from a busy interstate, as soon as I put on the second Bose earbud, it got very quiet, and I did enjoy a Netflix show. Separately from that, I used these earbuds during a video conference and it completely blocked out the sound of a loud wall air conditioner. On my Samsung phone, it automatically suggested downloading the app that goes with these earbuds, "Bose Music," which I did, and I let it introduce me to how these earbuds work - I recommend downloading that app. If you need to re-pair the Bluetooth connection, there’s a button you press and hold on the back of the charging case while the earbuds are inserted. I also suggest going to the support website linked on the box and downloading the manual (at least skim it). Another thing about Bluetooth connectivity is that you can only connect to one device at a time (it seems to remember multiple devices), whereas some other earbuds offer a multi-device connection. It announces the device name you’re connected to when it powers up, which is helpful if you’re not sure which device is connected. They rest in the ears very comfortably. The default size earpieces were perfect for me, but there were two other sizes because not everyone's ear is the same size. They are very comfortable, and if you get them in correctly (with the right size ear fitting), they hold very well, which means I can go for a walk (or on the treadmill) without worrying about chasing after an earbud if it falls out and rolls away. A USB Port charges these Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds on the charging case (which, of course, holds a charge for charging the earbuds while away from power sources). The light is orange while charging and white when fully charged. When you open the lid, a light inside slowly flashes blue when Bluetooth pairing is active and otherwise indicates the charging status of the earbuds themselves (separate from the case). On one occasion, the right earbud did not turn on; however, inserting it back into the case and then removing it seemed to fix that. I'm very happy with these earbuds, and plan to regularly carry them in my pocket even though it is a larger case than i'm used to for true wireless earbuds.

      Hello
Sorry to hear that you're having concerns with the fit of your earbuds, You should take some time to experiment with different eartip and stability band sizes to arrive at a combination that suits you, providing a gentle seal and a comfortable experience. It’s common for left and right ears to vary slightly in shape, so sizes may not match from left to right. Also, eartip and stability band sizes may be mixed and matched . If you find that you need alternate sizes, extra small and extra-large eartips and stability bands are available through Bose Support.

I’ve loved every other Bose product that I purchased. This one, not so much. I tried the different sizing pieces, but I still cannot get a secure fit. I could deal with this, but every time you touch the earbuds to adjust the fit, it stops the music from the touch pad or changes mode. Not good for working out.

Amazing earbuds with ANC and Immersive Audio!

Coming from the Bose QC35 Headphones, followed by the Bose QC Earbuds, I was really excited when these were announced. Coming from the first gen earbuds, the form factor on these is closer to the 2nd gen. They sit great in the ear and there are multiple tips included from L to Small to fit a wide range of ears. Once you think you have the fit you want, you can run the check in the app to make sure you have a good seal. These are very lightweight and extremely comfortable to wear for hours at a time. The fin that runs along one edge helps stabilize them and keep them firmly in place without being obtrusive. Of course, Bose is legendary for the ANC and these live up to the reputation. They are highly effective at blocking outside noise in full ANC mode, but you can adjust how much ANC you want in the app. Going for walks or doing yard work, it's helpful to not completely drown out the world. It's just nice to have full control over what you want out of your headphones. And the sound is incredible! Signature lows that Bose is known for, but clear and precise highs and mids make these great for listening to all types of music. You can also adjust the EQ or rely on the headphones to use their algorhythm to give you the perfect audio experience. Speaking of sound, let's talk about Immersive Audio. You can leave this off, put it in Still mode or let it move with you. It widens the sound stage and is a great new feature. Listening to music or watching movies and hearing the sound move as you move your head is really cool and adds a whole new dimension to listening. Phone calls were clear on both ends and a big improvement from my 1st gen buds. Overall, I have zero complaints about these earbuds. They have a premium design and feel with killer sound quality (audio and phone). ANC is outstanding as always with Bose and the case is a great size and shape for throwing it into a backpack, purse or even your front pocket. You get 6hrs on full charge with ANC active (4hrs if using Immersive Audio) and the case holds 3 full charges. 20min gets you 2hrs worth of listening time. These are going to go down as one of the best earbuds of 2023, if not the best. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a new pair of earbuds with ANC. Is it worth upgrading if you already have the Bose QC Earbuds 2? That's up to you and your wallet. There's definitely some upgrades here and the immersive audio experience is amazing. Coming from the Gen 1 earbuds, this is a big upgrade and I would say it's definitely worth it!
