I have been a loyal Bose customer for 15 years, but these are the worst I've ever had. The sound is great and the noise cancellation is phenomenal. However the quality is extremely low with the rubber surround breaking after 2 months of use causing them to slip constantly and fall out on occasion during use. After 5 months of use, I started hearing a loud crackling in one of the earbuds. I reached out to support and they told me this was expected due to the noise cancellation. After I was adamant this was not normal, they told me there was no factory reset with these specifically and the only option was replacement which would take up to 8 weeks after they received them. I use these for many hours a day with my job and it would be a severe inconvenience at best to be without them for so long. This is a stark contrast from Bose products of the past and I will not be buying these or any other earbuds from Bose again.

The stability bands shouldn't break within a few months of use, however if this does happen, our customer support team will be more than happy to send you some new bands. The team can be contacted here: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US.
The loud crackling noise you described doesn't sound like it was caused by the earbuds' noise cancelling. Things to try here include re-syncing the earbuds with the charging case, rebooting your connected mobile device, and clearing the Bluetooth pairing lists on both sides. If these steps fail to resolve the issue, our support team will be very happy to assist here as well.
Lastly, you referred to an 8-week turnaround time for an exchange of your earbuds. Bose has recently transitioned its repair and returns locations, however I can confirm that there is no longer a risk of delay. In this respect, I invite you to contact our support team again via the link above, so we can ensure all troubleshooting has been tried and then go through our service options with you, if these are needed.

I love Bose headphones so i assumed the earbuds would be the same. The bass from these is sadly beatable. Sony earbuds have more bass and theyre less in price. Thatd the maij reason i wanted these ones. Also, the ear pieces are too small or too big. Theres no in between size. I found that weird. You should always offer multiple sizes so it can fit in anyones ear. Overall, the name is what you pay for. I emded up returning. I gave 2 stars because the quality of the earbuds was nice. Very classy and modern looking. I just wish they had mlre of that sound quality you expect from Bose products. Also, battery life coukd be improved.

Posted .I'm happy to hear you liked the build quality of the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, Tara! However, I'm sorry to hear you had trouble finding a good fit. Alternate sizes of eartip (sizes XS, XL) and stability band (sizes 0, 4) are available separately, if needed. For the battery life, it's true that with Immersive Audio switched on, the earbuds offer 4 hours of listening time, and 6 hours with Immersive Audio turned off. However, a fully charged charging case will offer an additional 18 hours, keeping your earbuds topped up. Lastly, the bass output can be adjusted via the Equalizer settings in the Bose app, to help achieve a sound you're happy with. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support
