Hi GentilM,I am sorry to hear the Bose QuietComfort Ultra didn't meet your expectations for volume,
one thing to try is Different media types might produce different quality sound. For example, Podcasts, music stored locally on your phone, MP3s, streaming music services (Spotify, Pandora), videos on your device or stored in the cloud, etc. can all vary in quality.

if you are still having issues please reach out to our support and we’ll be happy to help look into this further for you

      Hello,

I understand you've sent them back to Bose for support. I'd suggest making sure that the stability bands on the earbuds are correctly aligned with the dots on the earbuds. As the earbuds may not sit correctly when misaligned causing charging issues. Please also contact us (https://bose.life/contact) for support should you need it.

Bose is at it again with the new QuietComfort Ultra True Wireless Noise Cancelling earbuds. If you know about Bose, you know what to expect. Excellent quality, cutting edge sound and an all around amazing product. Over the past few days these are typically in my ears off and on from 9a-11p. Out of the box these buds fit perfectly in my ears, amazing. It hugs the inside of your ear and unlike some other brands of earbuds these are so light and small they don't feel like they're falling out of your ears at time. Even while working out or sweating, they're just stuck there. The package does come with 2 additional sizes on top of what you get installed on the earbuds, so people with large or small earholes have other options. Bose offers top notch audio quality in their products. The QuietComfort Ultras are no different. The app offers a ton of settings. There are 3 different modes to choose from. There's quiet which is your normal noise cancelling, aware that allows you to hear things around you by using the mic on the buds to amplify sounds and the last mode is immersion which makes it feel like a live concert in your hears and also uses noise cancelling. Inside the immersion mode you have 3 other depth enhancements. Off, which i'm not sure why it's included, Still which is best for sitting down and motion which is best for when you're moving around. Mess around with them all and see which one you like best. I seem to like motion as it delivers the most depth. An EQ is also included in the app. Speaking of noise cancelling, these earbuds are probably top of the line as far as the ability to hear NOTHING while you have the buds in. This also makes the fit and different size earpieces so important. When you have noise cancelling you need that tight seal. These accomplish that seal needed. The noise cancelling is almost uncomfortably quiet. The battery life has been second to none. They boast 6 hours of listening time (4 with using immersive audio) and the case holds up to 3 additional full charges. The case is small and slick feeling. It doesn't create a bulge in your pocket or weigh much at all. It does feel very plastic and slightly fragile and i'm currently searching for some type of silicone case for protection. Calls sound great on these and i've gotten good feedback from others that the mic sounds great. Touch controls are similar to other Bose models. I like the swipe up for volume up and down for volume down and I like the ability to change from noise cancelling to aware by holding down on the earbuds. All in all these are legit top quality earbuds that offer amazing fit, amazing sound and look great. A 10 of 10 in every category in my book.

I'm sorry to hear your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds would no longer hold a charge, especially as you were happy with their sound for the first month. The earbuds will last for 4 hours when Immersive Audio is on, for 6 hours when it is off, and a fully-charged case will supply a further 18 hours of charge to the earbuds. If your earbuds are giving you less than these values, please contact our support team for assistance: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. I have owned a pair of the original Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds for a while now and really like them. They sound good and fit well, and last close to 6 hours on a charge. When these new Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra earbuds came out, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I will say that I am not unhappy with the Ultras, but they do fall short in some areas. First of all, I love the smaller, lighter form factor. They are more comfortable in my ears. However, that weight savings comes at a price. I had a hard time finding a good combination of ear cups and rings for a good fit. Even with the “best” fit, they are still not as secure in my ears as the original version Quiet Comfort earbuds. I wish they had the larger rings with the “clips” like the originals. That really held them in my ears much more securely. Any amount of sweat on my ears and they will slip, which means a loose seal or possibly even falling out of my ears. Battery life is good, matching the originals at close to 6 hours. That is, unless you activate “immersion mode”. In that case, it cuts battery life almost in half, to just over 3 hours. That is unfortunate, because the sound in immersion mode is incredible. I’d have gladly put up with a larger earbud to get a longer-lasting battery. The time to charge the earbuds in the case and to charge the case is about the same as the original Quite Comfort earbuds. One bonus is that the Ultra’s case is MUCH smaller, so it’s easier to carry. That comes at a price, too, as it lacks wireless charging so the case can only be charged with a USB-C connector. It’s not horrible, but it is much less convenient than the original QC’s which did have wireless charging. Speaking of immersion mode, as is typical of Bose, they are experts at using technology to create amazing sound. I don’t know how they do it, but with immersion mode, the sound seems to come from all around, like standing center stage with a group of live musicians. Immersion mode has two settings – “still” and “motion”. The still setting is what you normally hear from headphones in that center stage is centered with your head. With the motion setting, it detects your head movement and keeps the “center stage” planted in the same place. As you turn your head, the direction of the sound seems to come from the same place outside of the earbuds. This is much like if you were listening to external speakers and turning your head. Once you stop moving, the “stage” does re-center itself. Personally, I find this a bit gimmicky and even slightly annoying. The still setting is perfectly fine and really offers incredible sound. My only other criticism of these Quiet Comfort Ultra earbuds is getting them out of the case. If there are any body oils at all on them, they are impossible to remove by gripping the plastic housing of the earbud, so I end up gripping the edge of the rubber ring. That will, I am sure, end up stretching that ring so it no longer fits well. That’s just poor case design in my opinion. Even though the original QC earbuds case is much larger, I like the way it works better, and especially its wireless charging. If Bose comes out with an accessory case for the Ultras that is more like the original case with wireless charging, I’ll buy it. Overall, I recommend these and give them 5-stars for sounds quality, but I only give them 2 stars for design and non-audio quality. So overall, I’d say 4 stars. I’ve included a few photos showing the differences between the original QC earbuds and the new Ultras.

Ever since I was in my early twenties, I was a really hooked on everything made by Bose! Bose products are always innovative and have cutting edge technology. Today this product was delivered to me and I’m in love with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. I literally couldn’t remove these earbuds from my ears as the sound quality is amazing! The highs and lows are astonishing! I listen to lots of music on a daily basis, so I was anxious to compare these earbuds with some of my other high quality products which I already own. I own around 6 different earbud products from various manufacturers and I truly love this set of earbuds. First of all they have a superior comfort level when worn for long periods of time. Bose rocks!! These particular earbuds blow the competition away as the sound is awesome. I have several favorite songs that I listen to and play almost daily and these earbuds produce sharp, clear crisp sound reproductions! I now hear subtleties in my music that I never heard before. Amazing highs and low bass sounds abound! I’m hearing more enhanced sounds now than ever before. Battery life is fantastic especially if you consider the case adds extra listening life to these earbuds. These earbuds have controls on both the left and right sides which are easily accessed and controlled. It works well with my iPhone 13 Pro and pairing these buds was quick and effortlessly! The Bose Music App app is highly customizable and I found it to bug free. The choice of customization is huge and one of my favorite tweaks is to have my music automatically cease or stop when buds are removed. Upon reinserting them after removal, your music selection picks up exactly where you left off! My second favorite tweak with these earbuds is the immersive audio setting which adds depth to your listening pleasure. You are also able to preset a music listening favorite and save it. I can go on and on but suffice to say that this product beats all competition hands down. These earbuds are also customizable with an equalizer and you can push bass or treble boost to your specific taste. When I tested this product I truly heard pure music with these earbuds! No extraneous sounds bled through during my listening experience. Bose is a true innovator when it comes to their products. These earbuds are a true powerhouse and will blow your music listening experience to pieces. Amazing product. I am highly recommending this product as it’s the best money can buy.

    The Earbud Sound King

I have owned most premium earbuds made in the past five years. They all have their benefits and drawbacks. This is the second pair of Bose earbuds I have owned, and they are amazing. The QuietComfort Ultra earbuds have the best sound I've heard in an earbud. They have great features and a quality build and feel. My favorite feature of these buds is the sound. I have the latest buds from the fruit company, and those have been my primary buds for the past year or so. The fruitbuds have very good sound, bass, and clarity, and I was very happy with that until I got about 30 seconds into a song with the QuietComfort Ultra. The standard sound on the Bose is amazing, but when you enter Immersive Audio mode, the music goes to another level. Everyone is familiar with stereo versus mono, where different sounds can come from either earbud - not the same exact sound on both. Immersive Audio steps it up even more. Somehow I feel like I am there when I listen in that mode, like I am at a concert. It reminds me of the first time I heard "8D" music on YouTube. Immersive Audio is like 4K TV versus 720p. There is so much more to hear and feel. The QC Ultras have four listening modes, passive (no added features), aware (uses microphones to allow outside noises, like people and cars) into your ears for conversation or safety purposes, noise cancellation (standard audio but blocks out most noise) and immersive audio (noise cancellation and enhanced sound). The aware mode is great. I am able to hear people talking, cars driving by, or anything that keeps me grounded in the goings-on of life. When people talk to me in aware mode, they sound very natural and easy to understand. There is even a feature that recognizes conversation and lowers your music volume automatically. That feature can be turned off. The only part of aware mode that could be better for me is hearing my own voice. When I speak in aware mode, my voice sounds a little bottled to me. Noise cancellation on these buds is second to none. When you turn it on, the rest of the world seems to nearly disappear. It is easily the best I've used. Immersive audio also uses noise cancellation but also enhances the musical experience. My other earbuds can't hold a candle to the QC Ultra in Immersive mode. Overall the sound is fantastic. The bass is punchy, the tones are crisp and clear, no distortion, and it is obvious that Bose is a sound company. I messed with the equalizer, which is built into the Bose app, and added more bass and was blown away by the punch these buds have. Things I love about the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds: -Sound -Immersive Audio -Noise cancellation -Long battery life (I can easily get 6 hours) -All main controls are available on the buds (Volume, listening modes, pause, play, skip) -The look (I like the silver logo overlay on each bud) -The app is easy to use and has just the right amount of features Things I would improve if I could: -My voice when I talk to someone in Aware mode -The case is a bit bulkier than competitors' cases. -A home screen widget with controls would be nice (I could not find one on iOS or Android) I tested the QC Ultras on an iPhone 13 Pro Max, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. My experience was similar, if not the same, on all devices. The buds paired with the iPhones extremely fast, it took just a bit longer on the Samsung.

So like many people will say, Bose sound signature is always well balanced solid clear sounding Audio quality. The same goes for this iteration of Bose’s QC in ear headphones with some new technology and a slight tweak to the sound stage. Firstly I will say I do love these headphones and I do recommend them. But there are a few minor issues I want to talk about. 1st I want you to know that the sound is great yes but Bose seems to have put a slight emphasis on the treble as it is a bit higher and more sharp out the box. I’m guessing more people are liking higher treble nowadays and that’s ok, but I do not. I always chose Bose because of their focus on the mid range/vocals while tuning their earphones(mids are still amazing btw). They also used to focus more on the bass as well. And bass is good if you have the perfect tip installed on the earbud itself. If you use an ear tip that is too big the bass will lessen and the sound will leak but they do include 3 different tips and wings to choose from. I’ll stick to the medium size tips and medium sized wing. 2nd the case while smaller and lighter and nice looking feels a tad bit flimsy imo. The lid part feels super thin and the hinge definitely feels like it might break if you do not handle with care. Back to the wing part that helps stay secure in your ear, they work 100% but are not as comfortable as the older generation with the full wing tip. Maybe I am nit picking and maybe I am old fashioned but I think those worked better but I do understand that Bose was trying to make a smaller product. So that is more than understandable and it may not bother most people. Noise cancellation is top tier and no surprise obviously. Touch controls work well if not a little bit sensitive, no issues there. Battery life is great lasted me several days with noise cancellation always on. Voice quality came out clear while talking on the phone. And last but not least Bose's new immersion/spacial audio is very cool and innovative but might be a niche type of technology. You will either use it all the time or not at all. I tested many songs and showed my wife an kids. They all said it was cool but kinda changed the sound from what the original Audio was supposed to be. Also it will drain the battery faster so I don’t use it much. You might love it so definitely give it a shot with different genres. I had to knock 1 star mainly due the case quality, the overly high treble and the slightly uncomfortable wingtip! But as I have stated previously, I do recommend them still as they will meet the majority of people’s needs and wants. A great set of earphones with some minor issues. Good luck and happy shopping!

    Best Earbuds on the Planet!

Bose has been making some of the best audio products for years and their latest noise cancelling earbuds do not disappoint. I have used earbuds from numerous manufacturers over the years, and Bose tends to lead the way at every turn. This product is about as close to perfect as you can get. Pros: - Set up was simple. I had already had the Bose Music app installed on my phone since I have other Bose products, and as soon as I opened the earbud case my phone alerted me that there was a new device ready to connect. You gotta love the automation/simplicity! - Audio quality was top notch. I have been listening to music, podcasts, and streamed shows over the past several days. All of them sounded fantastic. - The listening modes all have great purposes and are easy to toggle with a single short press on either ear-bud. "Quiet" mode is when you want to avoid all ambient sound and avoid distractions. "Aware" is for when you want to be able to hear things around you and engage others without having to remove an earbud. "Immersion" mode was my preferred method for music, but not for podcasts. Immersion mode made music sound fuller and somehow like it was coming from all around me instead of being fed directly into my ears. It's hard to explain but it really made listening to songs I've heard a hundred times sound new and different in an amazing way. - The customization you would want in a high-end product like this is present. In the Bose app you can fine tune audio settings to your liking and can toggle other things like which earbud you would like to use to activate your voice assistant. - The fit for me with the medium eartips was perfect. Small and large tips are also included, as are a variety of stability bands for your outer ear fit. I haven't seen another company offer the stability bands as an option in their designs. Perhaps it's patented? But they certainly help provide a more secure fit for anyone using these earbuds during physical activity. - Battery life is good at 6 hours per charge. But if you use "Immersion" mode it will cut 2 hours off of that time. And of course you can charge them back up in the case while you are on the go. - Touch controls work perfectly. It is very easy to skip tracks, pause, etc. Raising and lowering volume requires just a short swipe up or down on either ear. I've never had earbud controls be so intuitive and work so precisely before. Cons: - The earbuds, for me, are a little tricky to grab and pull out of the case. This could be a positive if you consider that they won't slide out accidentally when you don't want them to. These earbuds are high priced but well worth the cost when you factor in the audio quality, comfortable fit, noise canceling, and the game-changing immersion mode. I highly recommend them.

TL;DR: These earbuds are amazing! They sound great, have the best noise cancellation I've ever heard, and they actually fit my ears and stay in, even during vigorous activity. Plus, they have fantastic battery life. The only downside is the design, which is a bit dated for 2023. The charging case also seems cheap and doesn't have wireless charging. Detailed Review: I've tried a lot of different earbuds in my time, but I've always had to buy custom tips to get them to stay in my ears. My current earbuds are held in place by the tips alone, and it's a terrible experience. I've even had to resort to using two different pairs of earbuds, one for everyday use and one for physical activity. That all changed when I got these Bose earbuds. They fit perfectly! They stay in my ears without any custom tips, and they sound amazing. The noise cancellation is also top-notch, and I can even pipe in ambient noise if I want to. I've used these earbuds on both my Android and iPhone, and the experience has been great. The only thing is that you can't pair them to both devices at the same time using just Bluetooth. You have to use the Bose Music app to set them up first. Once they're set up, you can pair them with other devices, but you'll need to use the app to manage and initiate the connection. Once they're connected then you can swap devices using the devices OS or the Bose Music app. As for build quality, the earbuds themselves seem great, but the case is a bit flimsy. It's made of plastic and has a rattle if you tap on it. The earbuds themselves also have a bit of an old-fashioned design. But none of that really matters, because these earbuds are simply amazing. Overall, I'm extremely happy with these Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra earbuds. They have everything I'm looking for in a pair of earbuds: great sound, noise cancellation, and a comfortable fit. Did I mention they stay in my ear!!!!!

I really love my Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. The sound quality is rich and clear, and the noise cancellation is some of the best I’ve tried perfect for blocking out background noise when I just want to zone out. They’re also really comfortable and stay in place, even if I wear them for hours. Battery life is solid, and I like being able to adjust the noise cancellation levels. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that during phone calls, sometimes it picks up background sounds or outside noise a little more than I’d expect. It’s not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of.
