The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are great BUT.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The box is nice and small, well packaged, you get a USB-C to USB-A charge cable, 3 ear tips sizes, 3 stability bands, charge case, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. You twist lock the Earbuds in your ears to secure them and this is a great thing. You swipe up on either earbuds or swipe down to lower the volume, tap to pause/resume audio answer a call, double tap to skip next or end/decline a call, triple tap to skip back. Download the Bose music app to control/fine tune the noise canceling, base, or eq. The not so great about the charge case is no wireless charging, not a deal breaker but an inconvenience. The Base on the Earbuds is outstanding. Call clarity is great but at the loudest you may crave for a little more, not a deal breaker. Driving with the windows down the other party can hear all the wind noise (as with all Earbuds I have used) but your ability to hear the other party is perfect. Music is just perfect, you can adjust the EQ in the Bose music app to your liking and plenty of volume. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are lightweight, great sound, and fit well in the ear. Plenty of battery.

Bose for the win
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my professional opinion, this product would have received a 5-star rating due to its exceptional sound quality and noise cancellation capabilities. However, the outdated casing design and lack of wireless connectivity are significant drawbacks. It is surprising that this feature is still absent, given the current technological advancements. Despite these shortcomings, Bose continues to produce some of the best noise-canceling earbuds on the market, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.

The Best Noise Cancellation and Comfort
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several brands of earbuds and over the ear headphones and I have always found Bose to provide the best combination of noise cancellation and comfort. The Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Earbuds do not disappoint. In the box you get the earbuds, charging/storage case, a usb-a to usb-c charging cable and a "Fit KIt" which includes 3 sizes of ear tips and stability bands. I already had the Bose app installed on my phone. As soon as I opened the case the earbuds connected to my Pixel phone and to the Bose app. The first thing I did was try on the various ear tips and stability bands until I found the perfect combination. The earbuds are smaller and lighter than previous models. The Bose app provides numerous settings for customization. There are 3 modes. Quiet (highest level of noise cancellation), Aware (allowing in outside sounds) and Immersion (spacial sound). Equalizer settings include Bass Boost, Bass Reducer, Treble Boost and Treble Reducer. Shortcuts can be set on both left and right earbuds. You can cycle through Modes, change Immersive sound settings, switch connection between 2 devices or activate voice assistant. Tap the earbuds to play or pause audio. Taking out 1 earbud will also pause audio and stop noise cancellation in the other earbud so that you can hear conversation. Double tap for next track and triple tap for previous track. Sliding your finger up and down controls volume. You can also tap to answer a call, tap again to answer a second call and put the first caller on hold, and double tap to end the call. So far, in daily use, I have found the comfort and noise cancellation to be outstanding. The sound for voices in music, video and phone calls is very clear and natural sounding. Music has a lot of bass which I tone down using the equalizer. Immersive sound makes the music appear to be coming from all directions. But keep in mind that it does drain the battery faster. Bose states up to 6 hours per charge, but only 4 hours with immersive sound. The case holds enough power to fully recharge the earbuds 3 times. Now I do have a couple of gripes. My Pixel phone and the Bose app both show remaining power in each earbud but does not show the power remaining in the charging case. Every other brand shows that, but the Bose only has a light that turns amber when you need to charge. This is not very helpful. Also, all previous models of Bose headphones and earbuds told you exactly how much power remained as soon as you turned them on. these earbuds only tell you that the power is full or low. Overall, I am very happy with the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds. Great noise cancellation, excellent comfort, full rich sound, ease of operation and variety of customization. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Posted .Thanks for your review, Rolando! The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds use both passive and active noise reduction technologies; the active part is achieved via the mics producing a cancellation signal. Sound quality is top notch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously had the Apple AirPod Pro's and moved to these. Pros: The spectrum of frequencies you can hear with the Bose is definitely noticeable, especially in the low end. The noise cancelation is serious. Overall fitment is better than any other earbud I've tried - I think this is partly due to the outer rubber strip/ring that essentially helps seal off your inner ear from your ear drum. Battery life is amazing so far. Micro USB to charge. Cons: It doesn't appear that the single tap and double tap features for both the L and R ear bud have as much configurability as the Air Pods; can't program the L bud to go back to the previous song with a double tap from my understanding. The Bose Music app is just ok. My iPhone does occasionally have troubles connecting via bluetooth to the headphones.

Superb and Industry First with Immersive Audio
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose has outdone themselves here with this new ultra QuietComfort earbud! I have owned many high-end earbuds from different manufacturers all in the 250 – 350-dollar range. I have to say, with clarity, that these are the best of the best and better than the previous iteration of Bose QuietComfort earbuds. Unboxing this product showed minimalistic packaging which I certainly appreciated. Inside the packaging are the earbuds in the charging case, quick start guide and very short usb-c cable to charge. Fitting these earbuds to my own ear size was simple – I tried all three sizes included but the medium size that are installed on arrival were the best and most comfortable. Getting these up and running was a breeze and while there are numerous ways to get these connected to the phone, I chose to do it through the Bose music app as recommended. I simply scanned the QR code inside the packaging and it gets you to the app set up. All in all, it took about 3 minutes to get them connected and once connected, there is a simple tutorial on how to use the various features. Operating the earbuds is extremely simple from volume control (swipe up or down on the unit), play /pause (single tap) skipping forward to the next track (double tap), previous track (triple tap) etc. Answering phone calls that come in – single tap to answer, double tap to end I chose a shortcut for each earbud which operates by a simple single long tap– the left earbud set to cycle through the noise cancel modes (Quiet, Aware, Immersion or custom setting)– the right earbud cycles though the Immersive Audio modes (Still, Motion, Off). Noice cancellation – simply unbelievable! For full noise cancellation I like the NC set to Immersion with the Immersive audio set to Motion. I can then listen to music in Immersive Audio with the benefit of full noise cancellation. When I need to be able to hear my surroundings, I long press my left earbud to set noise cancellation to Aware. Simply works beautifully. Sound – Again – just amazing. I took a few hours to set my own equalizer settings that I personally like. Out of the box, the sound is wonderful but a bit base heavy for my taste. Through the app, one can dial in the sound to their own personal preference. This of course will be different for everyone, but I am confident everyone should be able to get the sound they desire. Battery – Just about exactly what Bose stated they would be – 4 hours if listening with Immersive Audio – 6 hours if this is toggled off. Recharging was adequate and you can get to 50% in 20 minutes or so, full charge about 50 minutes. The case holds 3 extra charges. The case cannot charge wirelessly (unless you buy the $50 wireless charging case cover) but does have USB-C. Immersive Audio – An industry first! When set to Motion - Audio sounds like it is coming from two stereo speakers in front of you that follow the movements of your head (Use for the most consistent experience. Best for when you are doing activities that require you to frequently turn your head or look down). When set to Still - Audio sounds like it's coming from two stereo speakers in front of you that stay where they are when you move your head (Use for the most realistic and powerful experience. Best for when you're stationary). When set to Off - Audio sounds like it's coming from your earbuds (Use when you want a classic listening experience or want to conserve battery life). I personally like Immersive Audio On – either Motion or Still – yes uses more battery but it sounds amazing! In short – these are simply superb and definitely worth the dollar amount if it fits your budget. My only negative – at this price point, the case should be capable of wireless charging. You will not be disappointed by this offering from Bose.

Insane Sound, Great Design, Flimsy Case Lid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is this product worth $300? No. Is this one of the best sounding earbuds on the market? YES! Very dynamic sound with clean frequencies that are well balanced. Gotta love Bose. Do they fit good? Yes. They grip in my ear with a silicone gusset that fits into the ear around the opening AND it has wings, I need the wings since I wear them everywhere. They are also lightweight, sleek and inline the ear and head, lots of control options by touching the bud and the app allows you to further customize your sound. But….the headphone case has a similar lid and hinge to the airpods. I have put my airpods case through a lot and it is still sturdy. On this case the plastic lid is flimsy and the hinge is not very broad and feels week when i put a little stress on it. Even if i can charge the buds without the top of the case, this flaw alone makes these buds not worth it for me.
