    Great if you like to listen to white noise

    When you put these on, you immediately hear white noise. Even in a quiet room, wearing these is louder than sitting in the room without headphones. I get that noise cancellation involves creating an opposite sound wave, but they need to figure out how to tone this down in quiet environments or at least provide an option to turn it off. That being said, If you are going to be listening to music whenever you wear these and you don't have any dead air like you do when listening to a book, or podcast or making a phone call, these have great audio and might be right for you. Tough to decide between a 3 & 4 star. Had to drop it to 3 because of the price. At $300, you should be able to turn off noise cancelling.

      Hello Patrick, thank you for your review, I am sorry that the QuietComfort Earbuds II haven't met your expectations.
      This is normal operation for this type of audio equipment and should only be heard in quiet environments, when not listening to music, and ANC is on high.

    Qc II Ultra vs Sony WF-1000xm5

    Tried the Sony buds first. It was like there was no noise canceling. Returned to Best Buy, exchanged for Bose ultra 2s... No comparison. Bose way better product

    Great product. Don't even have to turn it to the max volume in loud environments. Best and loudest earbuds I've ever purchased.

    Small Issues Made Difficult Usage

    I wanted to love these but lack of control over personalization settings and the finicky nature made them difficult to manage. While they provided great noise cancelling and good sound quality, there were 2 aspects that irked me so bad I had to return them: 1. the tap-to-play function was too sensitive, couldn't be turned off. music would randomly turn on and off / skip tracks. 2. low battery alerts were too loud, couldn't be turned off. I adjust buds often and don't like having my listening interrupted, so these 2 aspects were deal-breakers for me. But maybe to others they wouldn't care as much.

    Not good for phone calls

    Fantastic noise canceling and sound output. However don't expect your friends or family to hear you if making a call. People were struggling to hear me when I was in a quiet room! Forget about being heard in a busy area like a shopping center or airport. If you are only using these for music and to block sound then these are the buds for you!

      It is great that you love the fantastic noise-cancelling and sound of the earbuds. It is odd that the microphone is having trouble picking up your voice for calls. Please make sure that the earbuds are correctly positioned in your ears when worn, as incorrect positioning would affect voice pick up on calls.     Quiet comfort 3’s

    I really love this product. I sleep next to an extremely loud snorer and the quiet comfort 3’s completely drowns out the noise. I love this product, I don’t know how I have lived this long without it. The only issue that I have had with them is they take a hair longer to connect over AirPods. Overall I would take these over AirPods any day. I love this product!

    Bose is always a Big Boss

    Bose product is the no.1 choice of all audio’s and can’t compare to other brand. There’s a lot of options out there but still you can be more satisfied with the sound outcome of Bose. I’ve been a customer of Bose eversince and always happy with all my purchased items. I will still be looking forward of any new Bose product in the future

    I have two pair,and the noise canceling is so great once you put them in your ears you hear nothing but the sound coming through the earbuds,and immersive audio makes you think you are at a live concert,great job BOSE

    i owned the original quiet comforts and love them decide to give these a try …i work at ford and it can get very loud on the assembly line , they have good cancellation but there was some sort of problem when on a phone call that made it where all the background noise would be super loud and kinda muffled . The originals are so much better in that environment. Im sure theyd work decently at home but im not sure how a call would be in say a crowd or busy restaurant.

    Bose earbuds continue to get better and better. These Ultra’s are the latest greatness. I use them daily,Bose earbuds are the only ones for me. Bestbuy is so nice to deal with if i have a problem they are always there quickly. The Bestbuy warranty is bulletproof.

    Okay, i have had these for over 3 months pros the noise cancellation is phenomenal now the cons( there is alot ) getting them to connect is not the easiest. The call sound is absolute garbage if im driving everyone complains it picks up everything. Charging- im having issues now where the buds wont sit in the case amd charge properly. For 300$ buds I expected alot more the airpod pros work 10times better than these buds

      It's wonderful to see that you find the noise cancelling phenomenal. The earbuds not charging correctly, and the calls picking up lots of noise can be resolved via the same steps. Please make sure that the stability bands of the earbuds are correctly aligned following our guide here https://bose.life/46mOBQg as incorrectly aligned bands can stop the earbuds sitting correctly for charging, and not correctly picking up your voice.

    Great noise canceling. Sound is good but not as good as the previous version. They have a shorter use time before recharging is necessary.

    Ultras are hands down better than Quiet Comfort 2

    Had the Quiet Comfort 2, had issues with connection to my Android phone. Several other ussues. The Ultras have corrected those issues experienced with the QC 2 earbuds. The noise cancelling is great, I have not nor will I use them for phone calls, buy these with confidence.

    Issues Need to Be Addressed!

    I've been a Bose customer for 20+ years. After owning these for 1 week, I will be returning to BB and exchanging them for another brand. There were issues right out of the box. After opening and charging them, there were issues with my iPhone 12 linking up. My Bose app was updated. After a handful of attempts they finally linked. The sound was outstanding! I wore them for not even an hour and placed them back into the case. I went to the gym the next day and when I put them on, I was surprised and disappointed to see that they were less than 10% charged. Luckily, I have another pair of Bose, (QC2's), as backup. I recharged them overnight. I went back to the gym the next day and they worked fine for the day. Then I put them away for a couple days. Well, this morning I went to the gym, and the right earbud was not working even though the app was saying that they were fully charged. Bose Q/A department needs to maybe pay attention a little better. For what they charge, one would expect little to no issues.

    Disappointed

    I bought the quiet comfort noise cancelling ear buds, and they fit perfect in my ear, sound quality is good, but they keep going out of cancellinng mode. The sound changes when it is in immersion mode and its sound good then it will sound bad. These are a disappointing compared to the other quiet comfort!

You may want to check that you're using the "Motion" immersion setting, so the music will follow your head movements.
