Faulty product that will break on you
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve 4 break on me in a row. Kept having to return them and my current one is still broken. The earbuds pieces either break because they are flimsy (even though I am delicate with them), the sound will go out in on ear completely, and the Bluetooth barely connects. The only good thing I have to say is that the customer service is good at replacing them for free, and the sound quality is okay when it DOES work. The Bose QC1 was better, it didn’t break for a long time. But when I got my replacement QC2, I started having problems within ONE WEEK of my purchase EACH time I had to replace them. Whoever is running Bose is clearly making their products cheaper and flimsier in order to maximize profits. Welp you’ve lost a customer. I’m never buying from Bose again

Posted .I'm sorry to hear of your poor experience with the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, Zygo! Needing multiple exchange products is unusual; if the earbuds are handled properly, they shouldn't become physically damaged. However, if the audio is going out in one ear or if the buds are just not connecting, try rebooting your mobile device and clearing the Bluetooth pairing list on both sides. If issues persist, our customer service team would like to take a closer look, to see what exactly is happening: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for music and running etc. Horrible for phone calls for you and the reciever, tone is way to low, they can hear you, but you can barely hear them. No wireless charging, no multipoint connecting. Too much money for what you get. Sony wf 1000xm5 earbuds for the win!!

Posted .Hello,
It's great to hear you enjoyed using the QC Ultra Earbuds for running and enjoying your music. With calls, you should get fantastic audio reproduction from calls sent from your smartphone, assuming the phone is kept close by. If you find the connection to be poor, try establishing a new connection as this should help.
We hear you. Some people enjoy wireless charging so we have created a small case that attaches to the charging case to bring that functionality you enjoy. Contact us to learn more about that. https://bose.life/3ET4mCs.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best earbuds I've ever had. Excellent sound quality. I can hear all the details of music (even complicated metal tracks). Noise cancelling is really amazing and, to me, yes! it's best in class.

Bose Ear Bud Speaker - small devices with big soun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose never disappoints when it comes to sound quality. These little guys are no exception. The only downside for me is that I can't seem to keep them in my ears. Still 5 star worthy.

Avoid - Buggy app = disconnects (search online)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dirty little secret if you search online, that many users are plagued with a bug that causes random, repeated disconnects that require deleting, resetting and repairing of these buds - to work; and then go through the whole thing again the next day you use them. OR - you must delete thier buggy connection app on your phone, in which case you can no longer change the earbud options since the app controls all that I just got hit with this after 9 amazing months; I've owned several pairs of the QC headphones since they first came out and use them all the time while flying. I fell in love with the earbuds after switching but my last 2 flights have completely changed my attitude. On both flights, the earbuds dropped my iphone connection and refused to reconnect. On thei first flight, it happened mid-trip. So I attempted a reset and re-pair process, to suddenly learn Bose REQUIRES internet connection for their app to repair. AND the buds default to transparent mode, so I had no connection to entertainment and NO noise cancelling for roughly 4 hours...miserable. Yesterday, it disconnected again while we were taxing, so I did manage to discreetly use my cell service to reconnect and repair. It disconnected again after 2 minutes in the air, and so all I could do was sit in silence for a 5 hour flight. Now, I just checked the internet and see all kinds of posts from users having the same issue with their buds, typically weeks or months after use. But the infuriating thing is Bose has known about this problem for at lest 2 years based on the post dates and the application has not been fixed. So, I just deleted my iphone app - and now have no way to change the listening options or EQ settings....but it does now stay connected. WAY too much money to spend on a buggy product. I'll go back to the headphones.

Posted .Thanks for your review of the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get on at all well with them on your flights!
I'm afraid I can't confirm that a bug causing these random disconnections exists. In addition, I haven't heard of the Bose app containing faults that require the deletion of the app itself in order for the earbuds to stay connected.
If your earbuds do drop their connection and won't reconnect, the best thing to try is the relevant troubleshooting. I would firstly recommend rebooting your iPhone, as this can help create a strong Bluetooth connection to your earbuds. A reset is also a good thing to try, I'm sorry to hear that didn't help on your first flight.
What I can confirm is that firmware update 1.7.6 has introduced some Bluetooth connectivity and stability improvements. These might help, so I'd also recommend keeping the firmware of your earbuds up to date with the latest version.
I hope the above information is useful. Don't forget that our support team will also be on hand to provide any further assistance, if needed: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US.

So close but yet so far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly I would like to add I have been fully invested in the Bose audio products over the last 15 years and I have been very impressed by them. These earbuds however have been disappointing at best. I have at the same time a set of Bose Open Ultra buds (which I really like) and I have had none of the issues I will address in this review. I was looking for a pair of noise cancelling earbuds for in the office and I was sure the bose QC Ultras would have been the answer. I have had 4 (yes four) pairs of these which have had similar and yet varied connection issues. I have had issues connecting and saying connected to these to both Android and Apple phones and two different windows 11 laptops. I have had issues with out-of- phase sound to the two ear buds, dropping connection to the app/phones, lack of connection and remaining connected to the laptops. I have found with two of these pairs of earbuds I had to constantly perform a factory reset on the buds to re-establish the connection. At the same time I have a paid close attention to the step-by-step instructions, where I have had issues I have followed through on recommendations from Bose help all to no avail. Ultimately, I gave up on Bose for this application and went to the Sony XM5 earbuds. I have had them for a few days now and there has been a connect one and forget aspect to these with both my mobile phones and laptop. I can recommend them. One final point I would like to add is the fantastic support and no hassle exchange on these Bose earbuds through Best Buy. There has been no problems with the exchange/replacement and this has been refreshing from a consumer point of view. I would highly recommend Best Buy on this experience

Posted .Hello Jim, thank you for your review. I'm sad to hear that you didn't get on at all with your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, despite having been a long-time Bose fan.
It certainly isn't normal for four pairs to have connection issues. Since you tried a wide range of devices (Android, iOS and laptops), perhaps it would be worth looking at the environment you were using the earbuds in. My suggestion would be to try a different environment, to compare performance there. Environments with a lot of wireless signal activity have been known to cause interference issues with electronic products.
If Bose can be of any further assistance to you in future, please don't hesitate to get back in touch with our support team: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US.

Terrible battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Must have a bad pair but online search showed it’s a fairly common problem… my battery life is terrible maybe 3-4 hours and my case won’t charge them past 80% even overnight. Unreliable charging and crap battery life is making me return them. Amazing ANC and audio so sad to have to find something else

Posted .Thanks for your review. The battery life of the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds is 6 hours with Immersive Audio off, and 4 hours with Immersive Audio on. However, a case with 100% charge will power the earbuds for up to an additional 18 hours. If you're experiencing issues with charging your case up to full, please contact our customer support team, who will be happy to troubleshoot. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Customer Support

Surprised about the Background Noise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I get complaints from those on Team meetings that they get a lot of background noise from these headphones. I'm not sure why as my study door was shut. I was told like someone was moving boxes or something rubbing on your shirt.
