Great ANC, good intuitive controls, except for the media controls put into a single button. And comfortable, they adjust really well and feel very lightweight on the head.

Un-matched noise cancelling ability. Sound is is top notch, connectivity is also pretty good. Only real drawback is battery life.

Though I ended up returning these, I loved the comfort and sound quality. At first, I wasn't too fond of the spatial audio or Immersive feature as initially, it sounded too articial. After some days using it in this mode and I swtiched back to the Sony XM5s at had bought at the same time, I preferred the sound in Immersive over the XM5s. For me, the Bose did not run as "hot" as the Sony's. The XM5s made my ears hot and the Bose didn't. I live in Chicago and commute on buses and trains, and the Bose kept tuned out my surroundings during my rides. Outside in the cold, the Aware mode sounded almost as good as the Transperancy mode on the AirPods Maxs (returned those too because they were too heavy) and kept my ears warm. The QuietComfort Ultras are great if you commute and travel a lot like I do. Ultimately, someone gave me the Bose 700s for free and that was the only reason why I ended up returning these. If that did not happen, I recommend these over the Sonys, though the XM5s have superior battery life to both the Bose and Airpod Max.

So comfortable with a really wonderful sound quality. Take these with me on long flights and the battery lasts forever. I'm so thrilled with my purchase. Can't be without these on long hauls. Noise cancelling is a lifesaver with screaming babies.

Deep base for me personally are a huge pro. EQ adjustable settings in the app are all you really need. Battery life is reasonable. Connectivity is fine, but it can take some getting used to.

Sounds better than the Bose 700 I have. Better bass. The immersive audio could use an update for better head tracking. I’m sure a new firmware is in the works. I didn’t realize it doesn’t have the touch sensor on the earcup like Bose 700 before getting them. I think they got away from it to make room for bigger battery. Overall satisfied with the purchase.

I bought the Bose QC Ultra headphones last month, and I’m really impressed. The sound quality, noise cancellation, and spatial audio are all excellent, and the headphones are very lightweight and comfortable. Connecting to devices is seamless, and the Bose Music app makes everything easy to control.

Great quality, does everything I need it to. It looks fantastic as well. Easy connection for iphone once you get the hang of it. App is easy to use as well that comes with it. Got it on a sale so it was considerably better value than everything around its price range.

    ANC King of the Hill

TLDR: Best ANC headphones on the market with a few fixable flaws. If you want better sounding headphones, be prepared to open up your wallet and hear a lot more of the outside world. If you’re looking for the best ANC headphones out there, the Bose QC Ultra’s are the way to go. This is my first pair of Bose headphones and I’ve been blown away by their ANC performance. I’m not new to the ANC headphone scene-I previously owned the Sony XM4’s and XM5’s, and the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s and 4’s. The QC Ultra’s surpass all of them when it comes to noise cancellation. The ANC is a little more effective than the Sony’s and considerably better than the Sennheiser’s. These aren’t audiophile headphones but for the average listener, like myself, these sound great. I think the Sennheiser’s sound a little better but it’s not a significant advantage. If you’re looking for “higher quality” sounding headphones, you’re going to have sacrifice ANC performance and spend a decent amount more. I’ve tried a few of the more upscale headphones and they do sound better but the ANC isn’t anywhere close to the QC Ultra’s. The build quality is solidly above average. It’s mostly plastic with synthetic leather but adds a touch of luxury with genuine aluminum accents. Outside of the Momentum 3’s, the QC Ultra’s have the best build quality. They’re light but don’t feel or look cheap. Unlike a lot of other headphones in this segment, these do fold so they come with a smaller case. The case isn’t extremely rigid but feels relatively solid. I wouldn’t be worried about these getting crushed when throwing them in a suitcase or backpack. This shouldn’t really be a pro but, yes, you can manually turn the Ultra’s off. So what’s not too hot? The battery life is mediocre/average. Compared to all of the ANC headphones I’ve owned, they have the worst battery life. I use these daily and have to charge them more frequently than the others. It’s not horrible but when compared to the 60 hour (give or take) battery life of the Momentum 4’s, the mediocrity really stands out. For some reason, Bose decided not to give users the option of turning off ANC. I suspect that having that option would improve battery life significantly. The app is ok but the EQ is pretty basic. You can’t save individual sound profiles and easily switch between them like with the Sony’s or Sennheiser’s. Again, I have no idea why they took that route. If enough people complain, hopefully they’ll update the ANC off and EQ through a software update. The last complaint is mostly cosmetic and seems to be an issue with a lot of other headphones. The finish of the ear cups are fingerprint magnets. It doesn’t matter when you’re jamming at home but who wants to be in public with greasy looking headphones. Overall, I really like the QC Ultra’s and will use them until they fall apart. I wanted the most effective ANC headphones and these fit the bill. They sound great and I love using them every day. They’re far from perfect but do the best job of suppressing all that chitter chatter in the background. If you cam get these on sale, i think they’re one of the best bargains available.

Very comfortable and light compared to my AirPods Max. ANC is right on par with the XM6, but less clamp force versus the xm6. Touch controls are a little finicky but not a deal breaker.

Absolutely love these Bose QCU's. Found them in the Returns case and picked them up at a great discount. So comfortable and the sound is incredible. The app is easy to navigate and lets me experience sound like I've never heard.
