I've had them over a week now and they're good enough for me to come back and give a 5 star review here. I tried the xm4s, couldn't stand how they sounded after many eq attempts, tried the momentum 4s and loved those for music but they proved too uncomfortable to wear long term (the right ear driver jabbed into my right ear) And I tried B&W px7 in store, airpod max in store, bang olefson in store - all those were just kinda meh, in my opinion. I really think i prefer the ultras in every category, they might be the best all around over-the-ear blue tooths you can get right now. They check every box pretty solidly. I do prefer the sound of sennheiser momentums but it's a trade off i can accept, and the bose ultras do sound good too. I don't mean they good enough, I mean they sound actually good. But it's a unique good sound. I've never necessarily been a fan of the bose sound, not that I hated it, but I always considered it only good enough. It's its own vibe, I guess. But these, the ultras, this version of the bose sound, I actually like. I can say for sure these are more enjoyable to listen to than the QC35 II which I've used a ton. And there's the spatial audio, which I think some people are hating on. But I think it's fine and more or less pretty good. It enhances more often than hinders a thing, and it hasn't been my experience that it degrades any thing I've listen to. And I kinda like both of the spatial settings. The one that follows your movement - it's a little different than how apple does it, in that the sound stage still has a bit of float to it versus being glued in place, and in my opinion this creates kind of a positive effect when I'm bobbing my head along or just bouncing a bit walking down the sidewalk. As far as far as battery, ux, nc, weight and comfort...good, good, great, awesome and awesome Any other minor tech quirks i bet will get ironed out down the road, but that said, nothing has really bothered me personally [lastly, i apologize for hating on sony too hard, that was really uncalled for. honestly, if you really like sonys, great! - keep on rockin on]

Outstanding Audio Experience with Unparalleled Comfort - Bose QuietComfort Ultra I recently got my hands on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones in black, and they have truly transformed my listening experience. Here’s why I believe these are a standout choice for anyone seeking top-notch sound quality and comfort. Design and Comfort: Right out of the box, the sleek black design of the QuietComfort Ultra headphones exudes a premium feel. The over-the-ear design is incredibly comfortable, with plush ear cups that provide a snug fit without feeling too tight. I can wear these for hours without any discomfort, thanks to their lightweight build and well-padded headband. Sound Quality: The audio quality is simply phenomenal. Bose has once again delivered rich, balanced sound with a clarity that brings every note to life. Whether I’m listening to classical music, podcasts, or bass-heavy tracks, the QuietComfort Ultra handles everything with remarkable precision. The bass is punchy yet not overwhelming, and the mids and highs are crystal clear, making for an immersive listening experience. Noise Cancelling Performance: The noise-cancelling capabilities of these headphones are unmatched. They effortlessly drown out background noise, whether it's the hum of a busy coffee shop or the drone of airplane engines. The adjustable noise-cancelling feature is a game-changer, allowing me to customize the level of ambient sound I want to let in. This feature is especially useful for staying aware of my surroundings while still enjoying my music. Wireless Convenience and Battery Life: The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, providing a stable connection without any drops or delays. Pairing the headphones with my devices was quick and hassle-free. The battery life is impressive, offering up to 20 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. Plus, the quick-charge feature gives me an additional 2.5 hours of playback with just a 15-minute charge, which is perfect for those moments when I’m in a hurry. Smart Features and Controls: The touch-sensitive controls on the ear cups are intuitive and responsive, making it easy to adjust volume, skip tracks, or take calls without needing to pull out my phone. The built-in voice assistant support is another convenient feature, allowing for hands-free operation and quick access to my phone’s assistant for various tasks. Conclusion: In summary, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones in black are a top-tier choice for anyone who values exceptional sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and all-day comfort. They are worth every penny and have quickly become my go-to headphones for both travel and daily use. Bose continues to set the bar high in the world of audio equipment, and these headphones are a testament to their commitment to excellence.

This is Bose's current flagship over the ear headphones. I'm reviewing the White Smoke edition. Style and comfort: Very comfortable, can wear these for hours without any discomfort. The headband is very well cushioned, with links that are metal, in a brushed nickel finish. The styling is very much like traditional Bose products, with more refined lines and the metal links giving it a more modern and appealing look. Sound: Like with other Bose products, the sound is very natural and crisp. The large drivers provide a lot of detail and nuance. There is a three-band Eq through the app. In it's basic setting, adjusting the Eq to my liking provides a very enjoyable soundstage. Controls: Everything can be controlled through the Bose app, which is very clean and intuitive. However most of the time I'd be using the controls from the headphones. Bose went back to the drawing board with this and is now much simplified and intuitive. First of all, the headphones automatically play and pause when putting them on or removing them. Then there are only two buttons: The smaller on the bottom is the Bluetooth and power: One press turns the headphones on or off, and holding it goes into pairing mode. Removing the headphones goes into standby after 10 minutes and stays in standby for 24 hours, however I changed it through the app to power off instead of standby. The amount of time is configurable. The other, larger button controls everything else: Click once for play/pause, 2-click for FF and 3-click for REV. Holding it changes the audio modes. For volume control there is a touch-sensitive strip that's clearly marked and can be easily felt. I usually dislike touch controls on headphones but I have to say, this works very well. It's on an indentation on the back side of the right headphone and it's very easy to use. Also, holding this strip instead of swiping enables an optional shortcut that's configurable via the app or disabled. For example, can be used to invoke the phone's assistant. The multi-function button also works for phone calls. Charging is via USB-C and also has a 2.5mm analog audio jack. Audio modes: The hallmark of QuietComfort headphones is the noise cancellation. This works very well. I used it while using a gas lawnmower and the noise became a faint hum and I was able to listen at normal levels. I also very much like the aware mode which amplifies external sounds in a very unobtrusive way, and will also mute very loud sounds. I generally use this around the house or when walking. One of the improvements on these headphones are the immersive audio modes: There are basically two of these: - The still immersive mode maxes up noise cancellation and adds soundstage to the audio. It gives a small echo and some equalization to make it sound more present; it automatically adjusts fade as one moves the head left and right to make the sound feel like coming in front of you. It's interesting and works very well. - The motion immersive mode is similar but for when walking, so the center stage effect is not as pronounced. The Bose Music app is the same app that works for all of their recent Smart Speakers and other Bluetooth devices. Pretty much everything can be customized from the app: Controls, Eq, sound modes, and Bluetooth connections. The app is very simple to use and very intuitive, with a clean design that obviously Bose put a lot of thought into it. The Bluetooth implementation on Bose headphones is to me among the best: One can rename the headphones, and it allows for multipoint connections: It can pair to two devices at the same time, like a phone, tablet computer or a newer Bose soundbar (which I use and works as intended). The list of paired and connected devices can be controlled from the app. It's very easy to remove a device from the app itself. Great if lending the headphones and don't want to reset them afterwards. One doesn't have to mess with combinations of clicks on the Bluetooth buttons as everything is logically organized in the app. Phone calls work very well as expected, and the headphones announce the calling number on top of the phone's ring tone and calling name. The mics on the headphone work well as expected. Some specs: Up to 24 hours battery, BT 5.3 with LE, and Bose now uses Qualcomm chips so it also supports APT-X. It also comes with a color-matching semi-rigid case, as well as color-matching USB-C to USB and 3.5mm audio cable. The earcups are replaceable. The case is minimalistic and doesn't take a whole lot of space. The headphones fold flat. Overall, excellent, top of the line headphones (with a price to match).

Upon opening the box, these are pretty great headphones from initial impressions. Because they fold up, the case is pretty small and compact (and a hard shell, not a flimsy cloth bag). Inside, there is a small pocket to hold the included adapters for 2.5mm to 3.5mm and a USB-A to USB-C. The headphones themselves are high quality with solid build and metal construction, with no creaks whatsoever. Each side extends smoothly with the right amount of friction and resistance. The new feature is a slider on the bottom of the right ear cup that controls the volume. It works pretty well and quickly. Noise cancellation works pretty well in my testing, and sound quality is excellent, with deep bass and good mid/highs - typical Bose to have good sound. The Immersive Mode is a bit strange though. While it can provide either the typical ‘fixed’ Spatial sound or the head-tracking Spatial mode, the head-tracking is weird in that it “moves” with your head and isn’t instant. The best way to describe it is as if there is a speaker in front of you that is locked onto your face, and when you move your head, it takes about a half second for the speaker to reposition itself in front of you. The buttons on the right cup that control everything are mostly intuitive. The Bose app works as intended - you can set the different EQ as well as modes for noise cancelling. The two main issues I had with the device were the auto play/pause and pairing - sometimes when I would take the headphones off, or put them back on, they wouldn’t detect the change and either not resume playing or wouldn’t stop. For pairing, upon powering on sometimes it would not say it was connected, even after waiting up to 30 seconds. I am sure that these two could be fixed with a software update. All in all, these headphones deliver on the fundamentals of premium build quality, impressive sound/noise cancellation, and long battery life. It is just some of the more advanced features that seem to not be completely ironed out.

As a longtime Bose user, I’ve consistently been impressed with their audio products, and the QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are no exception. I didn’t initially plan to upgrade, but after trying them in-store, I couldn’t resist—especially after catching them on sale during Prime Day (also discounted in-store). The sound on these headphones is phenomenal, as expected from Bose. The noise-canceling is top-notch, instantly muting distractions and allowing for a deeply immersive listening experience. Whether I’m working, traveling, or just relaxing, the clarity and depth of the audio—especially in the mids and highs—are crisp and balanced. The bass isn’t overpowering but still delivers that solid thump for bass-heavy tracks. Comfort is a huge factor, especially for long listening sessions, and Bose nailed it. The plush ear cushions and lightweight build make these headphones incredibly easy to wear for hours. However, I do wish they offered more color options. My previous pair was navy blue, and while black is sleek, it feels a bit standard. It’d be great to see more variety in the future. The battery life on these headphones is impressive as well, lasting through extended workdays without needing a charge. Wireless connectivity is seamless, and the multipoint feature makes switching between devices smooth and efficient. Overall, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra delivers everything you’d expect from a premium pair of wireless noise-canceling headphones—excellent sound, top-tier comfort, and seamless functionality. If you’re a fan of high-quality audio, these are definitely worth the investment. A few more color options would be a welcome addition, but that’s a small quibble for an otherwise outstanding product.

I work on a floor with lots of phone calls coming in. With these I never hear anything outside of what I am listening to. If coworkers need me, they either have to message me or come over to my cube to get my attention. These also flawlessly work with my cell phone and office PC via Bluetooth at the same time. Also call quality and people hearing me works great without a microphone hanging out the front. Also very comfortable on my head and battery lasts all day!

The Bose Quiet Comfort headphones are my second pair of Bose headphones. The first I’ve owned was the Truesound from 2015. I still use it today. I’ve replaced the earpads but they work as if they are still brand new. I would expect these Quiet Comforts to last just as long. They are comfortable to wear and adjust well over my head. The headband flexes and bends over my head. When putting them on, it filters out most of the noise around me. There is an app for Android and iOS. I currently have it paired to my Pixel 8 Pro. It comes with USBC charging cables (USB-A to USB-C). I’m glad more and more devices are using USBC. It also comes with 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cables. You can use these cables to connect the headphones to your audio device via headphone jack. On Android, the Bose app is horrible. It only works the first time I connect the headphones via bluetooth. Afterwards, the phone connects fine, and Android recognizes it. But the Bose app fails to connect. I would have to reset and connect all over again. You do not need to use the app to use the headphones. If the phone connects to it, then it will work. You just cannot change your settings like noise cancelling or other modes. The touch sensitive volume control on the right earphone is responsive. You can connect to a couple of other devices as well. The app needs a lot of work on Android but overall, the quality of the headphones is great. Noise cancelling is great. It has a good amount of bass, not too much.

Tested these in store and I’m not sure how anyone buys anything else. Sound quality beats the competition. The bass is fantastic. Deducting one star only because the volume doesn’t get as high as I like in the immersive audio setting. This is okay though because we probably shouldn’t have these things that loud anyway. Don’t waste your money on other brands. Don’t even waste your money on the quiet comfort headphones. If you can afford Bose, please just get these! I’ve had them for a few months now and they work just as well as when I first bought them. The charge lasts forever. The connectivity is seamless.

      Hi.
Thank you for posting. There are two timers in your headphones that can power off your headphones if they are not used for a period of time to conserve power. The Auto-off setting, which is adjustable in the Bose app and the Motion Detection timer will turn off your headphones If no movement is detected for 60 minutes. With the cushions, those are made from protein leather, which can naturally deteriorate over time with use. This can be accelerated by environmental factors such as heat and humidity, but the great news is that we do stock replacement cushions. If you require further assistance, please get in touch with us at https://bose.life/3BgUIIU. We would love to help.

Love these head phones I bought a pair for my wife and I. Her the rose gold and myself the black. I was decideding between these and the sony. I'm glad I chose these. I will start with the fact that the carrying case is very slim and easily stored for travel. The headphones fold and twist a certain way to fit in. It can be a little confusing at first. We love these for airplane travel. completely blocks out the airplane drone in quiet mode. The eq changer is nice. chage to alert mode and you can hear everything around you. change to quiet or immersive and you cannot hear someone directly infront of you talking. pretty crazy technology. they are light and very comfy for long term use I have found. Battery lasts a really long time went on a 5 hour flight, used them the whole time, and the batttery only went down to 80%. These are about as nice as you can get for the money. Unless you are an audiophile going up from here I think would be a waste the bass sounds amazing. These are awesome and I'm glad I bought them!

I settled on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones after an underwhelming experience with the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4, and testing out my friend's Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. The Bose are the best for cancelling out loud city noises, annoying neighbor noises in apartment buildings, and construction noises. All while having amazing battery life. These headphones are a comfortable fit, they are lightweight and have the ability for connectivity to two devices at the same time. The call audio is great, the companion application is easy to use and allows customizable EQ settings. The carrying case is leather like has a nice simple design. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

    Excellent Noise Cancelling Headphones

I have recently started going back into the office, but after working from home for 3 years, I can't stand all the noise in the office. I needed something to help me focus, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are just what I needed. These are my first noise cancelling headphones and I'm very impressed. HARDWARE: The build quality is excellent. The headphones fit nicely in the compact case that is provided. A nice touch they added is an image inside the case to show you the proper position the headphones should go in the case. The headphones are comfortable to wear, from the ear cups, to the padding against your head. USABILITY: The headphones have two buttons, one for controlling the music and audio modes and the other for power and phone connectivity. It's easy to switch audio modes, pause, change tracks, etc. There is a virtual slider on the ear cup for changing the volume. I really like how easy it is to change the volume using that slider without having extra buttons. SOUND QUALITY: The sound quality is excellent. I'm not a hardcore audiophile, but I can appreciate the sound quality is much better than the top tier ear buds I previously used. What I'm really impressed is with the noise cancellation. I didn't realize how much noise it would filter out. I tested it at work and the phone conversations were almost completely filtered out, whereas they used to drive me nuts. As i write this review I'm wearing the headphones so I can focus while my son is watching TV. FEATURES: The setup with the app was very easy and the app itself is great. By you have 3 modes configured by default: Quiet, Aware and Immersion. You can add or remove any that you want and you can customize the amount of noise cancelling, on a scale of 1-10. You can adjust the EQ using the app, I like to boost the bass. The only negative think about these headphones is the voice it uses for feedback, like telling you what device it's connected to or what mode you just switched to. It's just really horrible and hard to listen to. Fortunately you don't have to listen to it very often, but there are much better voice readers out there, so it's kind of disappointing. Ultimately, the voice doesn't affect the experience all that much. BOTTOM LINE: I am so glad I have these headphones when for when I go into the office, but I'll be using them for more than just noise cancellation. The audio quality is superior to anything I've had before, so I'll be reaching for these headphones next time I listen to music. I would definitely recommend these headphones.

Headphones is the best, it work as advertised. Used on my travel and it was comfortable through my 8 hour plane ride. Headphone was light it you won't feel like its on your head, sound quality is a bit bassy but you can tune the sound on the app, noise cancelation and noise ambiet is great, but the only problem is remembering the functions on your headphones. I watched movies and listen to music and the batteries life was enough for me. I bought 2 of these phones because I did not want to share with my wife.

Connecting and setup on these headphones was easy and fast. Scan the QR code and download the Bose app and you are in business. The headphones come in a nice padded case. Sturdy construction and easy to adjust. The earpads are very comfortable and fit nicely over the ears. It would be nice to see some fun colors instead of just black and white. Also included are 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm audio cable and a USB-C (A to C) cable that is 20” long. With the Bose app you can adjust setting modes. You can also adjust on the headphones (right ear) by a long press on the control button allows you to change settings. A short press is for pause / resume. There is also a volume control strip where you can slide your finger to increase / decrease volume. On your left ear there is a 2.5mm jack. Quiet - highs hit harder and bass drops the deepest. Aware - hear your music and surroundings with full transparency. Immersion - combine full noise cancellation and Bose Immersive Audio for best sound quality. Equalizer – works well and easy to adjust. Immersive Audio – Spatial audio makes the sound more realistic as it comes at you from all angles – just like in real life. Still / Motion settings – will you be sitting or moving? Tailored sound that analyzes the shape of your ears, adapts any distortion to give the best sound quality. Spatial audio makes the sound more realistic as it comes at you from all angles – just like in real life. Call quality was very good. Two of my calls had poorer audio quality but that may have been partially on the other end. Bose says the range is 30’ but I was able to extend that to 36-40’. Quality was fine until it lost connection. My usage was varied as I used all 3 modes so my battery life was about 21 hours. Immersion mode uses the most battery. Charging took just under 3 hours from about 5%. Highly recommended.

I understand that these headphones are expensive, but if you can afford them or are considering investing in them, I believe they are absolutely worth it. I previously owned the Sony XM5 headphones and enjoyed them, but the case was too large and inconvenient to carry around. After conducting research, I decided to return the XM5s and purchase the Bose QC Ultra headphones, and I was extremely impressed. The QC Ultra headphones are constructed with better quality materials and are incredibly comfortable to wear for extended periods. The sound quality is also exceptional. While the Sony headphones are a good choice, the Bose headphones offer superior comfort, portability, sound, and overall quality. Although the microphone on the Bose headphones is not as good as the Sony headphones, the difference is not significant. In my opinion, Bose headphones are the superior choice.

I love these over the are headphones. I’m a music lover, I need to hear my highs , mids and bass . I need to hear a full sound and these Bose provided a great rounded sound. And battery life is completely awesome. They last a long time, and when you have them in the case , they last for weeks or months. I charged my headphones to 100% and used for a couple of hours and then put them back in the case and haven’t used them for months and it still had 60% months later . I could not believe it. I initially bought these for a flight and used them on the plane and they were comfortable and I didn’t hear much of the plane humming you hear. I definitely recommend these if you’re looking foot over the ear. 1 con: when you receive a call and answer, it will not connect to wireless automatically, need to switch to wireless on your phone (I have an iPhone) but otherwise, you hear clearly and the other person can hear you clearly as well.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are truly top-notch if you want to escape the world. Their noise cancellation is simply unmatched, silencing everything from commutes to office chatter so your music or podcasts really shine. They sound fantastic right out of the box, offering rich audio that you can even fine-tune to your liking through the app, and the new "Immersive Audio" feature adds a cool spatial effect to your sound. Plus, they're incredibly comfortable, perfect for wearing all day without any discomfort. I get solid battery life and clear calls too, making them an excellent all-around choice. While they're a bit pricey, the performance and comfort make them a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about their audio.

These headphones are amazing great quality, sleek look and a heck of a lot better my opinion than the Apple headphones and I’m an Apple guy. They are easy to use and comes with a nice carrying case as well. Battery lasts a long time and connectivity is very easy
