Bose QC Ultra Headphones Review – Great Value 279
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Bose QC Ultra headphones for $279, especially since the Gen 2 model is priced at $450. After using them, it’s hard to justify paying that much more because the differences are minimal. The noise cancellation is excellent, which is where Bose really shines. They block out airplane noise, traffic, and background chatter very effectively. Sound quality is clean and well-balanced, with solid bass that doesn’t overwhelm vocals or mids. Comfort is another strong point. The headphones are lightweight and easy to wear for long periods. Battery life is also good and more than enough for daily use or travel. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. The microphone quality during phone calls is disappointing for a headset at this price. Call clarity isn’t great, and people on the other end often mention that my voice sounds distant or unclear. I also didn’t enjoy the “follow your head” option in Immersive Audio mode. It feels more distracting than immersive and doesn’t add much to the listening experience for me. Overall, at the $279 sale price, the QC Ultra headphones are a solid buy.

Here’s why I believe these are a standout choice for anyone seeking top-notch sound quality and comfort. Design and Comfort: Right out of the box, the sleek black design of the QuietComfort Ultra headphones exudes a premium feel. The over-the-ear design is incredibly comfortable, with plush ear cups that provide a snug fit without feeling too tight. I can wear these for hours without any discomfort, thanks to their lightweight build and well-padded headband. Sound Quality: The audio quality is simply phenomenal. Bose has once again delivered rich, balanced sound with a clarity that brings every note to life. Whether I’m listening to classical music, podcasts, or bass-heavy tracks, the QuietComfort Ultra handles everything with remarkable precision. The bass is punchy yet not overwhelming, and the mids and highs are crystal clear, making for an immersive listening experience. Noise Cancelling Performance: The noise-cancelling capabilities of these headphones are unmatched. They effortlessly drown out background noise, whether it's the hum of a busy coffee shop or the drone of airplane engines. The adjustable noise-cancelling feature is a game-changer, allowing me to customize the level of ambient sound I want to let in. This feature is especially useful for staying aware of my surroundings while still enjoying my music. Wireless Convenience and Battery Life: The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, providing a stable connection without any drops or delays. Pairing the headphones with my devices was quick and hassle-free. The battery life is impressive, offering up to 20 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. Plus, the quick-charge feature gives me an additional 2.5 hours of playback with just a 15-minute charge, which is perfect for those moments when I’m in a hurry. Smart Features and Controls: The touch-sensitive controls on the ear cups are intuitive and responsive, making it easy to adjust volume, skip tracks, or take calls without needing to pull out my phone. The built-in voice assistant support is another convenient feature, allowing for hands-free operation and quick access to my phone’s assistant for various tasks. Conclusion: In summary, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones in black are a top-tier choice for anyone who values exceptional sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and all-day comfort. They are worth every penny and have quickly become my go-to headphones for both travel and daily use. Bose continues to set the bar high in the world of audio equipment, and these headphones are a testament to their commitment to excellence.

Great sound and noise cancellation, mixed controls
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon opening the box, these are pretty great headphones from initial impressions. Because they fold up, the case is pretty small and compact (and a hard shell, not a flimsy cloth bag). Inside, there is a small pocket to hold the included adapters for 2.5mm to 3.5mm and a USB-A to USB-C. The headphones themselves are high quality with solid build and metal construction, with no creaks whatsoever. Each side extends smoothly with the right amount of friction and resistance. The new feature is a slider on the bottom of the right ear cup that controls the volume. It works pretty well and quickly. Noise cancellation works pretty well in my testing, and sound quality is excellent, with deep bass and good mid/highs - typical Bose to have good sound. The Immersive Mode is a bit strange though. While it can provide either the typical ‘fixed’ Spatial sound or the head-tracking Spatial mode, the head-tracking is weird in that it “moves” with your head and isn’t instant. The best way to describe it is as if there is a speaker in front of you that is locked onto your face, and when you move your head, it takes about a half second for the speaker to reposition itself in front of you. The buttons on the right cup that control everything are mostly intuitive. The Bose app works as intended - you can set the different EQ as well as modes for noise cancelling. The two main issues I had with the device were the auto play/pause and pairing - sometimes when I would take the headphones off, or put them back on, they wouldn’t detect the change and either not resume playing or wouldn’t stop. For pairing, upon powering on sometimes it would not say it was connected, even after waiting up to 30 seconds. I am sure that these two could be fixed with a software update. All in all, these headphones deliver on the fundamentals of premium build quality, impressive sound/noise cancellation, and long battery life. It is just some of the more advanced features that seem to not be completely ironed out.

Honest Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Bose QuietComfort Ultra in Lunar Blue for a little while now, and overall, I’m impressed. The noise cancellation is extremely effective — it blocks out background sounds like traffic, conversations, and even low airplane hums really well. It makes studying or listening to music way more immersive. Sound quality is clear and balanced. The bass is present but not overpowering, and vocals come through crisp. I also like the immersive audio feature — it gives music a wider, more spacious feel. Comfort is one of the best parts. The ear cushions are soft, and I can wear them for long periods without discomfort. The Lunar Blue color looks clean and premium in person. Battery life has been solid so far, easily lasting me through multiple days of regular use before needing a charge. Overall, these feel like high-quality headphones that deliver strong noise cancellation, great sound, and all-day comfort.

Loyal Bose Client
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a longtime Bose user, I’ve consistently been impressed with their audio products, and the QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are no exception. I didn’t initially plan to upgrade, but after trying them in-store, I couldn’t resist—especially after catching them on sale during Prime Day (also discounted in-store). The sound on these headphones is phenomenal, as expected from Bose. The noise-canceling is top-notch, instantly muting distractions and allowing for a deeply immersive listening experience. Whether I’m working, traveling, or just relaxing, the clarity and depth of the audio—especially in the mids and highs—are crisp and balanced. The bass isn’t overpowering but still delivers that solid thump for bass-heavy tracks. Comfort is a huge factor, especially for long listening sessions, and Bose nailed it. The plush ear cushions and lightweight build make these headphones incredibly easy to wear for hours. However, I do wish they offered more color options. My previous pair was navy blue, and while black is sleek, it feels a bit standard. It’d be great to see more variety in the future. The battery life on these headphones is impressive as well, lasting through extended workdays without needing a charge. Wireless connectivity is seamless, and the multipoint feature makes switching between devices smooth and efficient. Overall, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra delivers everything you’d expect from a premium pair of wireless noise-canceling headphones—excellent sound, top-tier comfort, and seamless functionality. If you’re a fan of high-quality audio, these are definitely worth the investment. A few more color options would be a welcome addition, but that’s a small quibble for an otherwise outstanding product.

Exceptional Comfort, Sound, and Silence – Worth Ev
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra (Gen 1) truly lives up to its name. From the moment I put them on, the comfort stood out — lightweight, plush ear cushions, and zero pressure even after hours of use. These are easily the most comfortable headphones I’ve owned. The noise cancellation is phenomenal. Whether it’s airplane engines, office chatter, or everyday household noise, the QC Ultra creates an almost unreal sense of quiet. Bose has clearly perfected ANC, and this model sets a new benchmark. Sound quality is rich, balanced, and immersive. The bass is deep but controlled, mids are clear, and highs are crisp without being harsh. The immersive audio feature adds a spacious, almost surround-like feel that makes music and movies more engaging. Battery life is solid for daily use, and the controls are intuitive and responsive. Call quality is also excellent — voices come through clearly even in noisy environments. Overall, the Bose QC Ultra Gen 1 is a premium product that delivers on comfort, sound, and silence. If you’re looking for top-tier noise-canceling headphones that you can wear all day, this is an easy recommendation.

Android app is needs work
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose Quiet Comfort headphones are my second pair of Bose headphones. The first I’ve owned was the Truesound from 2015. I still use it today. I’ve replaced the earpads but they work as if they are still brand new. I would expect these Quiet Comforts to last just as long. They are comfortable to wear and adjust well over my head. The headband flexes and bends over my head. When putting them on, it filters out most of the noise around me. There is an app for Android and iOS. I currently have it paired to my Pixel 8 Pro. It comes with USBC charging cables (USB-A to USB-C). I’m glad more and more devices are using USBC. It also comes with 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cables. You can use these cables to connect the headphones to your audio device via headphone jack. On Android, the Bose app is horrible. It only works the first time I connect the headphones via bluetooth. Afterwards, the phone connects fine, and Android recognizes it. But the Bose app fails to connect. I would have to reset and connect all over again. You do not need to use the app to use the headphones. If the phone connects to it, then it will work. You just cannot change your settings like noise cancelling or other modes. The touch sensitive volume control on the right earphone is responsive. You can connect to a couple of other devices as well. The app needs a lot of work on Android but overall, the quality of the headphones is great. Noise cancelling is great. It has a good amount of bass, not too much.

Premium Sound, Comfort, and ANC That Actually Deli
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned and tested quite a few over-ear headphones over the years, and these genuinely stand out. The sound quality is excellent right out of the box — clean mids, deep but controlled bass, and clear highs without being fatiguing at Bass 0 Mids +4 Treble -2. They handle everything well, from music and movies to calls and podcasts. Noise cancellation is very effective, especially for constant background noise like traffic, HVAC, or office environments. It creates a calm, immersive listening experience without that heavy pressure some ANC headphones cause. Comfort is another big plus. The ear cups are soft, lightweight, and breathable enough for long listening sessions without discomfort. Battery life has also been solid so far — easily lasting through multiple days of regular use. Build quality feels premium, controls are intuitive, and pairing was quick and seamless. Overall, these feel like a well-designed, high-end product that’s worth the price. If you’re looking for reliable performance, comfort, and great sound in one package, these are an easy recommendation.

Quality Bose Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Soft pads for ears; it does eliminate noise outside of the headphones; everyone that sees me where my headphones compliments the color (Lunar Blue). It's sleek, comes in a great case, and the only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is b/c after 3 hours or so, the tip top of my head (mid-scalp) begins to hurt. (I guess I need a little more padding.) Easily connects to blue tooth on my cell phone and desktop computers.

The Upgrade I didn't know I needed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphone audio quality is excellent. I upgrade from Bose QC35 II and it was well worth it. The one thing that I will say is that connectivity with 2+ devices gets a bit dicey, but I think this is true of any audio product operating in an Apple ecosystem that is not Apple. The battery lfie is astounding, the noise cancelling is excellent, the comfort level is amazing, and I'm very happy with the color too. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend

Just spend the extra money
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tested these in store and I’m not sure how anyone buys anything else. Sound quality beats the competition. The bass is fantastic. Deducting one star only because the volume doesn’t get as high as I like in the immersive audio setting. This is okay though because we probably shouldn’t have these things that loud anyway. Don’t waste your money on other brands. Don’t even waste your money on the quiet comfort headphones. If you can afford Bose, please just get these! I’ve had them for a few months now and they work just as well as when I first bought them. The charge lasts forever. The connectivity is seamless.

Posted .Hi.
Thank you for posting. There are two timers in your headphones that can power off your headphones if they are not used for a period of time to conserve power. The Auto-off setting, which is adjustable in the Bose app and the Motion Detection timer will turn off your headphones If no movement is detected for 60 minutes. With the cushions, those are made from protein leather, which can naturally deteriorate over time with use. This can be accelerated by environmental factors such as heat and humidity, but the great news is that we do stock replacement cushions. If you require further assistance, please get in touch with us at https://bose.life/3BgUIIU. We would love to help.

Bose is best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose headphones deliver a refined listening experience built around industry-leading noise-cancellation and impressive comfort. Bose’s adaptive ANC remains one of the best available, effectively reducing background noise in busy environments without introducing pressure or distortion. The sound profile is clean and well-balanced, offering clear mids, smooth highs, and a warm low end that complements most genres. Comfort is another standout feature. The lightweight frame, soft ear cushions, and stable fit make the headphones ideal for long listening sessions, whether during work, travel, or commuting. Battery life is competitive, and the controls—both physical and app-based—are intuitive and responsive. While the premium build and performance justify the price for many listeners, users seeking more customizable sound might find the EQ options somewhat limited compared to competitors. Still, for those prioritizing noise-cancellation, comfort, and an overall polished audio experience, Bose remains a top-tier choice.

Her the rose gold and myself the black. I was decideding between these and the sony. I'm glad I chose these. I will start with the fact that the carrying case is very slim and easily stored for travel. The headphones fold and twist a certain way to fit in. It can be a little confusing at first. We love these for airplane travel. completely blocks out the airplane drone in quiet mode. The eq changer is nice. chage to alert mode and you can hear everything around you. change to quiet or immersive and you cannot hear someone directly infront of you talking. pretty crazy technology. they are light and very comfy for long term use I have found. Battery lasts a really long time went on a 5 hour flight, used them the whole time, and the batttery only went down to 80%. These are about as nice as you can get for the money. Unless you are an audiophile going up from here I think would be a waste the bass sounds amazing. These are awesome and I'm glad I bought them!

Excellent Noise Cancelling Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have recently started going back into the office, but after working from home for 3 years, I can't stand all the noise in the office. I needed something to help me focus, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are just what I needed. These are my first noise cancelling headphones and I'm very impressed. HARDWARE: The build quality is excellent. The headphones fit nicely in the compact case that is provided. A nice touch they added is an image inside the case to show you the proper position the headphones should go in the case. The headphones are comfortable to wear, from the ear cups, to the padding against your head. USABILITY: The headphones have two buttons, one for controlling the music and audio modes and the other for power and phone connectivity. It's easy to switch audio modes, pause, change tracks, etc. There is a virtual slider on the ear cup for changing the volume. I really like how easy it is to change the volume using that slider without having extra buttons. SOUND QUALITY: The sound quality is excellent. I'm not a hardcore audiophile, but I can appreciate the sound quality is much better than the top tier ear buds I previously used. What I'm really impressed is with the noise cancellation. I didn't realize how much noise it would filter out. I tested it at work and the phone conversations were almost completely filtered out, whereas they used to drive me nuts. As i write this review I'm wearing the headphones so I can focus while my son is watching TV. FEATURES: The setup with the app was very easy and the app itself is great. By you have 3 modes configured by default: Quiet, Aware and Immersion. You can add or remove any that you want and you can customize the amount of noise cancelling, on a scale of 1-10. You can adjust the EQ using the app, I like to boost the bass. The only negative think about these headphones is the voice it uses for feedback, like telling you what device it's connected to or what mode you just switched to. It's just really horrible and hard to listen to. Fortunately you don't have to listen to it very often, but there are much better voice readers out there, so it's kind of disappointing. Ultimately, the voice doesn't affect the experience all that much. BOTTOM LINE: I am so glad I have these headphones when for when I go into the office, but I'll be using them for more than just noise cancellation. The audio quality is superior to anything I've had before, so I'll be reaching for these headphones next time I listen to music. I would definitely recommend these headphones.

Better than most
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried so many different noise cancelling head phones and finally decided on QC ultra. I am not a big tech guy to analyze all acoustic qualities and my decision was based on what experienced in short time tests and I have no regrets yet. I use it daily during meditation and on long distance flights with comfort and satisfaction. Sleek design and lightweight is also a plus point.
