    Disappointed

The sound quality is okay. Commuting to and from work via the bus and walking I like to listen to music or the news. Having noise cancelling allows me to disassociate from the world. I'd expect better from Bose. I remember years ago trying out a pair and it was awesome! This was okay. They have the same quality noise cancelling as my Sony XM2s from 2018. Two other big complaints I have are the hapic feedback buttons. I hate these lack of button devices. I can't figure out how to get this to work and I always have to use my phone to control what's supposed to be easy to use. The second complaint is switching between devices. I can't get this easily move from my phone to laptop once I'm at work. I don't mind opening settings and changing it but they crash every time. I have to turn off the headphones then deactivate my bluetooth feature on my last paired device.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback, we’re delighted to hear that you found the sound quality was acceptable for your commute, but we’re sorry that the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones did not fully meet your expectations. These headphones are designed to deliver world‑class noise cancellation, breakthrough spatialized audio for immersive listening, and an elevated design with luxe materials for unrivaled comfort. With Bose Immersive Audio, the experience is meant to push the boundaries of listening by placing sound in front of you for a more realistic feel. We appreciate your comments about the haptic feedback buttons and will take note of your suggestion for future consideration. Regarding switching between devices, we highly recommend enabling the Multipoint Connection function in the Bose Music app, which allows you to connect to two devices simultaneously for smoother transitions. If you need guidance on enabling this feature, You can check out this helpful guide through this link: https://bose.life/4kTtyNQ Your feedback is invaluable, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

We believe these recommendations will help you maximize your headphones’ performance.

Exelent performance. Sound, noise cancellation and fit. I use it while mowing my yard on my zero turn. I heard the music and only a very small ummm from the machine.

Sound quality is great. Not for heavy bass, but well balanced. I enjoyed the noise cancelling on a flight where a kid behind was crying but I didn’t notice until I temporarily removed my headphones. Spatial sound is a nice feature. I wish the battery would last a bit longer. Sony X5 have longer battery life.

Maybe not for small sensitive heads

For the price point, I was really hoping these were going to be my holy grail headphones but I'm afraid they fall short. There are some really good and a few really annoying things about these that I think you should know before jumping into them. PROS: -The sound is great to my ears. I definitely enjoy immersion mode and feel like I'm getting a rich sound from them. As a disclaimer though, I'm not an audiophile-I just like music. -The look. They're sleek and unobtrusive. Not bulky at all. -The auto off function. They know when they're not on your head and go to sleep accordingly. They also turn all the way off after a set amount of inactivity. Appreciate this from a battery saving standpoint. -Best in class noise cancellation. Almost freaky how little of the outside world I can hear if I choose to. CONS: -I have a head that most headphones seem to be just shy of fitting. These fit better than the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headphones I was using previously (those were WAY too low on my ears), but for it to totally fit I would need to be able to make them a little smaller than their smallest fit. It's subtle but if you have a small head you should be aware. -Charging. Why on EARTH can I not listen to my $400 headphones while they're charging?? In 2024?? This is really annoying. If you connect to a USB while they're on, they no longer use their own battery but they don't actively charge. My previous much cheaper headphones were able to do this, I don't think it should be that crazy of an ask, especially because when the computer is on that means I'm on it and presumably needing to use the headphones and when I'm no longer on it and the headphones are freed up for charging the computer is now not able to charge because it's off or hibernating. One of the top annoying things about these. -Clamp. After a few hours, these do hurt my ears. I actually think even though the Razer headphones were heavier monsters they didn't cause me pain like this and I guess it's down the clamp. That noise cancellation does require a seal, after all. Overall for my needs, fit and comfort was one of my top priorities and I would say if it's one of yours and you have a small sensitive head, these aren't quite the right headphones for you. I'm keeping them, but only because I threw out the box before realizing I'd probably want to return them. As an aside though, my husband has these too and he loves them. His head is larger so the fit is better for him and he doesn't really get the kind of ear pain that I do.

Hi Jaclyn, I'm glad you like several features of the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, such as the sound (especially the Immersion modes), the design and the noise cancelling!

I am very sorry to hear that the headphones don't quite fit you. While we endeavor to make headphones that will fit most heads, it is true that the fit is subjective to the customer. The same is true for comfort - while our aim is to make headphones that can be worn for long periods of time, it may be that some users need to take them off for a break here and there (I have this experience myself, and not only with Bose headphones).

Lastly, although the headphones cannot be charged and used at the same time, a quick 15-minute charge will power the headphones for up to 2.5 hours with Immersive Audio set to Off (or up to 2 hours with it on). This is very useful for when the headphones' battery level is low.

      Warm regards
