This probably the worst purchase over ever made I terms of value and experience. Thank god for Best Buy for letting me return them. Noise cancel was very poor. Sound good but inconsistent. There was so much pressure it started to tickle and hurt your ear drum. They fit poorly overhead. The worst, every time you walked you away from a device it knew, it would go “clunk clunk clunk” repeatedly as if if it was designed to torture you. I would not but these fro anyone unless you hate them.

Hi Mitch, I'm sorry to hear you returned your QuietComfort Ultra Headphones! At Bose, we strive to provide a fit that will be comfortable for a wide range of head shapes. However, it is true that comfort is subjective to each customer. As for noise cancelling, this is also subjective, but don't forget you can set up to 7 of your own noise-cancelling modes (custom modes) in the Bose app. Here, you can set the noise-cancelling level in increments of 10%, helping you to find the right combination of noise-cancelling and awareness for you. I hope this helps! Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

I like bose but why was I charged when I used my 2 year warranty? I went in to use the warranty then I was asked if I wanted to get a 2 year warranty on the new one but I had to pay the difference plus the price of the warranty. The first warranty should have paid for the entire price of the product

They are inconsistent with functionality. They cut off randomly by themselves while listening. I’m on fence whether to replace them. I use them with my iPhone. Would not buy again.

      Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the cutouts you've been experiencing with your QC Ultra Headphones. That must be incredibly frustrating, and I completely understand why you'd be considering replacing them.

Random disconnects shouldn't be happening, and I want to assure you that there might be a quick fix. The first thing to note is that the buds operate best within 33ft / 10m from the media device. Please stay within that distance, the closer the better. Have you also tried resetting the buds and then established a new connection? Any corruptions in pairing could be causing unexpected behavior so doing this may help. You can find more troubleshooting options here. https://bose.life/3tIdQil

Purchased 6/8/2025 in store as gift for upcoming vacation. Headphones sound like tin. Unable to adjust satisfactorily. Online complaints of this are numerous. On 7/1/2025 online customer service transferred 3 times before telling me since purchased in store unable to help, take to store. Store employees rude, unwilling to do anything. Paid $399 for a pair of unusable, worthless headphones. Their 14 day return policy was not known at time of purchase and I was not offered an extended warranty. Gift recipient has used different Bose headphones for years and knows his headphones. Due to their employees lack of competence, quality of product and return policy I will no longer be shopping at Best Buy. Never again.

Love Bose but they missed the mark on this one. The auto on/off is trash and the battery dies fast. It's hard to turn this on and off period, it's confusing and might return. The QC45 was fine and the same basically. Don't waste your money because it's "Bose."

Sorry to hear of your disappointment here, Andrew! The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones can be turned on (and off) by pressing and releasing the Power/Bluetooth button. As for "Auto-off", the headphones turn off after 24 hours of inactivity, but you can adjust this in the Bose app – e.g. "5 minutes", "20 minutes", "1 hour". This should help to conserve the battery life too. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

Hello Bo, I am glad to hear you enjoy the amazing sound from your QuietComfort Ultra headphones.
With multipoint to make sure it is being utilized in the right way you need to make sure that you
      1. Pause audio on your first mobile device.
      2. Play audio on your second mobile device.
And Your headphones will receive phone calls from both devices, regardless of
      which device is playing audio

Unfortunately these headphones have not worked for me since I purchased them. They have a static sound when they are in "aware" mode and they frequently make loud and disruptive buzzing sounds when I take them off my head. I tried to repair them with BestBuy but they directed me to Bose. Bose chose not to replace them with the exact same color, and instead they only offered me a choice between white smoke and black. Why would I want the product I paid almost $400 in a different color? Really disappointed with BestBuy customer service and Bose service. I tried to resolve the issue over the course of several months because I am a law student and don't have time to take an hour out of my day to talk with customer service. I probably spent 5 hours attempting to find a solution and instead I have to trade them in for a color I did not want.

Premium Noise-Canceling Bliss with a Few Drawbacks

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra over-the-ear headphones in sleek black have long been synonymous with top-tier noise-canceling performance and audio quality. As a discerning audiophile and frequent traveler, here's my candid review of these headphones: Pros: Superior Noise Cancellation: Bose's reputation for best-in-class noise cancellation holds true with the QuietComfort Ultra. The headphones excel in drowning out ambient noise, making them perfect for long flights, noisy commutes, or simply enjoying your music in peace. Exceptional Comfort: The plush ear cushions and lightweight design make these headphones incredibly comfortable for extended wear. They don't exert excessive pressure on your head, and the ear cups provide an excellent seal without causing discomfort. Outstanding Sound Quality: Bose's sound signature is well-balanced, with clear highs, detailed mids, and a satisfying low end. Audio quality remains impressive even with noise cancellation activated, allowing you to enjoy your music, podcasts, or movies without compromise. Long Battery Life: The QuietComfort Ultra offers impressive battery life, providing up to 20 hours of playback with noise cancellation turned on. This longevity ensures you won't need to worry about frequent recharging during your daily routines or travels. Intuitive Controls: The headphones come with touch-sensitive controls on the ear cups, allowing you to adjust volume, pause/play, skip tracks, and answer calls with simple gestures. The controls are responsive and user-friendly. Built-in Voice Assistant: You can access your preferred voice assistant, whether it's Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa, with a single button press. This hands-free convenience is particularly handy for quick tasks while on the go. Cons: Premium Price Tag: While the QuietComfort Ultra delivers a premium listening experience, it comes with a premium price. It may not be within reach for budget-conscious consumers. Non-Collapsible Design: These headphones don't fold or collapse into a more compact form, making them less space-efficient for packing in smaller bags or cases. Micro-USB Charging: The use of a micro-USB port for charging feels dated, especially when USB-C has become the standard for many modern devices. Limited Customization: The Bose Connect app, while functional, lacks the extensive customization options that some competitors offer. Users who prefer to fine-tune their audio experience may find it somewhat limiting. Passive Sound Leak: At high volumes, sound may leak from the headphones, potentially bothering those around you in quiet environments. In conclusion, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones deliver a premium listening experience and outstanding noise cancellation, making them an excellent choice for audiophiles and frequent travelers. The comfort, sound quality, and battery life are standout features. However, the premium price tag and the lack of modern features like USB-C charging and collapsibility may be drawbacks for some. If you're willing to invest in top-notch noise-canceling headphones with a proven track record, the QuietComfort Ultra won't disappoint. They excel at what they do best—providing a serene listening experience in any environment.
