I’ve definitely had better quality headphones from Jbl and Sony, these don’t hold up in comparison at all and are no where worth the almost 300$. I got a “brand new-opened box” pair and wanted to see if they were better than my old Sonys. They started to act up at about a week into using them, glitchy sound connections, weird buzzing, and all around terrible noise cancelling. I wish I’d seen the short return window so I could get my money back. I can’t recommend these at all and likewise for any “Best Buy like new returns”

Bose has an excellent reputation, so I was excited about these headphones. I wore them for the first time on a plane last night, and the noise cancel feature was minimal at best. The plane noise was still extremely loud, and I had to turn up my headphones almost all the way to hear my audio book. I've always had very good hearing, and my airpods block out much more. These are lovely to look at, but the function doesn't live up to the price or expectation.

Hi there, and thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the noise cancellation didn’t perform as expected during your flight. The Bose QuietComfort headphones are designed to reduce consistent background noise like engine hum, but performance can vary depending on fit, positioning, and ambient conditions.

To get the most out of the ANC feature, we recommend ensuring the headphones are snugly and properly seated around your ears.

    Excellent ANC headphones as expected

I have had a few Bose headphones over the years, and one thing that stands out is the overall comfort. Every Bose headphone I have ever had has been plush, light, and not too much pressure on the side of my head. These new Bose QuietComfort headphones have the same light and comfortable fit as the QC35ii and QC45, which is perfect. I am glad they chose to keep the same fit/profile on this new generation so they will feel familiar to anyone who has owned any of the previous generations. These new headphones have the easy to use power toggle switch, which I actually prefer over the "hold to turn on" power buttons. Charging is USB-C as expected, and so far the battery life has been as advetised and can easily last over 20 hours at reasonable volume. The Active Noise cancelling seems to be updated as well. I have no proof, but I feel like the ANC on these blocks even more noise than before. One thing I can say though, is the microphone quality is definitely improved. I notice a difference on phone calls, voices come through clearer than before.

Best buy has gone down hill quick! Management is awful at my local store! Management and store employees could careless about customer service, they are hard to deal with and do not have any compassion! There is no communication between online and the actual store, so if you order online to pickup in the store, you better hope you dont have a problem with the order! Wouldn't be surprised if Best buy files for bankruptcy in the next 5 years!

Hi BarryK, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoy the comfort and sound quality of the headphones. We understand your concern about the noise‑cancelling feature. The QuietComfort Headphones’ noise cancellation can be adjusted to your preference through the Bose app. Please also check your settings in the app to ensure you are in “Quiet” mode rather than “Aware” mode. In “Aware” mode, the external microphones feed outside sounds into the headset, which can make other noises or the noise floor seem louder.

Initially these were a great incremental improvement on the classic noise cancelling headphones. However, 2 months later and there are a lot of problems: audio drops frequently, or cracks up and stutters, then restarts. I tried to resolve this with Best Buy's chat service who first told me I could return them (the store told me no, you only have 2 weeks to return anything). The second person on chat told me I can get a repair FOR A PRICE. They are less than 3 months old. Terrible customer service.

    Ultimate Headphones For Travel

Sound is very subject, the way a company tunes their speaker changes the way it sounds very dramatically and everyone has a preference on what they like, and these Bose QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones are no different. Their sound profile is definitely geared towards a main stream a bit higher bass and the mids and treble a bit recessed, its a great sound its a profile that can let you listen to several hours without feeling ear fatigue, and it is incredibly easy to listen for hours with a 27 hour battery life and incredibly comfortable and light headphones. These are the ultimate travel headphones, they have top notch ANC they are really light and they sound great. They feel fantastic when you put them on barely any weight and the materials are so lush and soft you almost don’t even feel them. Surprisingly these headphones take changing the custom eq pretty well. There is so much to like about these headphones everywhere I go there go in my bag, I love using them at work at the end of my day when I have to just go through paperwork and fill out documents I put them on throw on some music and get through my work with this wonderful sounds. Highly recommended

I loved them for the whole 2 months, then they started causing issues... I think it's an issue with Bluetooth, they just stop maling sound and sometimes interrupt sound, then I have to turn them off and on again for them to start working again. Ill try to use the manufacturer warranty and update the review...

I'm sorry to hear your QuietComfort Headphones starting having issues after 2 months, with the audio not being seamless. Try rebooting your smartphone, as this can help establish a strong Bluetooth connection. Also test your earbuds with a second device, e.g. a laptop, to compare performance there. If needed, our customer support team will also assist: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

    Top Tier Noise Cancellation

Bose has continually been at the forefront of active noise cancellation and with this latest iteration of the QuietComfort headphones they have not been dethroned. To go along with this superior noise cancellation the slightly updated sound signature and additional features within the app definitely sets these headphones apart. Right out of the box the QuietComfort headphones appear similar to other Bose headphones as they feel well made and are extremely light. They are nearly identical in all physical features though this may be one of those if it isn`t broke don`t fix it scenarios as they are extremely comfortable. The USB-C charging port is great and the action button on one ear cup and minimal buttons on the other for volume/playback is the perfect mix without overwhelming the listener with buttons. Onto the actual performance though, these QuietComfort headphones have a nearly perfect balance and can be tweaked in the app to your preference though one thing to mention is that from the prior version the base does seem to be more pronounced. As I had previously mentioned, the noise cancelation is what really sets these apart and Bose has even improved in that facet with these. Within the app they now allow you to tweak the sensitivity of the noise cancellation as opposed to either on or off. Additionally, there is also a new "wind block" feature you can toggle which actually makes a difference when listening in windy environments. The other additional feature is with the action button you can now hear the current battery level or launch Spotify, which I do find myself using rather often. When discussing the actual use of the headphones I do have to mention battery life as these are advertised at 24 hours and they actually live up to that in my extended use. Overall, between the noise cancellation, sound quality, and app improvements you really can`t go wrong with these headphones. The design may be getting slightly stale, but the comfort and light weight are tough to improve upon in that respect. Thus, all of the positives of these headphones overwhelm the only knock one could have when it comes to design so for that very reason I would definitely recommend these to anyone in the market for a pair of over-ear headphones.

Hi there! Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your QuietComfort Headphones. Intermittent audio can happen due to several factors, including wireless interference, distance from the paired device, low battery levels on either device, or outdated software. Physical obstacles such as walls or metal surfaces can also weaken the signal, and in some cases, protective cases or certain devices may interfere with the connection.

Hey, thanks for sharing your feedback on the Bose QuietComfort Headphones. They’re designed to deliver legendary noise cancellation, the headphones utilize both active and passive noise reduction technologies, with microphones placed inside and outside the earcups to sense and react to sound in real time, while the earcup fit and headband design provide passive reduction. Sorry to hear that hasn’t been your experience. Be sure to check out our helpful support article at https://bose.life/4jsJjui, which may improve your noise cancellation performance.

For tips on keeping your headphones clean we recommend gently wiping the handle with a dry microfiber cloth after use and storing them in the protective case when not in use. Hope this helps!
