Sony MX4 & MX5 (mx5 has better wind resistant mic) But this QuietComfort is lighter, and to me WAY more comfortable, than all of the above.

I did some research and compared a few before choosing this model. Glad I did! I also have comparable Sony headphones and you can tell a noticeable difference in sound quality. Tight bass and clean highs. The Bose sounds incredible. Highly Recommended.

If your QuietComfort Headphones aren't giving you enough bass, don't forget to use the Equalizer in the Bose app. Just go to the headphones' home screen, then tap on the "EQ" shortcut button, where you can try the "Bass Boost" preset. I only charged them once before leaving, and the battery lasted for both flights and all the train rides in between. They were also very comfortable once adjusted properly; they fit completely around my ear.

Noise canceling on plane still allows some sound in as they aren't immersive but I at least I know when an announcement is being made. Slight sound distortion sometimes on take off and landings.

They provide great sound quality, do a better than average job of environmental noise cancellation and do a great job of maintaining a battery charge.

The audio quality is very good tho. super comfortable to wear for an extensive period. Hard case it comes with is good to have as well. Power switch looks like it can get damaged easily even in the case... it's the highest point when collapsed into the case. So if you hit the case, the button is the first to feel the impact. Battery life is on the short end of the spectrum, standard nowadays are ~35hrs or so.
