Big Bose fan. Really Really Disappointed in These.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll start this by saying that I have a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 35ii which I absolutely love. I bought a pair of these because I loved the 35s so much, I wanted a spare set around the house. Unfortunately, Bose has really dropped the ball on these. - You cannot turn noise cancelation off. I've reached out to Bose about this, and they confirmed that you can adjust it between Aware, and Quiet, but can't turn it off. I wear my headphones while running, and the noise cancelation system juat can't keep up with the noise of a treadmill. It winds up causing a thumping noise, which really makes them unusable. The QC35iis did the same thing, but atleast with those, you could disable the NC system and all was well. With these, the thumping noise is there regardless of whether you're in aware mode or quiet or anything in between. It makes them completely unusable. Which is unfortunate because 75% of the time I use headphones, is on a treadmill - They make a very weird popping noise when they try to cancel some sharp loud noises. So even if I wear them around the house while doing chores, if my daughter is playing with certain rattle toys, the headphones will start making popping static noise trying to compensate for the rattle noise. - Considering my QC35ii's are about 4 years old now, there really isn't any improvement in the noise cancelation function that I can notice between the pairs. I would think two generations worth of headphones, some headway would have been made. But in a quiet room listening to music. They sound about the same. So to summarize. They're worse than the product 2 generations back that Bose released in 2017. Why would you remove the ability to turn off noise cancelation? I just don't get why you would take that function away from the consumer.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my headphones since the end of November I believe and the times I’ve used it have been maybe not over 6 times because I use my AirPods, and so usage has been very minimal and they haven’t even left my house once , yet, they look broken and flimsy, it does not have sound cancellation and I can hear noise after I wear them, when I place a call and I have the tv on, I have to turn it off because people can’t hear me, I’ve had beats by DRE but I would not recommend these, at all.. I’m not expert but this is solely out of experience and people deserve to know from experience, I will be returning.

Posted .Hi Diana,
We're truly sorry to hear about your experience with the QuietComfort headphones. What you have described certainly isn't descriptive of what we would expect especially after such a short period of time.
The headphones feature active noise cancellation so must be charged and powered on to cancel exterior noise. This works best with sounds that are constant, quick/sharp/fast sounds are more likely to be heard if you're not listening to music, albeit at a low level.

Hoping for the best, what a big disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is not a BestBuy as a matter of fact they’re terrible, I suppose you must have the app in order for them to function correctly… meaning to not cut off and stay silent for several seconds some times my son had a pair as well and he got rid off them sound is good not the best but good enough, the noise canceling sometimes it tries to hard to cancel any noise there fore increasing the noise for instance open window your window as you’re rolling the head set will almost make you deaf from the noise canceling those are my two major issues on the other hand they are comfortable, not heavy cover the ear well enough charging time. It’s average playtime of a full charge is good, But again, my pet peeve is the fact that I must have the app in order for it to work property. It keeps shutting down or go silence for several seconds I will not install the app and I will be returning them to Best Buy.

Posted .Hello! We truly appreciate your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you find the headphones comfortable and that the playtime on a full charge meets your needs. At the same time, we’re very sorry to learn that the noise‑cancelling and connectivity features did not meet your expectations.
Our Bose QuietComfort Headphones are designed to deliver high‑fidelity audio with legendary noise cancellation, allowing you to toggle between Quiet Mode, Aware Mode, or even create a Custom Mode to adjust outside sound to your environment. The design is iconic and built for lasting comfort, with plush cushions and a secure band, plus up to 24 hours of battery life.
Connectivity issues can sometimes occur if the headphones are paired with multiple Bluetooth devices at once, as interference may cause audio dropouts. We recommend checking our troubleshooting guide through this link: https://bose.life/49oQikI to help resolve this. For noise cancellation, please note that you can choose between different modes depending on your listening preferences and environment, which may improve your experience.
We also suggest using the Bose Music app, as it allows you to customize settings and get the most out of your headphones. If the issue continues even after following the troubleshooting steps, please reach out to our customer support team through this link: https://bose.life/contactus
We hope this helps improve your experience and allows you to enjoy the most out of your Bose QuietComfort Headphones.

A no go for athletes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones lasted me 5 days. I do a lot of running during training camp which is why I decided to try these noise cancelation headphones which at first did in fact cancel the noise however they started to malfunction making a screeching noise that wouldn’t go away. I then took them back to the store in order to exchange them for a new pair however the store would not do it because they didn’t have the color green in stock which would have forced me to pay $110 more dollars than what I originally paid for them. However the battery life was pretty good because they where on 80% when I returned them 5 days later

Do NOT Recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE PROBLEM: I was so excited about these headphones before I finally had to exchange and return them. First, I had to exchange my first pair because it came faulty, the pause button wouldn’t work and music would unpause after pressing it. The biggest issue after exchanging is the static noise. When driving in the car, I kept hearing this popping and thudding static noise in my ears. The sound also happens if I take a heavy step while walking. Bose is one of the highest recommended headphones but I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Why that might not matter: I purchased because these headphones were recommended by my sister. I had to exchange my first pair before finally returning the second. The sound is pretty good if you like a nice even sound rather than deep more bass heavy. They also fit comfortably and fold in a way that doesn’t make me scared of breaking them like my Beats did. However, my sister who uses the headphones at a much lower volume and usually just while walking and sitting doesn’t experience any issues with the popping and thudding static sounds.

Disappointing Microphone issues
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the color and it really was noise cancelling and comfortable to wear but I had two issues with this model. 1) it came with a wired headphones option but when I tried using that to connect it to my laptop it would not work and I had to ultimately only rely on Bluetooth to use these headphones. 2) the microphone stopped working. I could hear great but during phone calls and when I recorded voice memos the microphone wouldn’t work or the sound would be very quiet and hard for the other person to hear.

Make Bose Great Again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always loved Bose and my previous generation headphones, the QC35, were the best I have ever owned which is why I stayed with the brand. Unfortunately this new generation does not hold up in quality. At first they felt great out of the box, but after less than a year the ear cushions are already tearing. The biggest issue is connectivity. They will randomly cut in and out with my device, the only device they have ever been paired to, making a crackling zipper like noise before reconnecting. For a $400 pair of headphones that is the last thing you want to deal with. Maybe I just ended up with a defective pair, but overall I cannot recommend these. It is a real letdown because the QC35 set such a high standard.

Awful Customer service, major design flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great - for a few months. Customer service is appalling. No one speaks English. Had a lady spell out "S-C-R-I-M" when she meant to say "screen." Then they forced me to destroy my $500 headphones by ripping out the "scrim" on the right ear cup so they could get the serial number. Why do you have to destroy the product to see the serial number?? Horrible, switching back to apple products pronto.

Posted .Hi Lara,
Thanks for leaving your thoughts on the QC Headphones.
The "scrim" is the fabric part of the headphones found inside the earcup with L and R printed on either side. It's not a 'screen'. You will also not ruin the headphones by removing the cushions or the scrim. They're designed to be user replaceable.

Posted .Hi BarryK, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoy the comfort and sound quality of the headphones. We understand your concern about the noise‑cancelling feature. The QuietComfort Headphones’ noise cancellation can be adjusted to your preference through the Bose app. Please also check your settings in the app to ensure you are in “Quiet” mode rather than “Aware” mode. In “Aware” mode, the external microphones feed outside sounds into the headset, which can make other noises or the noise floor seem louder.

Unusable on calls - Awful Microphone.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While noise canceling is alright, the sound quality is unimpressive. Comparable to the $30 Sony headphones I replaced with these. By far the worst part, and the source of my 1 star review. The microphone is AWFUL. Some of their noise reduction software or something makes it sound like I am constantly walking away from the microphone and very quiet. The worst part about this by far is that its a software issue! Not a mic issue. I thought that Bose was a quality company, and was willing to pay a premium for the headphones. But, this is a disappointment by all means. I can't ever use them for calls and I would never buy it again. Save yourself the money and trouble.

Love Bose have bought many items over the years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase which I bought two pair as gifts. They were the very worst quality wise, Bose products I’ve ever had. Best Buy has always sold quality products at a fair price, name brand or not, but absolutely tried these out for about 10 min. Sound has horrible a d I believe it was the outside construction pure plastic, thin flimsy plastic that made the sound so horrible, these were An immediate return, we went back to ear buds we have used for travel, a lot of flights and hotels, they never get old. Amazing, quality. We thought these would be nice as we listen to podcasts and movies and sometimes laying in the bed an ear bud falls out but we can easily find in the morning. But these plastic things no match, put your money in something with good sound and lasting quality.

They work poorly as wireless headphones for a PC
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these as a pair of wireless headphones for my computer. I thought Bose was a great brand because of past experience. I will be returning these after the first day of use. They lose connection intermittedly and the sound just cuts out whenever you move your head the wrong way or there is some sort of signal messing with the BT. Yeah, you can run them wired but I already have wired headphones. I wanted a good pair of WIRELESS headphones. These sound decent but the connectivity issue is a deal breaker. Will be returning.

Faulty BT module (maybe in few batches)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got 2 of this - one from Best Buy and another from different outlet. Both had same issues - if I listen for 10 sec, at least for 1 sec is lost. This with iOS devices (both iPad and iPhone and both are with the latest version of iOS and both are 1 yr older generation). I ended up returning both. I bought another one few months back for my daughter and that one works perfectly. So some batch possibly have faulty BT module or so.
