    Sound is an acquired taste

They were nice headphones with decent sound, but I found the base to be overwhelming making vocals difficult to hear. I spent days messing with the EQ to fix this with no success. I ultimately returned them and got the Bose QC ultras gen 2. I’ve been very happy with Gen 2. I do wish Bose products had more customization options regarding there modes and EQs in general. Pros: great colors, comfort and button scheme. Comes with a nice case and cords. Great ANC Cons: overwhelming bass and distant vocals If you’re shopping around I would look in to the Bose QC earbuds (2024). They have the same great colors, comfort, and price. But in my opinion a clearer sound and more versatility.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we truly appreciate it. We’re glad you enjoyed the colors, comfort, button layout, and strong ANC, and we’re sorry about the issues you experienced, but we’re happy to hear that you were able to find a better and satisfying resolution. It’s great to know that the Bose QC Ultra Headphones 2nd Gen have been a better fit for you, offering a more refined and versatile sound. Your note about wanting more customization options is also truly appreciated, we’ll make sure that feedback is noted.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are indeed a great recommendation as well, offering clear, balanced sound along with the same comfort and design features you enjoyed.

Main purpose for buying these was to used it at the gym. Unfortunately they dont work. Sound wise they are excellent, quality of sound is great but they are not full noise cancelation like the earbuds quiet comfort ultra. The headphones are bulky, heavy, slide in my head, fall off and get very sweaty. For working out i would recommend 100% the earbuds ultra quiet comfort not the headphones. Wanted to love these so bad, but I’ll pass.

The headphones are generally pretty good but the zipper broke on the carrying case just after one year. It’s clearly a very cheap zipper and carrying case despite this being a premium product. Both customer service refused to assist me in any way or provide a replacement. Might be worth looking at a company that stands behind their products.

This review is 50% for best buy and the other 50% for Bose. Headphones are incredibly comfortable and the sound quality is great, HOWEVER, they glitch a lot and they have connectivity issues. At times, I would be listening to music on a phone and then suddenly the music would cut off for seconds only to come back moments later. On the computer, it's even worse, and they disconnect various times. Granted, this could be a problem with just my particular headphone, but upon going to Best Buy after speaking to a CX representative online, they told me they couldn't do anything about it because it was past the return date, despite telling me online that a store manager could potentially help me given my circumstances. Respectfully, I think there should be more consideration for people wanting to return items that are faulty and this expensive. Bose CX have been very helpful so far though, so love them.

Hi SamanthaZ, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you find the headphones comfortable with great sound quality, but we’re sorry to learn about the glitches and connectivity issues you’ve experienced. When using multipoint, a secondary Bluetooth device may receive a text or email notification and attempt to broadcast audio to your product. This can interrupt the primary Bluetooth connection and affect bandwidth, causing intermittent audio or sporadic disconnections.

To help eliminate these interruptions, we recommend turning off Bluetooth on your secondary device while connected to your Bose product. You can also check out this helpful link for additional troubleshooting steps: https://bose.life/4aYEk2C

I used these headphones for work (teams meetings) and air travel. I like how small they get in the case and they are comfortable to wear all day. The noise cancellation is pretty good, but there is always some sort of popping and static noise happening that I don’t get with other brand headphones. Teams calls specifically have random bad batches of interference and noise. I have two other coworkers with the same headphones and we all have this problem on different computers. I also have had two different pairs of these headphones after using the Best Buy warranty when the mic stopped working completely one day during work, and both had noise. The noise seems to be a known issue with Bose headphones on Reddit. I tried the Sony 1000mx4s and had no problem with teams calls or noise. I wouldn’t get these again due to performance.

Honestly these headphones feel great when putting them on, especially with me who has a lot of ear piercings. My issue is connecting different devices to Bluetooth is flimsy and sometimes the audio will cut off all of a sudden in which you are required to push the button on the side to restart. I will be returning these, disappointed as this is my favorite color and in terms of audio these are better than my Sony Xm4s.

Hello Yuki, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear you find the Bose QuietComfort Headphones comfortable, especially with multiple ear piercings, as the plush cushions are designed to softly hug your ears while the secure band keeps them in place on the go. We’re sorry to hear about the Bluetooth connection issues you’ve experienced. In some cases, sudden disconnections can occur if multiple devices are connected and their Bluetooth is turned on at the same time, making it difficult for the headphones to know which device to pair with. Clearing the memory and performing a reset may help resolve this. Please check out our troubleshooting guide through this link: https://bose.life/4b8KmNZ to walk you through the steps. We hope this helps fix the disconnection issue so you can continue enjoying the best audio experience from your QuietComfort Headphones.

    Bad Delivery. Decent product.

I’m rating the shipping and handling of my package 1 star: First, the package was delivered 2 days after the supposed delivery date (I was alerted of this at 10pm of said date). Second, the original Bose box packaging came open/torn and someone had obviously tried to reseal it. Third, the headphones arrived turned on and at 50%. I’m just hoping the product itself wasn’t tampered with. I rate the actual headphones 3 stars: The noise cancelling is okay. It does reduce some background noise, but even with the quiet setting, I can hear my surroundings well (eg. I can have a conversation with someone without them raising their voice and can even hear other’s conversations and footsteps). The audio quality is fair, nothing impressive. I do like that there is a Bose app for the personalization/preferences though. Overall disappointed with the product, but I’ll give them another try to test their durability. You can definitely find other headphones for a lower price and same or even better quality.

This set of headphones is definitely not the best Bose product I've ever had. They are difficult to connect to my tablet, and frequently drop the connection. The side buttons don't work well requiring harder and repeated taps to get them to respond. Answering calls is not possible because the speaker doesnt allow the other party to hear me. Pretty unhappy with this purchase.

Bose miss the mark with Bose QC..

I bought these's to compare to my Sony WH-XB900N and the Bose QC were very disappointing for several reasons.. the Bose app is spotting at best of my Z fold4 and Z fold5 phone.. and the over sound is better on my Sonys..plus i had to turn the volume up louder on the Bose QC just to be satisfied with the music i was listening to and thats even with adjusting the EQ.. and the Bose QC over the ear headphones themselves were too small for my ears and would make my hears hurt... Finally i'm not a fan of the Noise canceling technology on any headphones but at least the Sonys allow me to disable that feature and enable the ambient mode so it doesn't feel like i have pressure in my ears... yes i know with the Bose you can enable Aware Mode but its still felt like the Noise canceling was still pressurizing my ears.. So sadly i returned them..

I purchased these for extended air travel. The sound quality is as expected from a Bose product. Unfortunately, on two separate occasions, while in flight, the headphones put out a deafening crackling noise that seemed to sync with the engine power fluctuations of the plane. I literally ripped them off my ears due to the incredibly loud crackling in the headset.

I'm happy to hear you've been enjoying the Bose sound, Craig! If your QuietComfort Headphones are making a loud noise during flights, this is normal. Excessively noisy environments, e.g. planes taking off, can overwhelm the external mics, causing the headphones to crackle or distort. This can happen in both Quiet and Aware mode.
