I don't know what to compare them to since these are the first over-the-ear headphones I've owned, but the sound quality is pretty good--for some reason, I expected better. I like them; just expected the sound to be more intense.

I can hear clearly again

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have lost part of my hearing because of an Autoimmune disease and I had a very hard time even watching the news and hearing what was being said even with the volume turned up all of the way. With these earphones, I only need to have the volume up to about 50% and I can understand everything clearly because all of the background noise is also canceled. I have always liked to listen to beautiful music and now I can enjoy it again.

Static in Flight when taking off.

Unfortunately I had to purchase another pair because I grabbed my clothes and put them in the washer. Unfortunately my headphones got washed. I had to buy another pair. I love BOSE. This set wasn't as clear as my last. I dont know if I bought the next step down cause I was looking for the same headphones. I use them when Im in flight. Strangely when the airplane took off, I heard a lot of static going through my headphones from the airplane taking off. I never heard that before with my other headphones. . I don know how that happened. Perhaps it was the plane I dont know. But I still love BOSE.
