Great Headphones For Casual Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are great if you are listening to music or if you are on a phone call and you do not want to deal with the wires. I love the noise cancellation feature. There is a separate control for it on the side of the volume buttons. You can adjust it to completely drown out all of the noise around you or fully hear your environment and everything in between. I have basically been using this when I am running errands and I need my hands. The only complaint I have is that I could use a little more room around my neck. I have a thick neck so if the neck piece was thinner or lighter I would have given these headphones a full 5 stars.

It Took 2 Times to Realize How Nice They Are
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I'm a big fan of BestBuy because they are very convenient to me and give great service on the products I buy. This review is an example of that. I anxiously waited since June to be able to own these. They were officially released on Sunday and I went to BestBuy and bought mine on Monday. The first pair had a static like crackling in the right earpiece when I handled the remote. I took those to BestBuy and got another pair that did not have the problem. I own Bose QC 20i's, QC 25's, QC 35's and Soundlink On Ear Headphones. I actually use them all for specific situations. There is definitely a time where the in ear bluetooth with noise cancelling is needed so I bought these. The sound of the QC 30's is a tad better than the QC 20i's yet not as good as the around the ear models, which can be expected. The noise cancelling seems about the same as the QC 20's and once again not as good as the QC 25's and QC 35's. I am still impressed how good these sound. The problem I had with these was the battery life was dismal. I was lucky to get 7 hours of use before they completely died. So, I returned them thinking I would use the QC 20's instead. Yesterday, I realized that today in my work would be the exact situation where the QC 30's would best suited for what I needed to do. So, I went back to BestBuy and bought, what now is, my 3rd set of these. Of course I played around on the internet reading reviews and finding out if others had the same battery life problems. Well, I read that some people did have the problem but found the solution. This was to go into the app and turn off the Auto-Off Timer. So, I decided to try them once more for a good test knowing that I could still return them if not satisfied. I got the new ones and immediately went into the app and turned that Auto-Off Timer off completely. I then charged it up to 100%. Wow, did that ever work well! I used them for 9 hours, listening to music for 7 of those hours with the noise cancellation at either full cancelling to #5 level of the 12. And after those 9 hours I still have 70% battery left. That means that I will see the battery usage well over 11 hours. The QC 30's are not a complete replacement for the QC 20's There are times I want a wire. And yes there are times where the QC 25 and 35's are better as around the ear units. But, there definitely is a place in my life for these. These are a true winner.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recieved these headphones to test and leave an unbaised review. It is always a struggle to find decent headphones that will last. I already knew bose was a good company since I have bought their products in the past but these wireless headphones are great. They are lightweight and durable. The sound is great and they are able to keep up with the wireless connection from my phone when I am farther away from them. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a great quality set of headphones.

Best Available. But....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pleased with this headset overall, though it has a few flaws that are disappointing. The good: these sound great and the noise cancelling is fantastic. I was VERY pleased with the amount of bass these suckers pumped out. It almost felt like the whole earbud shook. While the noise cancelling on the over-ears is better, the Bose QC30 renders virtually everything around you inaudible at about mid range volume. I've used these on a couple flights and I can hear nothing. The bad: the microphone is absolutely horrendous. It is incredibly sensitive and will pick up all the noise around you. If you aren't in a quiet spot, it's unusable as a headset. the only other complaint is that the buds are a bit bulky, so i wish they retracted. It takes some adjustment getting used to the big ol' things dangling on your chest. I decided to keep them because there's no better neckband headset on the market right now, in terms of sound quality, comfort, build quality, etc. I will be looking to upgrade, though, if/when a better iteration comes out.

Excellent Wireless earphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall an excellent earphone. Unwrapping this beauty is also an amazing and easy experience. It is surprisingly comfortable and stable in the ear. The band lays resting on the neck and it is very comfortable too. I put these on at night to bed and it doesn't bother me much (I don't sleep keeping these on though for the risk that I might break it :) ). I have a soundsport, beats and a plantronics Backbeats and having used them all I can say these feel way more comfortable (Of-course these are priced way higher than all of those but still just a comparison). In the gym these are very stable. The ear piece stays intact. The neck band can bother but I guess having paid $300 for a earphone you won't want to have sweat all over it. On the sound, well it's a Bose so undoubtedly you get the best experience. The noise cancellation is stunning (almost the same level as my QC 25). The bass could have been a tad bit more but that doesn't bother me at all as my genre of song and music don't deal with higher bass \m/. The battery last almost 7 hrs not 8+ as mentioned. I believe that aspect could have been improved as the QC 35 provide a much higher battery backup. I wouldn't have mind a little thicker neck band to accommodate a little larger battery. The charging is very fast. For what I have tested it chargers within 90 mins to a 100% (Charging from a laptop). Connectivity wise it connects seamlessly to my Galaxy S7 (not note7 please read that carefully) and my Asus ROG G751 JT. I have never experienced any call drops or connection drops using them. Very clear voice and sound during voice and video calls over skype, hangout or fb messenger. So summing it all up for the price point this is a very good earphone. Especially now when some phone manufacturers have ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack this might be an excellent choice.

Excellent sound and comfort!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved everything about these headphones. Great sound quality, superb comfort, long battery life, and very easy to start using straight out of the box. My older Samsung phone had no issue connecting and I used these everywhere I went. They are not perfect for running because the neck portion bounces a lot, but if you do more lifting at the gym these will be great. Bluetooth headphones are amazing overall and Bose does it right!

Buy them only for the noise cancelling...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've bought and returned these a few times. The first time there was an issue not holding a charge. The second time was after I realized how poor the microphone is at making calls. I finally just bought them again today and have decided that I will keep them. The microphone issue when making calls is real. No one on the other end can understand what I am saying. The only time it will work is if I am sitting in a room where there is zero ambient noise. Of course, if that was the case why would I be wearing these headphones. It's as if all the ambient noise, no matter how small, is amplified and the person on the other end cannot understand a word you are saying. This is a big issue and Bose needs to fix this. However, after trying many other headphones, these are, by far, the best noise cancelling earbuds on the market. Though I will continue to use my QC35's on a plane and at home, the noise cancelling with the QC30's are almost just as good, which is saying a lot since the QC35's can also relay on the ear cups to muffle out some sound as well. I will continue to use my Soundsport Wireless when I am at the gym or running, as the QC30's are not sweat resistant. So why am I keeping these? They work great in a noisy office environment and when walking around the city on my lunch break or on my way to the gym, which is where they will get the most use. You can't beat them. If you're main use is listen to music indoors or outdoors with noise cancelling, these are awesome. Sure, you get a little noise feedback if it is windy outside, but usually a quick adjustment of the earbud fixes that. The other reason I am keeping these is that at the end of the day, the Bose StayHear+ tips fit my ears better than any type of earbud. I can put them in and forget about them. Other types of earbuds do not fit me as well, and I find myself constantly fidgeting with and adjusting them. So, if you are on the fence, this would be my advice. If your primary use will be to listen to music and cancel noise, buy these now. They are the best on the mark. If you need to use them to make and receive phone calls, buy something else. I'm am a big Bose fan. As you can see, I have many of their products. At the same time, they lose two stars on this one for 1) putting this to market with the microphone issue and 2) not having a fix more than seven months later. I certainly hope Bose fixes this soon, and makes good with all of us first adopters of these headphones.

These are awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried many different bluetooth headphones and I can say these are the best I have ever tried. Sounds quality is amazing. They fit in the ear great and are lightweight. I wish there was some way to retract the headphones into the band. I still say these are excellent headphones. Going to be selling my Bragi Dash headphones very soon!

Great Set of Headphonea
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these headphones. I wear these while walking my dog or while I'm moving around the house cleaning. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about a cord catching on something and ripping the ear pieces out of my ears. Great sound quality, comfortable, easy to use, the charge lasts a long time and they don't take long to charge.

Excellent set of Earbuds!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I give these headsets a 5 star rating!!! Would definitely recommend these to friends. First, these headphones are made by Bose, so obviously the quality is there. The sound and features on these headphones are fantastic. The features and sound really are great. The sound quality is the richest I've heard in open ear headphones. They easily pair to two Bluetooth devices and the Bose app for your phone is simple and easy to use. On top of that, these are noise cancelling, and the noise cancelling feature is adjustable to suit the user. Bottom line, if you like the neckband style headphones, these are wireless, they're noise cancelling, and they're Bose. You won't find better in this style. Things I Love: 1. variable noise canceling is spectacular! 2. They sound really good. 3. Battery life is excellent! Depending on your use of the headset it’ll last a day or longer. 4. Very comfortable earbuds that stay put. 5. Companion app makes managing multiple devices simple. (Wish there was an Apple Watch companion app to adjust the noise canceling) 6. No bulky dongle plugged into the phone. 7. No Wires

Bose never fails!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Have been using the qc30 headset for over a week and must say Bose exceeded my expectations. Very easy to pair, especially when you download the Bose app. I've used at malls, grocery stores and even the airport, I love the noise cancellation feature and the control you have over it. I like that it's sweatproof for those leg days at the gym. They felt good on, and the rubber like feel keeps it comfortably in place, unlike other makes and models I tried, that seem to move around a lot. The design is sleek, but would've been nice to have the magnets, didn't really like the earphones hanging. Overall Bose did not disappoint.

Great Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the fact that the headphones came 70% charged and I didn't have to wait long to try and use the headphones. Syncing the headphones to my ipad was a small challenge, but once they were connected, I haven't had to deal with that again. After that they didn't really need much prompting to sync to my ipod or phone. I don't mind the collar with the cooler weather, it doesn't bug me, but I'm not too sure how well I will like it in warmer weather. I have used them in waiting rooms and at school during planning time and love the fact that they cancel out almost all of the other sounds. It is nice that I do hear some sounds so that I can answer a student if they walk up to me. I have another pair of Bose over the ear headphones that I absolutely love, but these are great because they less conspicuous to wear. The sound is absolutely amazing. I haven’t found other headphones that even come close in sound quality. These are great headphones and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Good For Noisy Environments But Expensive
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose QuietControl 30 noise cancelling earbuds does do a nice job of keeping the noise out except for wind noise. When you're outside you can hear the whoosh of wind gusts blowing past your earbuds. The earbuds are attached to a horseshoe shaped collar that you wear loosely around your neck, so you can wear them walking or sitting but not working out as the collar bounces around too much. The volume and noise cancelling controls are easy to use but the on/off button is located on the inside of the collar and is somewhat awkward to use and takes a good deal of pressure with the index finger to activate. The sound is great as always for a Bose product, but for me the noise cancelling feature is not worth the price.
