Not Disappointed but not Elated
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these five days ago.... Plus: * Build quality seems good, overall. I like the rubberized finish. * Great noise reduction is as good as advertised. * Earpieces are comfortable. * I had the LG1100 and I believe the Bose sound quality (irrespective of NR) is slightly better than even the LG which was the best I had tried, including HBS900 and JayBirds. * Though a larger earpiece than LG, no problems keeping them in my ears, even when running. * One day I used them to stream radio at least 80% of the day as a test and the battery lasted about 11 hours. Negatives: * When not wearing a collared shirt, the neckband wants to rotate a bit. The LG had more weight at the ends which must have acted as a ballast. A minor inconvenience I can live with. * The cover to the charge port seems a little flimsy for a $300+ item. I hope it doesn't break off over time. * Bluetooth reception was spotty on the pair I returned (see next point). It dropped out often when I was sitting in certain positions. Hoping this pair is better. * The big one: This morning, after charging all night and after my morning walk I heard three tones, it powered off and never turned back on. I pressed power button many times and only got red flickers of the power light. Tried charging it again but the charging light never came on. Bricked. Took it back to Best Buy at lunch. Using my replacement pair right now but I must admit I am more than a little concerned they bricked after five days. I am glad I have the 2 year extended warranty.

Love them
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is amazing. When I received them they were so easy to set up and sync to my phone. I used these on a daily basis to call my mom and listen to music. When I call my mom I am driving so I turn the noise canceling down so that I can hear emergency vehicles. When I am at work I am able to turn it up so that I don't have to listen to others talking. I like that I am able to control the noise cancelling. The design is great. The only thing is it gets caught in my hair. I would also like a smaller set of ear plugs as both that have been included are a little big for my ears. Otherwise I would purchase these if I had the money.

No to noise cancellation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Greetings I hail from Peachtree City, GA and I am a new TRUCK DRIVER. I needed a Bluetooth headset without the bulk, with great outside/noise cancelling capabilities and an ok sound. To my surprise these three hundred dollars headphones met or exceeded only one of my expectations. The bass in these little things were quite a treat while I was listening to my Smooth jazz list. However, when I was talking to my dispatcher, customers, and others they asked that I call them back once I was sitting still in a quiet place. They heard all of my background noises and an echo also. I decided to return them for the ones I bought for my husband (LG Tone Platinum 1100) but they were out. I talk to my husband everyday on those and I can hardly tell when he's using them compared to not using any bluetooth.

I was wrong, they are Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my recent review gave a very poor rating to the Bose Quiet Control 30 headphones. When in the store for another purpose, I mentioned problem to a Best Buy Customer Service person . He recommended I try another pair, I did with excellent results, the previous pair. was probably defective. Great, variable, noise cancellation and as stated in my first review, the sound is amazingly good, for the size..Well worth the money. Thank you Best Buy Customer Service and apologies to Bose. I recommend trying all ear pieces for optimum noise cancellation.

Not what I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first discovered noise cancelling headphones while trying Bose headphones on in an Apple Store. They completely blocked the sound out in a busy store and it felt like a different dimension. The headphones don't seem to block out as much sound, and I don't get that surreal feeling. The over the ear headphones are much better at blocking out sound. I am still able to hear the radio in the car when I am trying to block out what they are listening to on the radio. I paid this much for headphones because of the noise cancelling feature exclusively. The neckband is hardly noticeably. It's basically felt as much as wearing a shirt which is not at all. The headphones are also very comfortable. I waited because I was looking forward to these, but I think I will trade them for the QC35 because I bought these for noise cancelling.

Depends on the noise you're trying to cancel
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had them for a month or so and I'm still not sure if they are worth the investment. How great they are really depends on the noise you are trying to cancel. I fly cross country every week for work. The night before I bought these headphones, I was stuck behind screaming kid and a disinterested mother who could care less that her kid was disturbing everyone within earshot. And of course my old earphones picked that exact time to stop working. Never again. I've owned every brand of wireless headphones from LG to Insignia, but after a few months, they all end up with the same problem... one (or both) of the earbuds stops working. My beloved LGs did it so much that Best Buy stopped offering Product Protection for that brand. Bose was the only brand I had not yet tried and the sales associate swore by them. When I saw the price tag, he was not the only one swearing. When I first put them on, I was a bit freaked out. It was eerily quiet... like being on the moon on something. I was in a public place but I couldn't hear a thing. I almost felt like I was unable hear at all. Plus, since the earbuds are ergonomically designed to fit in the ear canal, they virtually eliminated all background noise which can be a bit disorienting. I also felt the pressure in my ears building a bit. I still have that issue from time to time. After a week or so, I got accustomed to adjusting the external microphones to allow my preferred level of volume. I usually wear headphones in public (e.g. grocery shopping, taking public transportation) and it cancels out a good 98% of the surrounding conversations. This is both a good and a bad thing, because if someone is speaking to you and your nose cancelling is on high, you will not be able to hear them. I once wore it in a notoriously loud train station and was shocked when I pulled out one of my earbuds and discovered how loud it actually was around me. Be very careful wearing these on the street, as you will be unable to hear most background noise, if the noise cancelling is on "high". This will drastically reduce your situational awareness (e.g. if an EMS vehicle has it's sirens blaring as you attempt to cross the street). Also, I do not recommend wearing them while driving (obviously, for the same reason) That said... these earphones are not great for what I purchased them for... cancelling out other people's screaming brats. This is especially true when you are listening to quiet music or watching a video/movie on your phone. Fortunately, I have a pretty decent collection of rock music on my phone that helps to drown out the incessant noise... and coupled with the concert-quality acoustics provided by these headphones, it's enough to get the job done. Here are a few other random issues I've had with these headphones: -The buttons on this unit are multi-purpose and I think they put too many features on such a tiny switch. I know how to turn the noise cancelling up and down and turn the music volume up and down, but I am still struggling to differential between pausing and skipping songs... and I don't believe that there is any rewind or fast forward features on the unit. -Several times the headphones will randomly start making a strange loud buzzing noise. It's nothing that a quick trip to the charger can't fix, but it is annoying nonetheless... especially for the price. -The battery life stated for these headphones is 10 hours. I disagree. With continuous use, it's closer to 7 hours. -These headphones are not great for working out. They do not stay in place very well at all. Overall, I think they're pretty good headphones but again, I'm not sure they are worth the price (which is just shy of $400 after taxes and the Protection Plan.)

Glitchy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not really sure if these headphones were ready for market. The noise cancelling is great, and so is the sound. Amazing to hear how loud the inside of fitness club is that I go to once I take these headphones off. Unfortunately, the amount of stuttering with these headphones is really disappointing. If I have my iPhone flat on a table and I'm not moving, these headphones are really amazing. However, even the smallest amount of motion, like walking 10 feet, or even turning my head will cause these headphones to stutter. Anything beyond 10 feet and I run the risk of complete disconnection from my device, even though the specs say the range is 33 feet. Initially, I considered returning them, but just got used to keeping my phone with me, even when moving only a few feet. Really, they're that sensitive. Last Friday, 11 days after my return window closed for Best Buy, I left the health club and turned off my headphones. I noticed the green battery light stayed on, hadn't notice that before, even though I heard the headphones power off. Despite efforts to reset the headphones, and clear Bluetooth devices, this problem persists. This battery life indicator stays on all the time and draws down the battery power. Not good. I've had a service request into Bose since 4/15 but haven't heard a peep. I understand they had some problems on initial release last September, maybe I received a product that dates back to the initial release.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put them through their paces today! Metallica and Adele, noise cancelling on and off using the app as well as the switch works/ sounds as intended. Paired up with iPhone 6 within 30 seconds of taking them out of the box! Called home,( message sounded fine) sent text using Siri with the button. Everything worked great. I can't recommend these enough.

Great headphones horrible call headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previous qc20 owner. I'm sure you've read up on the features so I'll spare you your time. Similar sound and noise cancellation quality as qc20. HORRIBLE microphone call quality. If you are in an environment with background noise then these will not be usable unless you pull off the earbud so you can hold the microphone piece to your mouth. If your only purpose is music then no problem. If you plan on making calls then think twice.

Great sound, terrible Bluetooth!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work out with heavy weight and running at least 4-5 days a week. So when it comes to headphones for the gym I don't mind spending premium money so a good product. I have used Bose for years because of the excellent sound quality. When I saw these headphones it seemed like the perfect match. Noise canceling, battery life, Bose sound quality, the whole nine yards. For the most part they work and work well. Except for the headband constantly needing to be adjusted on you're neck. The MAJOR reason I wouldn't recommend these to a single soul is the connectivity. The Bluetooth constantly cuts out. You will lose you're phone connection for no reason or get a massively loud painful crack in your ears that cause a lot of pain. I tried keeping the phone closer, no go! For a 300 dollar set of headphones and a trusted company like Bose needless to say I'm extremely dissatisfied! If hadn't had them so long I would return them in a heartbeat! I took a chance and lost big on this one. I always read reviews first and saw a few talking about this problem and thought it may just be isolated. It was not. These now sit in my cabinet and I use the Apple headphones. Very disappointed!

One of the best yet by Bose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.QC 30-Overall One of The Best By Bose! The sound quality, the portability and overall quality build are just great with this model! I highly recommend it and have been very pleased. Wish the battery life was longer but we can't have it all, overall a winner!

Not terrible. Not mind-blowingly awesome.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are very comfortable in ear and the noise cancellation is very good. The app is pretty useless, though. Almost no bass from these buds, which I suppose is to be expected for earbuds. Terrible highs, and somewhat muddy sound. Some of that may be attributable to the Bluetooth connection but overall not as punchy or clear as I would like. These would have been great at a lower price, but at $300 they just aren't worth it.

Does the Job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to experience wireless headphones that would allow me the freedom to escape into my own world of music. And that it did. The noise cancellation worked way well for my needs. Crisp and clear sound control with the good fit in ear plugs. It took a bit of time for me to get the switching of pairing accurate, but I figured out what needed to be done quite easily. The rubberized finish had me a bit concerned with possible stains from fingers or other items, but the packaging and merchandise maintained its integrity overall. The quality overall caught my attention after a few uses as well as the battery life. I thought I would run into some manage control during my workouts but I was pleasantly surprised to not be annoyed or uncomfortable during my routine. Very satisfied with the design and range of sound control.
