These were exactly what I was looking for. My hearing isn't the best and these let you hear your phone conversation and cancels the surrounding noise. Plays music exquisitely.

Cancels out most noise when I'm working astound the house or out side. Love that I can turn the quiet control down when I am around others and need to hear what's going on too

Disconnect from the wires and you'll love the sound of these headphones. Still trying to determine if the phone connection has feedback. Otherwise, a great upgrade for us.

I had had Bose over-ear headphones years and liked the noise cancelling on flights. I bought a new pair, but had to admit the cord and their bulk was troublesome. So I looked into these slimmer, cordless ones, saw good reviews, and exchanged for them. They are so much more comfortable on the head, no cord to worry about, and the noise cancelling on my flight was surprisingly close to my old over-the-ear ones. Great improvement!

I am sad to report that the Bose QuietControl 30 are the worst Bose headphones that I have ever purchased/used... and it isn't even close. I have purchased a few wired Bose headphones that have lasted 20 years, but the wires eventually wore out. The Bose QuietControl 30's sound great and that is the only positive -- thus the one star. I intended to pair this with my smartphone and use them as I commute via bicycle. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to do this as the rubberized piece partially separated from the main unit, and made turning the headphones on/off nearly impossible and extremely difficult. Also, the Bluetooth connectivity was poor. A paired smartphone located within two feet would often lose connectivity with normal movement and occasionally drop completely. I had to keep my head positioned in a certain way and not move it to stay connected. I do not experience any issues if my smartphone is paired with anything else. The horseshoe collar is a neat design, but it routinely rotated around my neck and became a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps I received a lemon, but this was most certainly a wasted $300 and I would not recommend the headphones to anyone. In fact, I will probably stop using Bose after being a loyal customer for the last 20 years. Thank you.

Pros: Fantastic noise cancellation. Great for a noisy workspace or travel. App allows user to set level of noise cancellation. Really good sounding audio. AWESOME for blocking out noise in the workplace. Cons: Microphone is too sensitive for clear phone conversations, so NOT good for conference calls. Callers complain they hear all background noise and it’s too loud for conversation so I have to switch to phone and turn off Bluetooth to talk or switch to a different headset. App does not allow you to dial down the mic sensitivity. Earbuds do NOT retract which is inconvenient compared to competitor headsets. Again, the active noise cancellation is so good it is worth buying this just for that feature, and having a second Bluetooth for talking on the phone.

The Bose product works reasonably well as a noise cancelling headset. Over the ear models will work better, but this is a nice space saving alternative. The microphones do not always work the best if you are in a noisy environment. For example, they work great in my home office, but a marginal if I am outside. Battery life is OK. Will last for about nine hours on full noise cancelling mode. A bit disappointing for super long days with flights, but I can manage by turning off the power if not in use. Wires have a tendency to get caught in my briefcase. Now realize that it is important to use the case (provided) when storing in my briefcase. Overall, would purchase again, but then again, I have heard great things about the new samsung version of the AirPods...

Fantastic sound and noise reduction I've had this headphones for about 2 months now, and I couldn't be more happy. They performe well during normal work phonecals and even better on flights. Battery lofe is so good. For those of you that is sceptical of the "ring" around your neck, it's no problem at all. It's even better, because you always know where they are. They also works fine during workouts.

Battery lasts longer then 10 hours, noise canceling works great, and they're comfortable.

I use this product about 8-10 hours a day. The ear buds fit very well, sound is very good, battery life is about 8-10 hours depending on volume levels. sound canceling can be dangerous if you're walking about in public or even in your home with other people, if you have active sound cancelling up the whole way you can't hear much of anything external to earbuds if you're listening to any media.

I work in an open office environment that can be very distracting. Yes it is bizarre for an engineering firm. Using this noise cancellation headset is like closing a glass door. It blocks out all the chatter, especially while playing music. It is great for taking calls, handsfree. The noise cancellation is effective as hearing protection around machinery and when enjoying shooting sports. The only negative is the durability. The ear plungers can get pulled off and lost from seat belt and backpack straps. After 8 months of sometimes harsh daily use, the rubber at the end of the neck band was beginning to separate and finally the left ear piece stopped working. The extended warranty is essential, and I was glad to get the new replacement set at BB.

I don’t understand bad reviews. I am very happy with my new headphones. Great sound, connection, noise cancellation and fit( they never fall out of my ears). The calls I make are completely clear and callers can hear me clearly. Yes, the neck collar does move around a bit when I walk but it’s a minor problem. I have 5 Bose products and have been happy with all of them, especially these.

I have had Bose headphones since I graduated college in 2010. Most recent to this purchase I have a set of noise cancelling in ear from Bose and I love them. I purchased the Bluetooth version and feel it provides the same level of cancelling that the wired ones provided. The big benifet to these Bluetooth is it can connect to two devices at once and can store multiple other devices as well. Very satisfied.

Great wireless headphones but there is no cable to connect on airplane travel. i returned the QC30 for the QC20 which has cable connection and they work great.

this product is great if you are using them just for music or listening to ebooks or something but the microphone is subpar at best. If you are in a noisey room the mic will pick up the background noise and the person your speaking to want be able to hear you just the noise in the background. The noise cancelation is good but once you take the headphones off you have to adjust your ears to get them back to normal. I'm a big bose fan so it saddens me to say I'd have to give these head phones a 6 and a half out 10 in overall performance and quality. This is my second pair and both have the mic problem and the neck rest is not meant for wider neck guys like my self.

Excelen for listening music and very good battery life, however I also needed it for phone calls and it really disappointed me.. specially for the price..!! Every phone call whoever i was speaking with complained of background noise ..... as soon as I started a phone call I could hear static....

Great sound and long lasting battery good fit easy to set up

Seeking to replace LG Platinum Headset, purchased these. These are the best sound in a headset I've heard. Works for calls, but this headset caters to listening to music. If you don't have the buds in each ear on a call, the bud that is dangling will scratch on a shirt, making your conversation distracting. The headset turns around on the neck while wearing but not using. These are good for exercising and working in the yard, and if you receive a call, they'll work for that too. But the features don't seem geared towards everyday use. The free Bose app and noise cancelling work well, should be excellent on a flight. What these are: Superb for listening to music, as well as podcasts and news. What these are not: For everyday wear to take calls and converse.
