Everything excellent but power button could wear so applied work around which saw elsewhere pasting a jeweler pin on top and that has helped making direct contact each time.

This is review of the Bose QuietControl 30. I’m a bit familiar with BOSE headphones. We bought my wife her own Bose® QuietComfort® 20 only a month ago, These new WIRELESS QuietControl 30 headphones appear to be very similar headphones, but NO WIRES needed. The wires are replaced by a very lightweight collar, a convenient adjustment pod on the wire near your right ear, and a free BOSE Connect APP for your phone. The APP allows control over volume, noise reduction and Bluetooth connectivity. Very cool. My wife is now taking her turn walking around the block, comparing the noise reduction against the neighbor’s power lawn mower, using both phones. I had my turn already. Until she comes back, let’s review the sound quality and other important features of this NEW BOSE QC30 headphone. I’m also VERY familiar with headphones. I love’em. I’ve got several brands of in-ear phones and a collection of high-end branded over-the-ear phones. Sound quality with these BOSE (QC20/30) is very natural and very well balanced, comparing favorably with those other phones. It may not have the ultimate in treble detail or bass volume, but it more than makes up for it with non-fatiguing, long-term listening quality. Don’t be concerned — there is a solid bass and wide frequency response. And those other phones are overwhelmed by background noise when it’s there. I tend to favor the over-the-ear — less fuss, reliable seal — but I also acknowledge they can be more cumbersome, especially for travel or trying to catch a nap. These BOSE in-ear phones are quite comfortable, easier to use for me than most in-ears. The BOSE noise cancelling technology is about as good as it gets. What’s especially nice is how well BOSE hides its activity. There is NO background hissing, humming, whooshing or other distractions. OFF: there’s background noise; ON: there is no background noise. No impact on your music or movie which play on against a quiet background. This is how it ought to be. I want that engine noise gone, and so it is. It is important to realize that wireless involves a few compromises. I love to add my FIOS AMP to my iPhone for maximum power and fidelity. I can easily do that with the QC20, keep the noise cancelling, and learning to live with a bit of wire clutter. I get the extra volume of an amp and some added control over the sound. Battery life on my first test easily got to 10 hours. Bluetooth connection on day one was quick for both of our phones. It seems two phones are accommodated. The next day connectivity was not as slick. We had to “forget” the device, reconnect to Bluetooth, and then everything worked fine. I’d bet the two phone connections might be an issue; it has occasionally been in our vehicle Bluetooth system. More testing needed. My wife’s back from her walk. Her verdict? I think I just inherited her QC20. She’s a fan of the QC30 wireless. For her, getting rid of those wires is WONDERFUL. Having her arms uncluttered is WONDERFUL. Having the dial-in noise cancelling is WONDERFUL (the QC20s is ON/OFF, not variable.) So I guess we’ve reached a compromise. A happy wife is a happy life.

It works great, but it’s way to high there are cheaper designs out there. What I like about it is the earbuds stayed in the ears However the part around the neck would move a lot and cause the earbuds to come out. As along as you did not move it was ok. I wandered up taking it back to the store .

I've been a big Bose fan for a long time having owned several pair of noise reduction and noise cancelling headphones over the years along with a Soundlink Mini Bluetooth speaker and one of their HDTV sound bars. I've always been impressed with the build quality, ruggedness, and quality of sound produced by their devices. I've been wanting to tray a set of earbuds for a long time but couldn't justify spending the money since I already own Quietcomfort headphones as my roadwarrior gear. Bose recently released the QuietControl 30 Bluetooth in-ear buds and they continue to impress! In the box you get the headphones, two extra sets of earpieces to custom taylor the fit, charging cable (USB micro) and a firm shell carrying case. The headphones have a rubberized base collar that houses the electronics with the each earbud connected with about 8 inches of cord. The collar has some flex in it so it's easy to place around the neck. The right cord has the sound controls which not only controls volume but also track control and even noice cancelling level. The collar has a charging port that will take a USB micro cable (included but does not come with a charger block). When not in use the charging port does have a captive rubber plug to keep moisture out. The collar also has the power button and two small LED lights to indicate that it's powered on and that Bluetooth is in discovery mode. Ease of Use: Setup was easy. The instructions have a QR code which you scan with your smartphone. Depending on flavor of phone you are directed to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store so you can download the Connect app. Launch the app and then power up the headphones. The device connection is quickly discovered and paired. Once loaded you are ready to fire up your music player. I did find that the location of the controls took some getting use to and I would inadvertently pull the bud out of my right ear trying to operate it. Sound: The noise-cancelling and sound is extremely good and what you would expect from Bose. Sound is crisp and clear with great full spectrum response. Bass, mid-range and treble all sound great with no distortion. Noise-cancelling is adjustable via the smartphone app. More or less ambient noise with a simple swipe on the screen or push of a button on the inline control. Comfort: The earbuds fit comfortably but for me the collar took some time to get used to. I'm sure the designers were looking for a one-size-fits-all application so it's not uncomfortable but you know it's there if you are a large person. Price: MSRP is $299.99. Bose stuff has never been cheap but you get what you pay for. Great quality and great sound. Final thoughts: With a few minor tweaks (only for people with large necks) the QuietControl 30 is a must have. The more I use it the more comfortable I am with it. Great sound, great noise cancelling, great design. I'd pick it over an over the ear any day.

great sound for music, but not very good at all for telephone. Person in the other end could hear everything in the background. I adjusted it everyday possible with the app and on the header. Really wished it would have been the solution.
