Were not as I had hope. Did not cancel out noise very well and ear buds were uncomfortable.

Dont give 5 stars because it does not stay in neck properly. Moves around and dont like buds hanging.

It's good for music but to use it as a Bluetooth to talk it's a disappointment my friend on the other line can't hear me!

Within two months the battery stopped recharging and the microphone was poor. Still working with Bose on a replacement.

My calls are not always clear and often slips from around my neck .. too pricey to have all of these issues

I had to give these 5 stars but I really think they are in the 4.5 to 4.8 range. I have owned various versions of the LG Tone Headphones since 2012. 730 (2 pair) (800's died last week due to sweat getting into the power switch) and I love the neckband type headsets due to the longer battery life inherent to the design. I picked up these headphones over the weekend and I couldn't be happier. The construction of the neckband is soild. Not Having to listen to mindless office chatter is pure bliss. I had tried the over the ear QC 20's in the past but they were just too big for my taste and since I wear glasses, The cans don't always make a good seal around my ears and it is very awkward to listen to just one ear. Of all the wireless headset options, battery life of earbuds is just not there yet in most cases. 4-6 hours is what I was able to find that are not the neckband style. The QuietControl 30 last all day. I wore them from 7am to 6pm and the battery was at 50%. The noise canceling is top notch. The LG Tone and most other ANC headphones spit out a hiss when the noise canceling is on and the Bose are just silent, nothing, just music. One has to try them to experience how good these earbuds really are at muting the world and I would encourage one to do so due to the price of these headphones. I am not just spouting my consumer justification either. I truly love what Bose has put together in these headphones. Yes, they are not cheap but how can one put a price of being able to hear ones music undiluted with the outside world and office chatter AND still sound really good AND have a great battery life? I have not had any connection issues yet but it would depend on how congested the 2.4 band is. Things I Love: 1. variable noise canceling is spectacular! 2. They sound really good. 3. Battery life. 4. Very comfortable earbuds that stay put. 5. Companion app makes managing multiple devices simple. (Wish there was a Apple Watch companion app to adjust the noise canceling) 6. No bulky dongle plugged into the phone. 7. No Wires Things that bug me 1. Walking outside even with the noise canceling on, wind noise was more pronounced than I expected. 2. Price 3. Bluetooth signal could be stronger.

If your sedentary and need inner sanctuary to shut out the world while you vibe...these are your headphones. No way to retract wires. The actual headphones move on your neck with the cords choking you...noise canceling is only for you to block out the world not the world blocked out from your environment...on to the wireless Bose sport

I have had these headphones for a week now. I am very impressed with them! Here is my review in a nutshell: The sound is warm and very fun. The noise cancelation is top notch. They are very comfortable to wear. Here is my review out of the nutshell: The sound is classic Bose. Nice rich bass, highs are perfect and the detail is excellent. The detail really shines through on acoustic songs. And the bass shines on rap/rock. Listening to movie scores (Hans Zimmer - Inception) is awesome! The combination of detail and the slam of the bass makes for a powerful experience! The noise cancellation is excellent. I have used cheap noise canceling headphones before, and they were not tolerable. These do not have the loud white noise sound some other brands have. There is a very faint hiss (like the sound of distant rain) when no audio is playing. The second music begins to play there is nothing but full rich sound. The noise canceling function is adjustable via the Bose Connect app. For me I simply keep the noise canceling at max. When turned down it gives a strange effect, almost as if it is amplifying outside noise. I guess some people may find this useful, but for me I just prefer to have the background noise totally silenced all the time. Otherwise I'll take the earbuds out. These really block noises that are constant and repetitive, such as that of a fan or engine noise. If something makes a quick sound (like the thud of something hitting the floor) you will mildly hear it. And noises can still be slightly heard when the music is off. But with music on even at a low volume you hear virtually nothing around you. It's awesome!! I don't care for earbuds that go way down in your ear. These block your ear hole but are very comfortable! You will completely forget you have them on. And the neck band is super comfortable. Similar to LG Tones, but more comfortable and contouring. Battery life is great. I haven't tested them, but I fully believe the stated 10 hours. These are very high quality. They come with a very nice l round case that fits them perfectly. In summary, these are absolutely the real deal. They do the same job as their over the ear brothers, but in a remarkably smaller package. If you are a frequent traveler then these are absolutely the best you can buy. And even if you simply listen to music at home or work, these quiet the outside world and put you into a very relaxed state. For a person like me that doesn't like a lot of noise, these are priceless!
