After less than one year the left ear bud makes like a screeching sound with each bass hit other wise the sound and noise canceling was great

I had high hopes but the past two sets of earbuds I bought from Bose are trash, including these. At first I thought these were great and the noise canceling is good but within 2 weeks of gentle use there’s constant static in the right earbud. Also, while they seem to be a snug fit if you’re not too active, they tend to fall out if you’re chewing (gum, food, etc) so they’re definitely being returned ASAP.

Any speaker or headphones designed with batteries and other active electronics may introduce a low-sounding hum or hiss when the power is turned on. This is commonly referred to as a “noise floor” and may or may not be heard by the user. This is normal operation for this type of audio equipment and should only be heard in quiet environments when the power is turned on and no other audio source is playing.

I’ve gone Bose for a long time, but not anymore.
I’ve owned two of these (returned the first one for another). Both of them frequently glitch, as if they are trying to switch between stereo and mono, which is a disappointment. It also seems like the earbuds sometimes have difficulty maintaining contact with the charging pins. I’ll use them after they’ve been plugged in only to see that one of them has 0% life. Could not be more disappointed.

This being a recent product from Bose I expected sublime excellence in sound and overall product quality. Yet again...Just another disappointment. At max volume during phone calls, voices would come across as a whisper. Then I would have people tell me that I'm echoing in their phone. The device would disconnect when switching applications and not work as headphones when needed most. The app that drives the headphones is a failure at best. The adaptive eq resulted in no difference in sound when adjusted.

Questionable build quality

These headphones worked well for 13 months then one earbud developed loud static white noise. I did a lot of troubleshooting to include resetting Bluetooth and updating the Bose application on my Galaxy device. Its a shame these headphones died so quickly and I will be looking at other vendors moving forward. At an over 300 dollar price point its just not worth to stick with Bose.

Great for a while, but a lot… I mean A LOT of connection issues (iPhone) and randomly the sound goes low on one earbud and normal on the other. Call audio sucks, but other than that ok.

Hi ErikaT, Im glad you enjoyed the QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. If you are having connection and syncing issues with the earbuds you can try this to resolve these by Placing both earbuds into the charging case while keeping the lid open. The earbud status light will illuminate when the earbuds are inserted into the case, close the lid on the case. When the status light on the front of the case stops flashing, open the lid, remove just the right earbud, and place it into your right ear and you should hear the welcome tone. Place the left earbud in your ear. You should hear the welcome tone and can continue using your product.
