It has to much bass. Cant control that so that why I gave it a 3 star. When the music is loud and the song has to much bass it sound bad. The battery does not last as they say. My husband had to buy an additional battery for it to last a bit longer.

Use this as a portable BT speaker for jobs and golf. Love it

Nice speaker, but I wanted it for home an party usage. Sounds kinda distorted once you turn it up. Also, the Bluetooth connection is kinda shaky. It took me over 5 tries to connect it. I returned it ASAP.

The Bose S1 Pro exemplifies the old saying "Good things come in small packages". The sound quality is excellent, even at high volume, with very little distortion. The sound dispersion is very even over a wide angle making it a near perfect portable for either small venue performances or as a monitor speaker. At 15lbs including the battery, with an integrated top handle, it's easily portable. I would catagorize the construction as quite durable. Bose adds switchable equalization (AKA "ToneMatch") for 'flat', 'mic', and 'guitar'. There is also automatic 'positional equalization'. Internal sensors detect the speaker orientation and trigger Bose's Auto EQ, which recalibrates the internal audio settings for that placement. This is not a marketing gimmick, it actually changes the dispersion pattern and is a big factor in how well the S1 performs in different situations. There are two combo XLR/quarter inch jacks with volume, treble, bass, and reverb controls. Set flat, the S1 provided plenty of punch for a guitar, with plenty of bottom end. The reverb was impressive and provided a very nice effect. A third channel, bluetooth or 3.5mm jack, has only a volume control and could be useful for rehersal, playing tracks, or playing music on breaks. The included internal battery that can provide six or so hours of playtime is really icing on the cake. It makes the unit completely portable and eliminates the need for a wall plug. There is a crude battery gauge, but it's useful enough. The only real negative is that there is no phantom power on the XLR inputs. Adding a battery powered phantom power box or a small mixer with phantom power is not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have it available on at least one of the inputs. At $600, this is probably not for the casual user. But for a recording, performing, or even semi-serious amateur musician, I would highly recommend the very impressive Bose S1.

I purchased an open box item. But this item was used with lots of scratches on it with fair quality. Came with wrong charger cable. Returned this item within a week. Best Buy should little careful to listing any item with descriptions.

Bose doesn't disappoint with this not small, but extremely portable Bluetooth speaker. This has more features than I expected. To start, this guy is on the big side but for it's intended purpose, that's just fine because this isn't only a Bluetooth speaker, it's an instrument amp and a PA system as well. The control panel is really unique and has the look of a small mixing board. It has three independent channels. Two are for instruments and/or microphones and one if used for the Bluetooth connection or micro jack input. The top two channels inputs have reverb, bass, treble and volume controls. And the input jack for each is a multi-function jack that accepts 1/4” plugs (instruments or microphones), or 3-pin XLR plugs (microphones). The bottom channel has a Bluetooth connect button and a micro jack input. I have not had the opportunity to test out the top two channels, but using it as a Bluetooth speaker is really easy to connect and has lots of power to spare. This speaker sounds great outside with plenty of volume and deep rich bass, even outside. One of the best features is the cabinet itself. It has a well thought out shape that allows you to place it in any position you want. You can stand it up on a table, or tilt it straight back. You can set it on it's beveled side and use it as a monitor or even set it up on a tripod stand. There's a beefy handle built into the top of it that doesn't stick out, and allows you to pick it up easily using only one hand. The rechargeable battery came with my unit although it seems like it may be an option. Battery life is good and the three position switch allows you to put it in fast charge mode to quickly charge the battery. This is a well engineered speaker that seems to cover all the bases. It sounds great, has a big sound with a number of channels to connect to so that it can handle instruments, mics or Bluetooth music. I honestly can't find anything to complain about. Well done Bose!

I picked this up because it had done built in effects and a big brand name. Ther effects are very understated in the sound and there's little in the way of mid tones. Upping the bass just makes things sound unbalanced and weird in addition to reedy and thin. Really expected more from this. It's a great concept, but overall disappointing execution. It worked okay for karaoke, which was fun, but for performing as a guitarist / singer it was flat and the effects were weak.

For someone starting in the music industry this pro1 bose would be significant. My being a professional needed more highs and low to complete the track I was working on.

For the price that you pay, the speaker is average. I have owned 3 different Bose Speakers and loved them all but this one did not impress me.

Bose hit a home run with the Bose S1 Pro Portable Speaker. The versatility of this unit is amazing. Not only is it the best portable bluetooth speaker I now own by leaps and bounds, it also is an amazing PA system on the fly. It's light, easy to use, functional, can be titled. REALLY crisp clear separation of sound channels when using a guitar and mic together. I am amazed at this little guy. It's very lightweight as well, and has a handle on top for easy moving and storage. The only thing I wish they would have included would have been a nice case for the speaker itself. But its super rugged so I don't see it really getting too banged up. I love also the ability to charge it and use it portably. This will now be my hands down go to speaker for outdoor parties as well as small family gatherings. I can't stress enough how much I like this speaker. Well Done Bose.

It sounds ok. No bass at all and starts to sound distorted when you turn up the volume approaching 3/4 to max.

Quality was okay when you listen to music on loud it makes some annoying sound you can't max the volume

I bought this Bosse speaker which specified to come with the AC Adapter Power Cable and Cover. I have simply received the speaker, and absolutely NO light cable or anything else... I tried to receive online assistance and they redirected me to telephone help, I spent more than an hour waiting and nothing! it's a disappointment!
