These came at the right time as we were going on a two week vacation. I snore and my wife has to wear her airpods to help her sleep. Well these have taken there place with the airpods she could still her me snore. These buds have taken care of all of that she slept all night with no issue. They fit perfectly in her ears. They do come with 3 sizes of buds. Witch is nice they didn't poke out and snag on the pillow. A great charge for such a small product. The Boise sound app is awesome it has some great choices to listen to and a great sound they really do drown out other sounds. Now if you need to wake up to the alam make sure you check it to adjust how loud it comes threw. You can get a notification of calls on the series 2 I hear that the 1st series you couldn't and you don't get a sound when you rub the buds against the pillow. They are a little pricey but if you want a good night sleep these are worth every penny.

Life-Changing Product... After a Clunky Setup

I was super excited to see that Bose had announced a new version of its Sleepbuds after abruptly discontinuing the original version last year. I never had a chance to try the first iteration, but as a light sleeper living in the downtown area of a major city, I've long been looking for a way to drown out noise at night. After 2 weeks of use, I can say that the Sleepbuds II have absolutely led to a better night's sleep -- but only after a clunky setup experience and adjusting for proper volume and comfort. === SETUP (2 Stars) === It seems like the setup experience should be easy enough, and it is for the most part. Just download the Bose Sleep app, connect the buds via Bluetooth, and you should be good to go. Unfortunately, there's more to it than that, and Bose isn't very transparent about this. The quick start guide says to connect the charging case to power before pairing with the Bose Sleep app. But what Bose doesn't tell you is that you should fully charge the case and Sleepbuds for at least 6 hours before attempting to pair. This recommendation is hidden on the full owner's manual which is only available on the Bose website and not included in the box. Even after letting the case and Sleepbuds charge for more than 6 hours, my Sleepbuds would not report a charge above 26% - no matter how long I let them charge. After consulting with Bose support, the solution was to press the reset button on the back of the charging case with a paper clip, since apparently the batteries in both the case and Sleepbuds were not properly calibrated. After that, the case and Sleepbuds now charge properly and report the correct batter level via the app. None of this is immediately obvious and several other users have reported this problem on Bose's own online forums. So I suspect it will also be a problem for average users, as well - so hopefully this review will help someone. === COMFORT (5 Stars) === I was actually shocked when I first saw the Sleepbuds -- they are amazingly small and do not protrude out of my ears at all. The default medium tip size fits my ears perfectly. The first night I wore them, I realized I had not fully twisted one of the Sleepbuds to get the wing to snap under my ear ridge -- so it ended up falling out halfway through the night. Now, I make a conscious effort to fully twist and secure the buds into place before going to sleep each night. No problems at at all since then. I am exclusively a side-sleeper so I was worried that the Sleepbuds would cause a lot of pressure or discomfort while laying my ears directly on the pillow. I will admit, the first night, I could certainly tell that something was in my ear as I laid on my side, but it never caused any pain or discomfort. Since the buds don't protrude at all, the pressure from my pillow does not force the Sleepbuds deeper into my ears -- they just sit flush with my pillow. If you are a very heavy sleeper and put a lot of pressure on your head or pillow, you might have a different experience. But for me, the comfort of the Sleepbuds far exceeded my expectations, and after two weeks of wearing them, I can't even tell I'm wearing them. === SOUNDS AND CUSTOMIZATIONS (5 Stars) === Bose has an excellent selection of sounds available through the Bose Sleep app, and some of the default sounds are my favorites. "Swell" makes my feel like I'm right near the ocean with gentle waves breaking. "Warm Static" is a very gentle white noise. "Rinse" mimics the gentle sound of rain falling on a roof or window. There are a lot of other sounds available via the Sound Library section of the app. The app also lets you set an alarm or enable alerts for incoming phone calls. Sounds can be set to play all night or only for a specific amount of time (anywhere from 30 minutes to 8 hours). What's nice is that the sounds are stored on the earbuds themselves, so even if you lose your Bluetooth connection, the sound keeps playing. What I've learned with these Sleepbuds is that "less is more" -- You really don't need to keep the volume very high. The app actually warns you against doing so if you set the volume at higher levels. I've found that keeping the volume at about 33% is the sweet spot, but this will obviously vary from person to person. It's important to keep in mind that these are noise-masking earbuds, NOT noise-cancelling. So there will still be some ambient noise that can be heard with the Sleepbuds worn. But the sounds in the Bose app are so perfectly tuned that I have not heard any external sounds while sleeping since I began wearing them. === IMPROVEMENT TO SLEEP QUALITY (5 Stars) === So this is obviously the main reason anyone would consider the Sleepbuds -- and I'm so happy to say that they have made a massive improvement to my sleep. It took some trial and error to find the right sounds and volume levels. I will admit that I woke up the first night I wore them because the volume was too high and I realized I didn't particularly like whatever sound I had chosen. My advice is to not give up -- keep trying various sounds and volume levels until you find what works for you. I live in an apartment complex in the downtown area of a major city, so noise is just a fact of life. Upstairs neighbors, police sirens, dogs barking -- you name it, I've heard it. With the Sleepbuds, I no longer have to worry about the noisy neighbor who wakes up at 4:00am, or the dog who barks all night. The calming sounds from the Sleepbuds brilliantly mask all of this noise, allowing me to get a full night of uninterrupted sleep. After nearly 2 full weeks of wearing them nightly, I can safely say that I am waking up more rested than I have in long time. === OVERALL === I really love the Sleepbuds. I don't know of any other mainstream product on the market in this category, but I'm so glad that Bose chose to bring back the Sleepbuds with the comfort and quality that they're known for. I had to knock off a star for the sub-par setup experience, but I'm hopeful that Bose will improve that with future firmware updates. To new buyers who may be questioning the comfort or effectiveness of the Sleepbuds, my advice is to stick with it and try different combinations of sounds, volume levels, and ear tip sizes. You may be rewarded with some of the best sleep you've had in a while.

Cut the Noise & Sleep (or Study) Like a Pro

I’ve been using the original version of Bose Sleepbuds for a couple of years & have found them to be comfortable, durable & helpful. The Sleepbuds II are even better! Setup: As usual, Bose makes setup super easy. The start-up guide leads you to download the Bose Sleep App & walks you through every simple step. It’s very quick, does not require setting up an account or Login (which is great!) & pairs with the App/device almost immediately. App: The App comes loaded with a library of several categories of sounds to choose from (Noise Masking, Naturescapes, Tranquilities). There are also additional sounds that can be downloaded (at no charge). The App has been greatly improved over time & is fully customizable. You can set alarms & add a sleep timer. You can also use the Sleepbuds if your phone is off or in another room. Comfort: As a side-sleeper who uses a firm memory-foam pillow, I was initially concerned about comfort. In the past, I found traditional foam ear plugs to be very uncomfortable. However, these Sleepbuds lay flat in the ear (not like most audio earbuds that protrude), & the material that touches your ear feels very soft & silky. I’ve never experienced discomfort or irritation even after a full night’s sleep. Convenience: I used to lug around a white-noise machine when traveling. The Sleepbuds come in a very compact, secure case saving me valuable space & weight. I also use them for work & study. It’s so much easier to just pop them in when I need to concentrate, rather than searching for a YouTube “study music” video to drown out the noise.

Great update to an already good product!

I've owned the original Noise-Masking Sleepbuds for 2 years now, and they have been working great. These Bose Sleepbuds II take an already good product and make it great! If you are wondering what they differences are between the two, you're in the right place! There are some cosmetic changes, but functionality-wise, they remain true to the original. The differences: • The aluminum case now has an almost 'rose gold' look to it, compared to the original silver • The design of the buds is now more oval, the original was round • The charging lights are now bigger and also a lot brighter • There are 3 pin connections to charge the buds vs 2 on the original • The docking magnet is almost twice the size for an instant and solid connection • The sound channel is slightly shallower now, compared to the original, presumably for hygiene reasons • The charging of the case is via USB-C now instead of mini-USB • There is no longer a soft protective bag provided with the Sleepbuds II Set up was a breeze, they were already 50% charged when they arrived, so I topped them off within an hour or so. The charging lights are bright and strong as they pulsate to show charging status. I already had the Bose Sleep App downloaded, so launched it, put the Sleepbuds II in my ear and they were recognized first time. Perfect. They even picked up the last sound that I was playing using the previous version of the Sleepbuds. I was able to pick up seamlessly where I left off. The design of the Sleepbuds II is very low profile, very comfortable and easy to slip into your ear. The 'ear shaped' attachment rests smoothly in your ear while you sleep. You can lay on your side comfortably with them in, for uninterrupted sleep. They don't move around in your ear at all (I used the ones installed from the factory), and are easy to pull out of your ear after use. There are a variety of ambient sounds to choose, from Ocean Waves to Rain, Rustling Leaves to City Sounds, something for everyone. Simply select a soundtrack, select your volume and lay down your head. The noise masking capability of the Sleepbuds II is superior to the previous generation, helping to provide uninterrupted sleep, depending on the volume you set them at. They do feel like they help to cut you off from the outside world. With the app you can also check the battery life, which is exemplary for such a small product, you can even use the buds without a phone (after connecting), allowing you to leave your phone in another room, not be disturbed by notifications, but still have the soothing sounds playing through the earbuds. Nice touch! You can set timers for the length of play, you can set volume limits, so that you don't blow out your ears and change the apps mode to dark mode, so you aren't blinded at night if changing the settings. You can also set alarms/sounds to wake you up as well. The app is very robust and hasn't crashed on me while using it. Overall, a very nice upgrade to an already good product, providing comfort, elegance, and genuine noise-masking sleep quality.

These Sleepbuds are just awesome! They are the most comfortable buds, even when sleeping on my side. The don’t fall out and they don’t get pushed in. My important is they completely block out my partners snoring and they last all night. The required App is a bit weak, slow to connect to the buds and not very intuitive. The volume is completely controlled by the App so you can’t use the phone volume controls and the volume is pretty low even at full volume on the App but they are loud enough to block unwanted noise. There is a good selection of sounds to choose from but there is no import feature so what Bose provides is all you get. Overall these buds really make a difference in my life.

FIRST OFF THE EARBUDS DO NOT ALLOW FOR USE WITH YOUR OWN MUSIC OR STREAMING AUDIO. IT WILL ONLY WORK WITH THE APP AND IT'S PRE-PROGRAMMED SOUNDS. The fit is amazing, the material is very soft and is very comfortable. The size and design allow for inner ear placement whereas you can rest on the pillow/mattress with your head flat and not have the earbud press into your ear and cause discomfort. The pairing is very easy and the ambien sound blocking is a very nice feature if you have late night traffic noise or late ngiht trains, planes...it helps with everything. It is not a must have but it is a definite plus when you have it and it will help restless sleepers with the soothing sounds to keep your mind from racing at night and block out sounds to help make an environment conducive to sleeping.

The sleep bubs themselves are life changing. My wife snores (loud) and I would wake up 5-6 times a night, even with earplugs in. I purchased them and then......nothing. No more storing, Eight solid hours of sleep every night. I hate ear buds, but these fit so perfectly and I sleep on my side. They just simply improved my quality of life. I would have given them 5 stars but the USB-C cord melted and electrocuted me after a week, even though it wasn't plugged into anything. I tried for two hours to contact Bose customer support (out sourced to India by the way) without success. So, awesome product, cord is a fire hazard.

I have to admit that when I first heard about this product I was a bit skeptical if it was worth buying plus the fact that it’s probably priced a bit over what it should be. I read a few reviews that sounded really good, so I decided to go for it. Now just for some background I have been using various MP3 players or my phone with a pair of earbuds for a long time to sleep and that works for the most part but there are some frustrating parts. One of them is the fact that using wired earbuds while you’re sleeping with your phone on your bed, things can get tangled, get in your way and generally upset your sleep. Now here comes the Bose Sleepbuds. I have been sleeping with these for about a week now and I have to say that they are very comfortable, fit in my ears very well and the soothing noise it makes to drown out all the outside noises has been great. I do wish it wasn’t so expensive but the way I see it it’s much better than the alternatives. I cannot find any true wireless Bluetooth earbuds that can duplicate this. So to close, if you are the type of person who needs a little extra noise while you’re sleeping and have a significant other, in which you cannot have some sort of white noise machine next to you, this is the next best option.

The Bose Sleep is extremely comfortable. The sound quality is consistent with other Bose products. If you have a partner that snores, this really is the way to go. I’ve tried every earplug on the market...the only one that really worked was the Mack’s wax plugs. But, earplugs are uncomfortable and fall out during the night. The Bose Sleep actually stay in the ear without a problem (and I am a side sleeper)! Bose seems to be adding additional sounds on the app. I do have one complaint. You can only download a dozen or so sounds. Once you fill up the “my sounds” from the app, the app will notify you that you need to remove sounds so that you can add the new sound. Problem: I still cannot figure out how to remove a sound that I downloaded. It is not clear how to do that...come on Bose, fix that issue quickly! As for my Best Buy experience, I was really disappointed with the employee at the Best Buy in Amarillo, Texas. Apparently, I stood in the wrong line when picking up my order. I went to the customer service line, since there were no employees at the pick-up counter. The gal at customer service rudely informed me about which line I was to stand in...that was accompanied by the eye-rolling routine. I considered speaking with a manager about the employee but decided to just leave. Historically, I have had exceptional service at most Best Buy stores; this seemed to be the exception to my past experiences.

I was a little hesitant to buy this, but saw a good review on it, so I decided to give it a try. I now use this every night. I'm a light sleeper, so pets tend to wake me up. This blocks out sound very well, and the audio is perfect for sleeping. These fit in place very well. I have never had them fall out during sleep, and I turn over a good bit. They are very comfortable. The battery life is excellent. They can easily last 11 hours or so. The charging case is good for about three nights. I have noticed that if I don't charge it when it's down to two indicator lights, the battery will die on the case and earbuds. The alarm also works very well. It has options for a gentle alarm (which I prefer) to a standard 'shock you out of your sleep' alarm. These will not stream music. It uses ambient sounds, and there are a number of options.

    Cannot Sleep Without These

Wow these things are incredible! I bought mine in February of 2022 and have been using them every night since. I’m really not one to write reviews, but I cannot sleep without them. So these were my second pair of sleep earbuds I tried, the first being QuietOn which only would muffle some sound, but I would still hear background noise. Theses sleebuds definitely does have an adjustment period, but once you pass over that, it’s nothing but smooth sailing from there on out. I have sensitive ears and when I would first sleep with them, I was over aware of how they felt in my ears. At first, they did feel uncomfortable in my ears and when I would sleep on my side (I’m a big side sleeper!). But I just had a feeling that I just needed to keep wearing them in order for them to feel comfortable and they feel great now! I even forget that I have them in when I’m asleep! They have so many sounds included on the app it’s really cool! One review I read said something that I definitely agree with and will reiterate: it takes some time to find the sound(s) that works for you. For me, my sound is Sand. It sounds like a much calmer, less stacticy version of white noise. Also the Island Hop is nice, but it needs to be a little louder in order to be effective. You just have to keep playing around with the sounds, removing and adding as needed before you find a sound for yourself. After I take a sleeping pill, and put the sleepbuds in, I’m out like a light. I haven’t had good sleep like this in years. The sleeping pill I only take when I have work the night before, but when I just use the sleep buds on my day off, I still have a great night sleep. Without them, I’m woken up by every little thing as I’m a very, very light sleeper. It knocks out the sound of my man’s snoring, outside traffic, and the dogs that sleep in my room. When I do wake up throughout the night, the bose lulls me back to sleep in no time at all. There are a couple cons to take into consideration. 1- sometimes when the sleepbuds are put in the case, you will think they are charging but they are not. There have been a few instances where I put them in and heard them click, but they were not charging. They have to click and light up in order for them to charge. So maybe that’s a user error, but something to keep in mind. 2- the adjustment period for me was about two-three weeks of trial and error between getting use to the pain of the buds being in my ears and finding the right sound. Pros: 1- wide variety of sounds!! so many different sounds that act as sleep aides it’s really cool. 2- long lasting battery life. when charged properly, they last all night and then some. I only charge the case twice a week 3- right sound= true noise cancellation. a person literally robbed my apartment a few nights ago and because I had these in, I didn’t even hear my dog bark to warn me of the intruder. So noise canceling for sure All in all, solid purchase and would definitely recommend. I have to buy a pair for my boyfriend as well so he can also experience this bliss.

Short summary/pros and cons at the bottom of this review. My spouse snores like an Ox and I have tried everything from sleeping on side(s) to snore strips and nothing has worked. It’s been costing me hours of sleep every night so decided to give these a go. Setup instructions were clear, and you’ll need the Bose sleep app to use these as intended. Comes with the battery charger/holder where the earbuds sit in, as well as a usb A to C charger and three different eartips. I used the standard middle size that were already on and they fit perfectly. Normally noise cancelling earbuds create an uncomfortable vacuum in my ears after prolonged use, but I have to say after a full nights sleep, I had no issues whatsoever. They stayed in the entire time and I tried to nudge, twist and turn my head to see how well they stayed in. The best feature is that they stay in your ear and don’t stick out like normal earbuds, so if you are a side sleeper these still works perfectly! I used the earbuds at the recommended/safe threshold in the app and it blocked out the noise and most of my spouse snoring. If I turned it up a bit to about 80%, I couldn’t hear anything other than what was playing through the app. Use the volume above this value at your own risk! There’s tons of settings where you can conserve battery life by having the earbuds turn themselves off after a certain amount of time, stretching from 1 hour up to 8 hours or just “all night”. The battery life on these are supposedly 8 hours and you are able to fully charge them in the case 3 times before the case itself needs to be recharged. The only real negative thing I have to say is that the audio library in the app is severely lacking. Sure, there are 50 different options but a lot of them are similar. On Bose product page they do state that “More content will be added to the Sound Library through future software updates.” The price is $249 and anything that has noise cancelling that is normally worth it usually has a threshold of +$150. It’s still a very high price that supposedly is marked for one usage. For the same price you can buy Bose other products, so at a discount down to $200 I highly recommend this product. Price is of course subjective and for me, this was worth every penny to regain my sleeping cycle. It’s a steep initial investment, but over time you’ll be glad you got them if you are in the same predicament as myself. Pros: 8 h battery life Comfortable regardless of sleeping position Luxurious earbuds charger Lots of customization Cons: Lacking audio library High price for “niche” product

Magical. These headphones charge quick, they are sleek and comfy. I love the sound library of how you can cross a nature scene with adding rain or campfire. I was able to wakeup with ease thanks to their alarm setting and it lasts 10 hours. I couldn’t hear my crazy tenant with tourettes upstairs and I didn’t hear my fiancé snoring in my ear. The buds didn’t fall out and I forgot I had them on. It took me an hour and a half to get used to idea of ongoing sound but I didn’t wakeup once from my sleep! Now I cant imagine myself not using these headphones

so theres good thing to these n a bad. good thing is good audio quality out of these with the sounds they use through the bose music sleep app but it doesnt make up for issues they have let me explain why. 1.) you are only limited to the bose sleep sounds on there app that is all even though they are great variety n will help you sleep would be nice if you could of used for music as well....... 2.) sometimes if you go to connect the bose sleep app you need to use will freeze only way will work to restart it all then it will loose connection. 3.) if your'e a side sleeper these WILL FALL OUT. 4.) your only limited to the sounds they give you. so whats the postives well lets start 1.) comfortable overall fit 2.) charges fairly quickly 3.) audio quality is pretty good for sounds being used. 4.) nice led lighting to show charging rates 5.) usb c charging capable

I am SOOOO happy they released a 2nd version of these. These sleep buds saved my marriage. Only slightly exaggerating. I am able to sleep next to my husband his snoring and need for TV without an issue now. When they recalled them about a year ago I was so sad and left searching all over for a replacement. Nothing stood up to the comfort and sound quality of these sleep buds. These are not for someone who wants to fall asleep listening to their favorite band or podcast. These are specifically designed for SLEEP and they do an amazing job! You have a variety of sleep sounds to choose from and those help to drown out the noise around you whether snoring tv traffic or noisy neighbors this is so perfect. They are so small in size I can sleep on my side without issue and the variety in ear bud sizes allow me to choose the best fit so they don't fall out while sleeping. I trust the 2nd version has fixed the battery issue, they have enhanced the charging ports and allow one to be used at a time now too. The ONLY thing I would love to see on these is a tracker in case I drop one on the floor. A beeping noise to help me find it would be so helpful.

I wanted to love these SleepBuds. I purchased them while on a trip to California. There was a lot of environmental noise that I could hear from my hotel room making sleep difficult. So the next day I purchased the SleepBuds. They were comfortable, fit well and I liked the functionality. Unfortunately, I could hear the rushing of my heart beat the entire time making it even more difficult to fall asleep than the original noise. I tried to adjust them but to no avail so they went back to Best Buy.

I have used so many different brands and types, but these are my all time favorites. Being in the military, loud environments can make it challenging to sleep, these blocked the noise and the ringing in my ears that happen when it’s too quiet. If you need sleeping buds these are the ones! Light and the only headset that didn’t fall out and could sleep on side without feeling pain or discomfort. Thanks for the better nights of sleep!

I bought this because live in a downtown apartment where there is constant yelling, music, noise etc at all hours of the day. I was desperate which is why I paid the price for these lol. They work well and I am satisfied. If you are comfortable with buying earbuds that can’t do anything other than play pre downloaded sound then these are for you. They fit comfortably in my ear majority of the time. I use size 2. Every now and then depending on my position they feel uncomfortable but I can easily put them back into place. They do cover up all of the extra environmental sounds. These in addition to my black out curtains leave me rested and happy. I still think they are extremely over priced

Title says it all. Huge thank you to Bose. Last night was my first time using them and had my first night of uninterrupted sleep in months. My upstairs neighbor gets up at 4am and the creecky floorboards always woke me up. Every night. They even have carpet. And they weren’t stomping, so not their fault. So it was bad. I tried multiple ear plugs that didn’t block the noise. I tried my regular ear buds but those only last 5 hours so once they died I woke up. A speaker playing white noise also didn’t cover up the sounds and my neighbor was still waking me up. That’s how loud their floor is. I heard nothing with these. Can’t wait for more uninterrupted nights. These will also be perfect for daytime naps! I think they have the potential to block out louder sounds like upstairs neighbor stomping or even loud music from a neighbor. The only reason it’s a 4 star review instead of 5 is because they caused slight discomfort to the area of my ears just outside the ear canal. The way the ear buds rest on the area and there is no padded cover since it’s the charge area. Kinda hard to explain. I used the L size tips, maybe I’ll try M tonight see if that helps. Just hope it doesn’t get worse than this by using them every night. The sounds are relaxing and you can download more to the ear buds. Excited to try others. They held a charge and worked all night, did not fall out, and I could sleep on my side. I truly hope these hold up over time and keep working. I mean it’s Bose so I have faith in them. The buds don’t have as much bass as I was expecting, but I’m just used to my regular ear buds which do have good bass. Volume doesn’t get as high as regular ear buds, but it’s pretty loud and loud enough to block external sounds. So overall does the job well. If you’re having sleepless nights due to sounds out of your control, seriously give these a try. You can always return them I believe the BB policy is 15 days.

I use these mostly when traveling. They do a great job of masking sounds so I can sleep better. They are very soft and Comfortable. The new Version II are a little bigger. But that gets you a better battery life, up to 10 hours on a Single charge, and I feel the little bit bigger size gives me a better fit and helps with blocking sound. And I have Notice the new case has a stronger magnet which is better at lining up the sleep buds to charge. The case is very nice for traveling and can charge the sleep buds a few times with out needing to be charged it self. They come with three different size earpieces. After I found what ones fits best for me they stay snug and secure all night even with tossing and turning. The Bose sleep app is easy to use and has a variety of different sounds you can choose from. After picking my sound I usually set a timer for about an hour of it playing sound to help mask other noises.
