This bar sounds amazing without it. I may still get the sub but, for most purposes, it does great without it.

Definitely an upgrade over previous Polk soundbar that was being used. Nothing will best a full surround sound system but is a good substitute

My tv is mounted above fireplace so sound is up high I have 2 hearing aids that I wear and the sound carries much better and makes watching more enjoyable
