Popping, cracking, crackling sounds.... AWFUL

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to try the Bose 600 sounder, but after connecting it to a brand new LG C2 OLED TV, the popping an cracking sound started! Just like so many are saying online, they have the same issue. I've spent hours with Bose tech support trying to solve to no avail. Also, the Amber light is constantly pulsing, goes away for a few hours and comes back daily. I've tried new HDMI Cables and every other tip from Reddit users. At least I'm not alone with all these issue. Like Bose tech support told me, when I'm back from vacation I might just need to return it.

Disappointed in Bose/do not recommend this product

The sound goes off for a period of time. At one time you could change the channel and go back and it’s back on. Now, it goes off and on, but doesn’t always come back on. Right now it’s been off for 40 minutes. The first time we called Bose, they did troubleshoot, but no help. We missed the return day to Best Buy by 2 weeks. Bose finally said they could try to repair, but no assurance at this time on how long it might take. It’s just a shame that you spend nearly $500 for the name Bose, and it takes this long to try to get the problem resolved… which has not been resolved as of yet.

If you are using a HDMI cable with your soundbar, I would recommend checking that the TV has CEC settings enabled, and to also check the Bose Music app to adjust the HDMI audio settings: https://bose.life/3Uj0HXS. I would recommend using Options 2 and 4 for audio related issues.

Full of bugs. Total mess. Can't even use eARC.

When using eARC, there are all sorts of handshake problems with my LG OLED. Sometimes the audio is muted. Sometimes it plays. Anytime you use an app to watch something, there is 3 seconds of silence before the soundbar catches up. Other times the audio plays with popping or clicking in the background. Can only be fixed by using optical vs HDMI. Very very frustrating experience. The Bose support team is full of people that say to restart the unit, reconnect wifi and do the most basic things to fix it. Too bad they don't have any real fixes. The app is terrible too. Even setting it up, their support links take you to error 404 webpages. This unit also causes some sort of wifi interference. If it was near my 2022 apple tv, it would cause it to lose wifi. Any time I unplugged the soundbar, I watched WiFi return to my apple tv. I wish it was just me, but too many others are reporting more of the same.

Thank you for your post. Sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with your Soundbar 600. It is recommended that you turn off your TV speakers and use only your Bose speakers to avoid the poor or delayed sound. Open the TV menu and look for audio settings where there is typically an option to disable the internal TV speakers. Notified that the return was received on 6/15 and received my refund notice on 7/31. Now I have to wait for the bank to deposit it, which will add more days. Called on 7/14 and told there was nothing I can do about it and the highest level I could talk to was a supervisor. Promised it will be done is 10 business days; promise not realized. Very Very disappointing from a LONG time customer! who has spent a lot of money at Best Buy. Will have to look at other competitors.

Not plug and play

The app is buggy and kept reconnecting over and over without really setting up. My Sonos was plug and play and with clear cut instructions. No recommendation from me!

Open box was clearly not inspected

It was missing a cable, had no battery in the remote, and wouldn’t turn on. Very disappointed, as the item was also offered in new condition when I ordered the open box, but now is not available at all online or in stores.
